I think this season really showed us how important that #1 seed really is. Mostly because of the Bye week.
Just think, we beat the Jets, Pats, and Broncos like we should have and we are in that #1 spot. And instead of Bernard, Benford, Spector, Rapp etc all getting injured against the Steelers, all our guys are home and resting and we actually get Davis back with the extra rest as well.
Look at the road the Ravens have to go: 1 easy home playoff game against a low-ranked opponent. Then the Conf Champ at home, and you're there.
As #1 you are playing the worst team in seeds 4-7. #2 vs#3 probably kill each other off. Generally the #4div winner is usually a 8-10 win team.
you still need to execute your plays.
don’t forget….SF, the one seed got the lead around the same point in the game.
tampa bay had the ball under 2 down 8.
the vulnerable 1 seeds are those in weak divisions with weak schedules

Last year was different. The team seemed just emotionally spent give all that happened.
yesterday it was small margins with a play here/ there.

I would have wanted thr underneath route. Even if Diggs doesn’t get the 1st, it’s 3 rd and short and burns clock or forces KC to use time out.
I wanted to score to tie or win with under 20 seconds snd KC has no time outs.
I wouldn’t have gone to the end zone with 1:55 and 2 TOS. Under 1 and KC out of TOS…sure.

Agreed. Starting with - if they didn't hit their target # of shovelers at $20/hr, they need to raise their rate of pay. And if they hit their target # of shovelers but only got the aisles cleared before the last game, they need a higher target #.

As I understand it, the Bills do have professional companies clearing the sidelines, tunnel, and field. But the steep steps and seat areas have to be done by hand. What "snow removal company" is going to pay a staff to sit around in case they are needed? They're going to do just what Jani-King is doing: hire hourly workers.
A company can install slides in stairs to dump snow on the ground and remove it.

More snow dumped on the stadium, are the Bills able to systematically clear it ahead of Sunday or are they asking the public for help again?
They should be able to clear it out Friday and Saturday. For 48 hrs before kickoff it should be dry.

Great stuff. The article doesn't quite say it, but I remember there was reporting at the time that Belichick wanted to move forward with Garoppolo. It was Garoppolo's contract year, and something had to be done. Bill wanted to go with his QB of the future, and Brady didn't want to go. Kraft decided Brady would stay. The year Jimmy left, the Pats lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles. The following year, still with Brady, they won it over the Rams.
Now, some would like to say that history proved Kraft was right, but I think it's important to remember that Belichick had a long history of letting his top talent go after their peak but before they were ready to retire. Lawyer Milloy was the first, but there were a lot of guys along the way. Belichick was always moving younger guys into the lineup, and that's what kept him on top. He wanted to do it with Brady, because he thought he could get it done with Garoppolo, and maybe he was right. If he WAS right, the Pats would still have a franchise QB at the top of his game. (I know, Jimmy hasn't gotten it done elsewhere, but there are a lot players who played their best football when they played for the Patriots.)
Thanks for posting this. It's interesting.
part of that was contract costs for cap management. They only kept a handful of veterans and replaced others snd went out to UFA to target certain talent levels.I understand the logic of moving on at QB to a new person.
I also know Bellichek really want to prove he was the winner without Brady
maybe he felt as an outsider for not getting included in the Kraft “side sauce”

How does this Buffon keep his job? He is totally biased and gives Josh Allen snd the Bills no credit. Other broadcasters look at things objectively like Colin Coward and Brossard and give Josh and the Bills the credit they deserve. This guy just totally looks at all the negatives and no positives. I guess he does it to get attention as it certainly isn’t because of his sports analytics. He is a total POS. Unwatchable!!!!
Weekly thread at this point……

I know McDermott is not alone on this. I need to know why when say bills are leading, on defense, have timeouts to use l, end of game/half , he always use timeouts?! Like he’s going to get penalized if he doesn’t use them. I don't get the purpose. I’m sure someone here can advise but I assume it’s to see how the offense lines up?!
They keep stats for everything so I need to know % chance something good comes out of it. I actually have a running joke at home that the % chance immediately after he called timeout, the very next play is a TD or very least first down must be 90% lol. I can’t be alone feeling this way. Happened again yesterday end of half, I can think of at least 5 times this year alone that happened. Hell even if it’s a miracle type play. Chiefs game, where toney lined up Offside but would have been TD, after a timeout. To me I seen them get burned way to much in this. All it does is allows offense to get set, get together come up with exact play they want and discuss.
Petty? Maybe. Has to my least favorite thing about him. Do others have issues with this game in and game out?
Time outs common around key plays late in the game like on 4th downs is common.

You got it right.
With Davis and Dodson out we needed another WR and LB called up. Fournette wasn't needed as we had all our RBs healthy.
Johnson was hurt which is why Lenny activated

After watching morning coverage, I am astounded as to why everyone is putting the Ravens into the AFC Championship Game in pen as if it's a given. The explosive offense that Stroud provides along with a solid running game with our old friend Singletary should give the Ravens fits.
What say you? I think this game will be a close one and it would not surprise me in the least if the Texans won.
They played each other week 1 and was a blow out.
natural they think blow out again….

Harbaugh would make the Chargers instantly better, but so many negatives with this job.
1. ownership is brutal
2. same division as mahomes/reid, highly unlikely to win division regularly
3. salary cap situation short-term doesn't seem great
4. every home game is a neutral site game at best w visiting fans regularly overtaking it
On the last…fans love Harbaugh from Stanford and at SF. They will get a home crowd edge.

Tomlin deserves credit, imo.
This team, with a 3rd string QB, really had no business even getting near the playoffs. And they kept it pretty tight today after going down by 3 TD's, without their best player.
They were 9-2 in one score games. Most teams are around .500. Don’t be shocked if next year they drop back to 6-7 win season. Both CLEVELAND and Houston gained a couple games by having edges in one score games. Cleveland did theirs with probably worse QB situation than Pittsburgh.

What Taylor songs should they play?
back to December for their WR
you belong to me

you have good health at key positions you can have more success having White and Milano the full season Buffalo probably has top seed.
