  1. i live in Washington...know all about Tuell. He showed potential last year...what happens with Leach....He would have been someone to take a flyer on say 5th round or below. But now with Leach he will be watched and examined by many. A good year he shoots up into 2/3
  2. The slant/quick routes were done to counter QB pressure. If they are able to hold a pocket longer bigger plays and longer plays can develop.
  3. Seattle media is reporting (confirming) the Bills give up a 7th round pick which could turn into a 6th based on circumstances.
  4. Look at the jets receiving corps now?? Bills help that some.

  6. Just like with Roscoe P....Ashton was cut by the Jags....
  7. I agree as well......You cut players now they are ignored by most for PS considerations. A player you think is PS material could more likely pass through now than next week. Part of that is because those cut after week 4 also likely played quite a bit during preseason week 4 so teams have more game tape on some of these players to view and analyze. If they are some of the last cuts the teams will look more closely at the players cut.
  8. i would expect Buffalo in rounds 1-3 to be looking to draft: 1. Quarterback 2. Linebacker 3. Replacing positional player lost as UFAs (Buffalo have a few starters who could walk after this season)
  9. Jackson was likely to be traded in the last 2 weeks when it appeared Russell Wlson could adequatly perform at least in a back up role. They signed flynn for more money this offseason so he want going to get cut. Last year Jackson was a UFA...not sure if Buffalo talked with him but it was possible and believable. Jackson went to Seattle because his former OC in Minnesota (who was fired along with the head coach after 2010) went to Seattle. Jackson thought Seattle with them not signing Hasselback was his best option at QB given they had his OC so he knew the schemes.
  10. Parrish issue was he was an injury risk.....he could be brought back for league min and function as a slot receiver. Plaxico can play as a role receiver...redzone/short yardage plays. The other issue we had was not having a big receiver.
  11. I live in the Seattle area.....Tavares was liked but the team in looking back last season nd thought their weak link was at qb which is why they signed Flynn and the drafted Wilson...to ignite competition. Jacksn had one year in Minnesota where he was n a learning curve, injuries the next season, then 2 yrs with favre. He starts 14 games with Seattle where the finish strong. They got to 7-7 last year and in the playoff chance. Had an earlier loss to Atlanta they kicked a game winning FG as buzzer sounded they would have been 8-6 and on controlled their playoff fate. The team gelled midway through last season. Jackson isn't a character issue and he will be fine as a backup qb.
  12. Actually the reason we went to 3-4 was because of the coaching change..... This is where stats are incorrect. In 2009 the Defense played great...the problem was in the 4th quarter because the offense did squat the defense was on the field 45+ minuted per game thus they tired out. In 2009 in all but 3 of the loses the Bills were tied/led at the start of the 4th quarter...and in one game they were behind by 3 to the Saints. The opponents blew them out in the 4th quarter because the defense got tired. Had they kept the defense and Gailey just focused on the offense and kept Fewell they would have had a much bigger turn around last season if the injuries didnt happen.
  13. I live in Seattle....Jackson is a very capable backup QB that you can rely on in case of injury. He is a career backup QB who can start if necessary. Last season in seattle...He threw for around 3,000 yrds and around a rating of an 80. He started most of 2008.../then in 2009 he had gotten hurt and missed part of the season. Then in 2009 and 2010 in Minnesota was the Favre experiment. In 2011 Minnesota decided to draft a QB so Jackson was done in minnesota. He went to Seattle because the Offensive Coordinator Bevell from Minnesota was hired in Seattle after being fired along with Childress.
  14. flat out speed doesnt make you an NFL receiver.....if so then those running the 4x100 relay would be on football teams. The receivers need quickness and agility to get separation from the CBs who also run 4.3/4.4 speed.
  15. History lesson.....he was with the Vikings and started and performed adequately as a backup and sometime starter...like a Trent differ. He went to Seattle because Minnesota offensive coordinator went to Seattle when Carroll was hired. Jackson knew the offense that the OC brought. Seattle has had their version of johnson / flutie the last two seasons. This year one left as a UFA they went and drafted a qb and signed another whch made Jackson expendable. The issue with the fans had been had been the qb was the reason for failure this past season. From a PR standpoint they had to change at QB.
  16. DL 8 LB 7 DB 9 QB 3 RB/FB 5 WR 6 TE 2 OL 9 PS: S OL LB WR QB RB DT CB
  17. Its not 80....its 75 http://www.jetnation.com/2012/08/21/2012-nfl-cut-down-dates-and-roster-size-clarifying-misconceptions/ There are other sources I can link to for this. last year it was set at 80 because of the lockout and shorter preaseason.
  18. I think you are forgetting a QB---Matt Leinart...I wouldve signed him if i knew he was healthy for this season.
  19. Roster needs to move down to 75 on Monday. Who gets cut from Buffalo?? I believe 10 people get cut or go on the IR? Who do you think?
  20. I think he isw the type of player that tends to show up when it matters. Sometimes it hard if you dont know who messed up the play plan....did the receiver not run the routes correctly. Some plays the receiver does one rout if the defense is playing one way and another route if he sees something else....but it depends on if the QB and WR are seeing the same thing.
  21. This forecast is nuts..... Buffalo does have a legitimate shot at 11-5.....they go 5-4 over the first 9 games...then 6-1 to close...... You arent going to have such a top heavy results as espn is forecasting. You have the AFC North, AFC West, NFC-EAST-NFCSouth playing each other With A-N vs N-E and A-W vs N-S...these teams kill each other. Baltimore and pittsburgh have a much harder schedule this year than last year playing the weaker AFC South and NFC West...they lose at least 2 games over the course of their schedule where at best the division winner is only 10-6. With many teams they have them taking unreasonable steps back in results.....like the Rams, Redskins, and Bucs....there is more talent there for those results.
  22. Off my ipad I have the WGR app just like with 97 rock last year and pick up the feed during the regular season.
  23. NFL network will reair the game on Monday afternoon i think at 4pm ET
  24. You really need to include the TEs and RB into this mix. I think they keep 5 WR and 2 TE, 3 RB and 3 wild cards..... Im not sure who has PS eligiability for those not rookies. WR Johson, Graham, Jones, Nelson, the battle is between Roosevelt (strong special teams) and Hagan Brad Smith will officially go under as the third QB even though he also plays WRs I think Dickenson makes the team as a FB/HB/TE and they also keep McIntyre because of special teams. They keep one TE behind Chandler with Caussins on the PuP list. For pratices squad I think they will try to put Easily there...I have seen comflicting info on his eligability because of him being on the IR last year as reported. Legally he cant go on the IR because his heart issue was not injury/NFL related they may have said IR but leagally it was on something else such as a non football injury list. Remember....Smith and Spiller can play in a 4 or 5 WR set as can Dickerson (HB/FB/TE). Them keeping 6 depends on if they value having 5 or 6 cornerbacks on the roster. The 6th slot becomes open for comparison for the last roster spots with other positions. Roosevelt could be cut because there is a good likelihood he could stay local and come back to play after injury instead of pulling from the PS. Same thing with Ruvell Martin. He could be cut but likly not getting anywhere so Buffalo could call him if injuries happen.
  25. Lets use a fair measuring stick....what about other teams 2010 draft? You also cant discount free agents signed from the 2010 draft pool either? Troupe will forever be cast a shadow over no matter what since picked right after him was some local kid...
