thank god for the new rookie pay scale. remember how much the Rams had to pay to sign Bradford? being the first QB off the board, Manuel could have demanded some serious money if this was a few years ago

Oh how the tables have turned. This time last year I think everyone would have said FRED was the best and Spiller was a bust. Let's see if CJ can duplicate last year's success before we annoint him the savior.

Jim autographed my jersey in 1991 I think and now the marker has faded away so I wear it again haha. That jersey + zubaz pants = winningNice, but it would be nice to have one to wear that wasn't autographed

of all of the bad habits out there, I can't believe people still chew tobacco. that stuff is bad news. best case - your teeth and gums are going to be all jacked up and you are going to look homeless. and I think we all know worst case. if anyone here chews take a second to consider not only how bad it will affect you, but the ones you care about as well. I don't want to sound like an after school special but maybe seeing this happen to a superman like Jim will stop at least one Bills fan from chewing. again, we don't know all of the facts but it's a good lesson learn either way. best wishes to Jim. he was my hero as a kid so get well soon!

Hopefully day 1 the financial advisors showed him how to put a condom on. As for the financial planning, I really hope he can stick with it and shows guys how to be smart with their money. I hate seeing these players sign $40 million contracts and a few years after retiring are completely broke. I get it, they are poor their whole lives and then overnight they get ridiculous money that we could only dream of and they don't know how to handle it. Maybe he can help start a new trend and show these young guys the right way to do things.
Personally, I think the NFLPA should invoke a mandatory retirement plan for all players where 10-20% of your contract gets diverted into a 401k acct that the players can't touch for a certain number of years after retiring and then it pays it out in small portions like a paycheck. That would help solve a lot of these issues and help mend the bad stigma of the broke athletes that the NFL wants to distance itself from

. The only position worth tanking for is QB, All the others can be found elsewhere.this might come as a shocker but we are going to tank regardless. i don't see any sure thing wins on this schedule. might as well get a future pro bowler out of it. plus, he's not a sure thing #1 pick imo. Teams at the top always want a QB and there are a couple of good ones in this coming draft

if it's really that simple then there is no reason for EJ not to start week 1. sounds like only thing holding him back will be his footwork and decision making

oh please, i love how everyone is always so down on the Pats before the season starts then they jump on their bandwagon once they start dominating yet again. losing Welker hurts but if you think Miami is going to have a better passing attack then NE then you are crazy. I don't care how their receivers look on paper, you have to be able to get them the ball. and Miami has to have good receivers because they don't have a RB. Meanwhile, we have the 2 best but you saw how far that got us the past few years. You don't see us bragging in the tabloids about it

if anything he's definitely giving us 100%. they were talking about how hard of a worker he is on the John Murphy show. glad to see a rookie that doesn't think he's entitled now that he's "made it" and is willing to put in the work to get better
