The reviews on Nassib are all over the place. Some guys have him as the 4th or 5th best in this draft and then Cosell has him #1. I don't think anyone knows what they are talking about

backup QB is the best job in sports. think about it...you make millions of dollars for doing nothing, there's not a lot expected of you so when you go into the game and do good you are a hero, you don't have the pressure and scrutiny that the starter has to deal with, and you can retire healthy and without brain damage from numerous concussions. sign me up for that!

lol clearly he meant niagara county but sure north carolina can pay for it too if they want. it's like Western NY Jr down there. i went out in charlotte with a friend of a friend and i met like 10 people from Buffalo or Rochester, no joke, and I know of plenty from around here that live in the "Triangle" area now as well. what was so great about NC that you guys all flocked down there? i've only been once but I sure couldn't figure it out

That's what they want you to think. The truth is Brandon has been running things for years IMO. Their big press conference announcing him now running things was just a marketing ploy. He's been in charge for years and running this team into the ground. I think the Fitz contract was his doing and what a mistake that was

How about right ON Niagara Falls? Have one side of the stadium be glass like in Dallas and out the windows you see the falls. We would get a Super Bowl for sure with something like that

Well said. But I disagree with the "hate on Losman" part. I never understood that mentality either. He didn't draft himself in the first round, and it is entirely possible that the Bills ruined his career. Hate on the people responsible for drafting him in the first then ruining him (if indeed they did).
You don't remember how cocky he was then. Didn't you see the special on ESPN where Losman said HE WAS THE BEST QB IN THE DRAFT? He specifically said he was better than the likes of Eli Manning, Ben Rothlesberger, among others (Phillip Rivers, Matt Schaub, etc). The hate for Losman is still strong and for good reason

Fitz is regarded as the best QB free agent there is. He will have no problems finding a solid backup job. He is a streaky player so he would probably make a great backup like a Frank Reich. Good in stretches but not a starting QB talent

I agreed with you until you said that. There's no way Geno AND Barkley make it out of the top 10. The Cards have already stated they are high on Barkley too. I hope they get him, I don't want himand Barkley is also a guy you can trade back into the first rd to get while holding onto the 8th pick,,,,

wow this could have gone really bad for either GM. luckily neither of them retorted to smack talking any of their players. Nix said Fitz is making too much if he ends up being a backup, which is fair. He could have easily said the guy was a joke and signing him was the biggest mistake of his life. whoever did this prank is going to wish they didn't post it online. it's a federal crime and the fbi will probably be on their way to their house soon

there is absolutely no way the Bills don't take a QB day 1. fans would go nuts. Nix is desperate and everyone knows that. If this was like poker then unfortunately he has shown his hand. If their guys are gone at 8 I wouldn't be surprised to see something like what the Broncos did to get Tebow where we trade away our whole draft to go after someone late in the 1st

We had some qb's with good athleticism and arm strength and that didn't turn out too well for us. But id be fine with Geno. Please not Barkley though. I hope the rumors are true and Arizona takes him

If true, another takeaway is that Buddy is now willing to trade picks for a QB. This from someone who was adamant about not giving up high picks to move around on draft day in years past. Last year it was breaking the bank on UFA and now it could be trading draft picks.
Nix has not traded a high (1st-3rd) pick for anything during his tenure as GM. I guess they're getting desperate.
Exactly. Nix is DESPERATE to get a QB. Typically when you are desperate like that you end up reaching. There's nothing scarier to fans than a GM that is desperate and has nothing to lose

All signs point to the bills not thinking Levitre is worth the kind of cash he's looking for. Marrone is an O-Line guru so they are probably thinking he can coach up who we have or pick up someone in the later rounds of the draft

some of you still don't get it. the "mock draft" and "player rankings" that go on before the draft don't apply to QB's. if a team needs a QB they are going to get their guy. doesn't matter where he is projected. if Marrone thinks Nassib (or Geno or whoever) is his guy do you really think he's not going to take him because some clown at ESPN says he's a 2nd or 3rd round talent and risk not being able to get him at all? as we have seen for the last 15 yrs of this franchise, a coach's job depends on having a solid QB

He's from a D3 school in the liberty league, (RPI) Competition includes Hobart, Rochester, and the Merchant Marine Academy. Several Texas/Florida high schools could run the table in this conference.

Now, back to his measurables... 6'5" 254 lbs, 4.74 40 yd dash... There's limited film on him, but here's a game Vs. another bum school. Note time indexes .48, .59, 1.04, 2.08, 3.30, 3.50

I say he's worth a TC invite as a long-term QB project... The NFL may agree.
FYI, RPI (Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute) is a tech school in Troy (NW burb of Albany) New York. I still consider Hermann a local prospect.
I thought he was the first QB in that link and I was like ehhh but then I saw the big guy for the white team and I was like woah is that Big Ben at Miami of Ohio? How does a guy with that kind of size and arm strength end up at D3? I didn't even know RPI had a football team until I saw this thread. As an RIT graduate I have to say I'm a little jealous now to know that. We had a D1 hockey team but no football

I think Arizona is the only one that would go QB in the 1st. Those other teams know there will be QB's available at the top of the 2nd. Hopefully Cassel really does go to Arizona. At that point I think if we want Geno then he will be there

i havent heard anything official on that, beyond his camp which of course is going to say hes healthy until proven otherwise. any further info come out?
I'm just guessing based on the report a few posts up. I'm sure they will get about 10 other doctor opinions over the next month or so to be sure

He probably means the 3 that ended up being below average starters for us for a couple of years before we dumped them in the trash heap where they belong
You forgot to mention how Washington got not 1 but possibly 2 franchise QB's in last year's draft! And like you said, we haven't even had 1 guy since Jimbo (who at first didn't even want to playfor us)
