Hoyer and Fitz might be the same person. Has anyone seen them at the same place at the same time before? My theory is Hoyer puts on a wig and a beard and transforms into Fitz-magic
-
Maybe Gailey wil add CJ and Fred too and they will party like it's 2010
-
Cutting Fred...giving him a just farewell?
that would be the classy thing to do if they are going to do it
-
That's true. It's not "official" until tomorrowcan only be about hughes.
mccoy and cassell are not official til after tues 4pm.
-
Hughes and McCoy. McCoy was at Chophouse last night
-
you asked him?No he wouldn't.
-
Why not ask him to take a pay cut? He would play for FREE!
-
I think we need a big physical receiver but that could come in the form of an athletic tight end
-
Next year's second plus Tuel.
And throw in EJ too
-
Omg could you imagine him in Philly in that offense? That would be fun to watch but I would rather him come here
-
they need a RB. let's give them our leading rusher from a year agoSo what is the asking price?
I get the feeling that the 49'ers are not looking for just draft picks.
-
Hurry who has Whaley's number? Wake him up if he is sleeping!
I'm sure Roman has the inside knowledge on this one. Lots of friends still in SF. Make it happen!
-
Ran one of the best coaches in the league out of town and traded or failed to signed all.of their talent. Oh how the mighty have fallenWow! Looks like the 49er's are starting over.
-
Kap's contract is relatively cheap too. It's very incentive based and has the option to cut him before April 1 of any year and not have to pay his upcoming salary.
-
Kiko for Kap might have been a good play ....................
I would have endorsed this

Fred has always been written off. That's nothing new. It's the story of his life. But if given the chance not only would he have been the #2 guy on the team but I bet he would have had almost as many carries as everyone's new favorite RB. It happens every year. He shouldn't be able to, but the guy defies all things and has been the heart and soul of this team for the past almost decade.
This is terrible and I can understand why they would do it. If you look at this on paper then it makes sense. But you can't look at Fred on paper because nothing he has done should have been possible. This is where analytics fail. There's things inside a man that you can't measure: heart, desire, determination, passion, leadership, and the ability to make plays when there is no play to be had.
They are making a mistake if they release him. My hope is that someone gives him a chance, whether it's us or another team. A chance is the only thing Fred has ever needed in order to prove everyone wrong. I've been a Bills fan my whole life but I would openly root for Fred on whatever team he is on. He deserves better from us. He deserves a chance

Ready to celebrate the Hughes signing. F5 F5 F5 F5...
-
lolThere already is one...its called a Payday....
I'm sure his agent leaked it as a way to let all of the teams know what they have to beatKinda frustrating that this is being leaked at this point.

Great post. Some day Fred's run will end, and that will be a sad day in Buffalo.
Should be after this year when his contract is up. One last hurrah
-
This has been the most up and down offseason in our team's history. It's like a rollercoaster of emotions. The Bills are certainly a team to talk about now
-
Good post. Totally agreeA lot of inside sources seem to agree that Freddy's leaving is fait accompli. If so, I'm genuinely disappointed to hear this. Freddy is not just a quality vet who always gets the critical extra yard, block or catch, he's also the heart and soul of the team. The consummate pro whose work ethic, attitude, leadership and credibility is necessary for every successful team. He's so much more valuable than a free agent special teams contributor, or a never-has-been stiff like Bryce Brown, who showed no heart and failed miserably trying to replace injured Freddy last season.
The impact of losing Freddy cannot be measured in statistics or dollars. It would be a damn shame for this young, talented team starved for leadership, and the fans of Buffalo who love him, to have this happen now.
I wonder if they are trying to avoid friction between McCoy and Fred. They had some beef on twitter last year. And Fred is the leader of this team and McCoy is a diva. That might be part of it
-
Fred knows how to hit holes and get extra yards after contact. Guys like that don't need to rely on speed. Thats how hes still successful at his age. He's also a great blocker and of course the leader of the team. He's a bargain at $2 mil
-
After that McCoy holdout, right?
No after they find out he is only good for 15 carries a game and they need someone else to carry it 20. They will split time
-
They better not cut Fred. He will end up being the starter like he does every year

Glad he's gone but I'm sure he is doing just fine with his $4 million. If anyone wants me to give me $4 million to quit my job I'll do it
