that would have been interesting haha
-
well we paid TJ $2 mil to be a 3rd stringer that doesn't even dress for games, so if we could get Fitz for that kind of money then why not right
-
The coaching move is fine but the hiring of non experienced coaches and coordinators from a mid level college team and other friends from around the league is a little disheartening
-
True that we don't know all the facts yet, but this whole thing is failing the smell test and that's what's got everyone talking.
Te'o and his family saying or implying that he had actually met this girl at some point, the apparent hoaxster behind the Twitter accounts being a friend of Te'o - these are really not working to his favor. I'd love it if he was completely innocent, but like I said - it is starting to smell bad.....
Where did he say he met her? Would love to see a quote from his mouth saying he met up with her. I have a feeling it's heresay. Someone thought he was seeing her but they just didn't know and were talking out their butt. So much conflicting information out there in the media.
And even if he did meet her, is it possible he thought he was talking to her online but it was actually someone pretending to be her? That guy from the Cards says this girl did exist. Someone could have made a fake profile saying this is (whatever her name is) and he believed it.
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Having seen that tv show Catfish, it's obvious there are some really naive people out there that are easily duped like this. I find it hard to believe that someone so devout and someone who has done the right thing his whole life is going to go off the deep end and make something like this up
-
You guys are too quick to judge. This is a guy that has done everything right his whole life. He's an amazing leader, family oriented, devoutly religious, and an all around good guy. All signs point to a naive and trusting human being with a big heart being the target of a cruel scam. Why is it that the good guys like Te'o and Tebow get crapped on? It's sad
-
i didn't read all 22 pages but c'mon, this happens a lot these days. that movie "catfish" and the tv show by that same name on mtv shows how this happens all of the time. the guy has a big heart, he was an easy target. i definitely believe him. he was talking to someone. and if it's like that show then it's probably a 400 pound whale who can't get guys to talk to her otherwise. i feel really bad for the guy. this has to be super embarrassing for him to admit he was the victim of such an elaborate hoax, not to mention the tears he probably shed thinking his online gf that he talked to every single day had died. i don't see how this can be held against him. a dumb/naive jock getting taken advantage of...is it really that far fetched?

I'd take Nassib *IF* he falls to us in round 2. But I have a feeling there will be an unexpected run on QB's in round 1 even though they are not projected to be taken that high. It's the most important position on the field so the teams that need one are going to reach for one with their first pick
-
i'm not a fan of the hires but i won't sit here and b*tch about it. but to those of you saying "yaaay we have the youngest coaches in the league!" uhhh usually that means inexperienced and unproven. that's not a good thing. he's handing out jobs to his buddies regardless of whether or not they are qualified. let's see how this plays out. I don't have high hopes. i think we will be back to trying to hire more proven candidates next time. but will we get those big names to even be interested in this job after a few more seasons of losing football?
-
He should just go to the CFL and prove what he can do and in a few years he can come back if he is successful. That's what Flutie did and he was like a god up there. Then he came back to the NFL and got his own cereal and did a drop kick extra point

There's no sure thing in this draft so everyone is a reach no matter where they get drafted IMO. Look at Cousins for Washington. 4th rd pick last year but there's a lot of talk about offering a 1st rd pick for him in a trade. If they spent a 1st on him to get him that would have been considered a reach but now he's worth a 1st apparently so it's all relative. I don't think there's such a thing as reaching for a franchise qb. You get the guy you want to get
-
I think it would be a her walking by in slow motion in a bikini with miss alabama sash on and musburger is staring like a creep and he's like WOW so gorgeous and then he goes up to her and shoves her out of the way and there's a (insert whatever product) behind her and then he hugs it
-
He told reporters that if he was 6'5" he would be the top player in the draft. From the sounds of it I'm guessing he consulted with some draft experts and they told him nobody wants a 6 ft tall qb so that's going to hurt his draft stock. He probably got butt hurt and decided to go back to school instead.

So...three straight years of no more than 6 wins and we are on the cusp? A head coach that looked like a deer in the headlights and never ONCE reacted to a questionable penalty call was the direction we should have kept traveling? Wow. "In Chan We Trust" taken to a new level. I am guessing you both think Fitz was "on the verge" of breaking out as well...
No I actually named the changes they needed if you read. Lovie was a much safer choice and paired with a quality OC we could have grabbed a veteran qb and been in the playoffs next year, rather than starting over from scratch with a bunch of first time coaches and a rookie qb
-
I think they will most definitely over-draft a qb. Nix has already said he is going to get a qb and he is desperate. They are going to get one and my guess is they reach for one with their first or second pick. Look at what Denver did to get Tebow a few years back. Teams go coo coo for quarterbacks
-
The OC hiring will make more sense if they get Nassib and plan to make him the future franchise QB. I can't think of a better transition for a rookie QB into the NFL than having your college head coach and offensive coordinator there with you and running the same offense you already know
-
Wow so Glennon is the 1st QB and he's all the way at 22? I can't remember a draft in the past where the QB's were ranked so low. Figures, it's the year we are drafting one too
-
IMO, a time to have some valid sense of excitement and hope for the first time in years.
I will give them this: We have the most exciting team in the NFL so far this offseason. We have been getting a lot of attention around the league and grabbing headlines. But does any of this translate into wins? I guess we will see
-
Team's have been reaching for QB's the last few years. Look at Tannehill last year. Supposed to be 2nd or 3rd rd and ends up going #7 to Miami. Ended up working out well for them too. I wouldn't be surprised if we go for him at 8, but knowing that we are using our 1st on him I would hope they will do everything they can to trade back a few picks and maybe pick up another pick and still get our guy regardless
-
I don't think we needed to rebuild. We were on the cusp of being a playoff team. Better QB play and better LB's and better play calling (more CJ!) and we could have been a wildcard team this year IMO. I don't agree with any of the moves they have made so far. I feel like we are starting over from scratch with this new coaching staff. I would have been much more conservative and hired Lovie, a proven OC, and traded for a veteran QB and I think we would have made the playoffs next year. Instead we are looking at yet another "rebuilding year" and a team that might be good 3 yrs or so down the line or might be back to square one again, especially if we end up starting a rookie QB. It's anybody's guess. We'll see!
-
I have a feeling we are going to pick him at number 8 and that is REALLY reaching. All signs pointing to it. I might suggest trading our pick for another team's first and 2nd and falling back a few spots in the 1st
-
They should call it Tecmo Super Bowl view
-
Back to 3-4 with a team built for 4-3. Great
-
This just in...the Bills are joining the ACC and playing their home games at the Carrier Dome. The bad news is we open the season as underdogs vs Duke

You didn't hear? Everything on the interwebz is true. If you believe that, kbiggz, I've got some oceanfront property in Montana to sell you
Believe it yet?

I'm with you. Every year there is a run on QB's. Guys that are supposed to be 2nd rounders get taken in the top 10. Teams always reach for a QB if they think that is the guy they want
