Just seems like the timing of this and the delay in the Clay deal aren't coincidental...plus this would be the 3rd Bills-Eagles trade in under a year's time.

since he decided to visit Cleveland, bills don't want to share their offer yet in case browns just top it? Wait for browns to blink first?
they probably want Clay to decide which team he would rather be on regardless of money. the offers will probably be similar. he saw what we have to offer as an up and coming team, now he's going to go to Cleveland and see how much of a mess that organization is and he will come crawling back to talk terms with us

I would like to make a bet with you. Can be a signature bet, can be a donation to charity bet but you are extremely wrong on this imo. Just like you were wrong about Kiko and Murray for the same price as Shady. Murray signed a deal for more money even though it was slightly less guaranteed. Add in that he is injury prone, older, and they owe dead for money for Shady this didn't turn out quite as great for the Eagles as you thought.
Other things I am willing to bet on:
Murray doesn't play all 16 games next year
Bradford not only is on the roster for the Eagles but (barring injury) is named the starter
Murray is "older" as in 5 months aka they are the same age. He also has 600 less touches than McCoy but that's besides the point. We don't know his contract yet. You can't go by average per as the total value because contracts in the NFL aren't guaranteed so the Eagles might be able to get out of it in 3 yrs for example for cheaper than McCoy's 5 yr deal, we don't know yet. But i do think everyone is shocked to hear how expensive this deal seems to be. Dallas was only going to offer $6M per as per reports.
I also agree Murray won't play all 16 games. most RB's in the NFL don't. McCoy won't either if they plan to hand him the ball 25+ times a game.
There's no way Chip wants Bradford to be his QB. People were snickering at the press conference at Chip trying to lie about it. He might get stuck with him but it won't be for lack of trying

I'm actually thinking that WR will be the play at 50 if they sign another OL and miss out on Harvin. They went after Marshall and Harvin so clearly they do not feel set at the position. I would think that a big bodied guy like Strong or DGB could be the guy? JMO
I think DGB is going to be a star in this league. the guy is a physical freak

Makes you wonder what's wrong with Murray if so many teams aren't willing to pony up much money for him. Besides the injury, fumble, and great year in a contract year issues that is.
i think you summed it up. but also, nobody pays that much for RB's in free agency. we have McCoy on our team now because Chip knew that. Murray will still end up with the biggest FA RB deal though

don't feel bad for Scott. apparently he made some $17 million over the course of his career so he will be just fine even if he doesn't get picked up (he probably will). i wish i was 6'7"!!!

Tampa would be stupid to trade for him. They are in rebuilding mode. The Bills are a team that's a QB away from being a Super Bowl contender so it would make sense for us IMO. Offer our 1st next yr (knowing that it won't be top 30 anyhow)
