Glenwood Ave in Raleigh is a good place to go. Not much in Durham - the old DAP (about 10 blocks north of the new stadium). See if you can get into the chapel at Duke and Cameron Indoor (you'll be amazed at how small it is). Franklin Ave in Chapel Hill is good for a cruise.
Plenty of regional and different places to eat at all 3.
I miss Raleigh this time of the year. 1 hour south - Pinehurst.
If you have a specific area that is tight (hamstring, back, shoulder) you need to point that out so that it can be attended to properly. Otherwise, it is a good form of therapy and relaxation.
Ditto on the water, no alcohol. And lots of it.
I was probably within arms reach of Elin at the Tavistock Cup (Isleworth vs Lake Nona club championship) last year. Even though she did not stand out within in the spectators (attire, jewelry, etc) she was very striking. Was very pleasant when I asked her a couple of questions.
Blinco's re-opened recently in a new location after being closed for about a year (lease dispute). Owner (Jim Blinco) is from the Lew-Port area and always has a big turnout / gathering when some team from WNY is in town. Anything on their menu is very good. New location is within 6 miles of the arena. Can't speak for Buffalo Bros. as it opened after I left.
Hope you all have a great time. RBC is a great new arena. There will be plenty of WNY ex-pats there. Don't forget to check out Blinco's.
(Moved from there 3 yrs ago - sigh)
I don't care if the game take too long, just as long as they are called correctly. Ed Hoculi, in my opinion, has one of the best run crews in the NFL.
NFL officials are held accountable for every play in every game. Each game is reviewed by league officals and data is supplied to the crew to help them get better. Playoff and Super Bowl assignments are based from those weekly reviews.
When I was at RIT there was a photo of the skyline at dusk from an elevated viewpoint just after a storm had passed through. I wish I had that. I have a skyline photo of every city that I lived in up in my office except Rochester.
RW: Hey Mike, this is Ralph. I have an idea for a play on the next 3rd and 8.
MM: Hello? [scratch, ruffle, screetch] Is someone there? [eeerck, zzzipttz, mmpth] We have a bad connection. Drop off this line.
My point exactly. Just think of how much money the NFL could have made for charity (Katrina, NFL YET, United Way, NFL Alumni, anything) from picture reprints of that photo op. Potentially once in a lifetime chance.
Why does money seem to always get in the way? Couldn't these two players do it "for the game"? Jeez, $1000 fee, 2 1st class air tickets, hotel, car, 2 tickets to the game, plus other perks, plus other $$$ making opp'ty seem like enough.
One would think that you could put a proximity sensor in the ends of the ball with some type of receiver that runs along the goal line to determine "cross or no cross"?
