  1. I don't think that they don't care, I think that they are over it, and their current actions aren't aimed at recovering from it, but moving past it. So I think we mostly agree, but they aren't dwelling on it. As stated in the Graham interview, they look at this as a distraction that they are just trying to get out of the way so the Coach and the players can be the face of the organization. You don't grant these types of interviews too often. Why today? Terry Pegula: I guess there's been a perception we're inaccessible. But I've been consistent from Day One when I bought the Sabres and then with the Bills, by owning these teams it's about the players and coaches. We didn't buy teams to be visible in the media. We bought teams to keep them in the area and to flourish with them. I let the coaches and the players be out front and be the story. Kim Pegula: We want to make sure that the new coach coming in will be the voice of our organization and make sure we're all looking forward. So we wanted to get a lot of these questions out of the way if need be.
  2. He clearly meant you need two things to win, you need the players, and you need to actually win the games. I think we can all identify that part of the reason we didn't make the playoffs was because in 2014 and 2015 we failed to win games that we should have. You'd think that Bills fans would like the fact that the GM is saying "we don't only need to set ourselves up to succeed with the talent, but we need to execute and actually win too, and only then will we be a winning franchise." But nope, we regress to shallow potshots. How are they definitely not? I guarantee that they do not look at this as a roadblock to the success of the franchise, and more as an annoying distraction that they would have rather went right, but they will move past it just fine. Terry Pegula's comments reflect that, and Kim Pegula's comments support that they wish that it would have went better but they are moving past it.
  3. Just saying, the first 2 pages of this post were pretty ridiculous. Talking about propaganda and damage control by providing a pretty standard interview about the new coach and key players - and one they have done before with many previous coaches and GMs. It is standard stuff. The Bills org is completely over the press conference and moved on, but people can't just let it go. They have to rave on and on about it even though Whaley nailing the press conference doesn't make this football team better one bit.
  4. Oh look: A Doug Whaley 1on1 after the Rex Ryan hire. Damage control after the Marrone desertion!!!! http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Bills-Focus-GM-Doug-Whaley-1-on-1/def35ea4-ca7e-48a9-bbda-85668733ff00 You guys are being pretty silly at this point for routine interviews and videos by the Bills in house media. Edit: Oh look: A Sean McDermott 1on1 in the same format!!! What are the Bills doing? How dare they??? #wherearetherealreportersthebillsneverdoinhouseinterviewswithplayersandcoaches #dysfunction http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Watch-Sean-McDermott-1-on-1/937e9bdb-ec88-41a4-b54b-a44250b98fb0
  5. What is all this about propaganda? And damage control? The interview was asking Whaley about the new coach, why he hired him, what he thinks of him, Tyrod's future etc. Geez people, you need to get over this obsession with a damn press conference that has zero effect on the football team.
  6. Are we just talking about the first 6-7 weeks? I thought he was mostly great in the 2nd half of the season.
  7. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/opinion/the-conversation/sd-teams-trolling-the-chargers-20170112-htmlstory.html This is freaking hilarious.
  8. Yeah, the only thing Denver has on us at QB is Lynch might be a better prospect than Cardale. Siemian will not make our offense better than Tyrod would.
  9. Another thread, another disappearance of the OP. This is trolling guys. What happened to Lynn being set in stone? That we weren't going to give any other candidates an opportunity? The whole coaching search is a facade right? Oh yeah, it's on to the next narrative to belittle and mock the organization.
  10. Every year? So 17 years or 2-3 full years? (Two of which we contested for the playoffs)
  11. Yeah, I am sure that Denver offense is super intriguing to McCoy.
  12. Man that was depressing to read. Maybe they will reject the move. It sounds like they don't even want them to move.
  13. It is solely because of the Pegula's that they are in Buffalo and will remain in Buffalo for the next few decades at least. 3 teams are likely moving in this time. THREE! Buffalo would surely have been one if anyone else had bought them. But besides that, they decided that they love the area so much that they are going to invest deep into it and try to improve the area. So they are to be thanked on so many different levels. But yeah, they didn't win the Superbowl in 2-3 years so them right.
  14. Very interesting. McDermott was rumored to want McCoy from the start. What's the connection that he would sway him over?
  15. Is McCoy a done deal in Denver or not? I keep hearing both.
  16. How would the schedule work? Wouldn't someone still get the "easy" games?
  17. Well yeah, they won't win that battle until they make this a winning franchise, but that doesn't mean the media didn't act like jackasses.
  18. Someone should put together all the low blows the media put on them that were simply uncalled for, up to and including calling them bozos, and hanging a 17 year drought on them in year 2 of their ownership.
  19. Maybe, but even then, she is saying the opposite of what the person I quoted said.
  20. It does hurt, but it's our job as owners to make sure that decisions are not made on knee-jerk opinions or partial information or one instance You think this was talking about Whaley? The consideration of firing him? You really think she was saying that? Come on.
  21. I don't think that's true. I believe she is directly referring to the decision to fire Rex at that point, and that it wasn't a knee jerk reaction, that Terry Pegula looked at his whole body of work throughout the year and past conversations.
  22. Good. They directly insulted him. I believe the term "bozo" was used somewhere.
  23. I think he held out hope since he bought land in San Diego County just 6 months ago. Only a 1.5-2 hour drive but still. http://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/hot-property/la-fi-hotprop-philip-rivers-rancho-santa-fe-20160617-snap-story.html
  24. Norv Turner is rumored to be a candidate? I think I like that. Especially if we make a big splash on the QB market.
