Who determines “honesty”? The Federal Ministry of Truth? Is there due process? Can you appeal? What would this Ministry of Truth look like under the Obama Administration? But moving on, we aren’t talking about “news” right now. We’re talking about an OpEd published by Slate in which the author states her opinion. Should this be censored?

So, to be clear, you not only want to criminalize misreporting; but also simply the holding of opinions you deem to be “improper”. Do I have you correctly here? You’re advocating the implementation of thought crime?

This is something different though. This isn’t a “news piece” which is actually a fictional accounting designed to drive a narrative; which is where we have traditionally disagreed. This is an opinion piece. Are you now saying you wish to criminalize or censor opinion pieces you disagree with?

It’s an opinion, Joe; albeit a bad one. This doesn’t even touch on criminality. Are you now prepared to argue that opinions you disagree with should be censored?

This is the proper response. The skepticism should hinge on whether or not US Military Intelligence recruited (and thereby vetted) President Trump.

This is half true as it implies standard expectations and demands placed on the immigrant communities, access to social services and safety net, and the structural costs placed on the welcoming communities. Imigrants used to come here because the wished to become American, and America expected assimilation of culture, and language; and they shared in western values. It’s incredibly disingenuous to imply otherwise.

As Tom said, you aren’t a serious person. You have ideas about the political landscape you cannot explain, and beliefs which you cannot defend. That would be problematic to a serious person, yet here we are.

The “I’m rubber, you’re glue” defense. Impressive. Tell me what you believe has happed, what is currently happening, and what will happen. Provide evidence.

This answer, in and of itself, is bigoted and hateful. He plainly states he’s putting on “black face” in order to enact a caricature of how he views conservatives, projecting tons of negative stereotypes into them. And he finds nothing wrong or ironic in this.

I don’t believe a coup attempt would be tried in civilian court. It‘s obstensively an act of war, especially when coordinated with foreign nations. They‘re going to get military tribunals.

Correct. It invalidates the entire system intentionally, allowing the gilded class to choose monarchs from amongst themselves instead of reporting to democratic republican norms; and undoing the entire liberal premise of self-determination: the concept on which just government and human freedom exist.

This is an untenable position for which I have already provided a thread documenting not only electoral meddling, but an actual coup attempt after their meddling failed to produce the result they desired. Please demonstrate that you're an intellectually honest participant by hashing through (there's a lot of material, but then you wanted evidence, and evidence of this sort of thing would have to be massive in scope in order to flesh out the trail).
