It could certainly adversely impact the mental and emotional health of the mother; and besides, if it’s the mothers prerogative why does it matter? It opens the door for positive eugenics. Once we have located genetic predispositions we could eliminate homosexuals and transgenders, and even people predisposed towards liberalism. We could elect to abort babies because they might be of a less desirable sex.

Because what any sane person with an eye for history wants is a socialist revolution in their country. How many more bodies does the world really need to throw onto this pile?

You worked with the macro assumption of a single large pie. I’m a micro guy, and further, believe a moral argument requires the understanding that there is no one large single pie, but rather the existence of millions of smaller pies with massive disparity in size.

My only issue with this analogy is it’s base assumption of the aggregation of pie. (though it’s a massive issue)

Your argument is no different than someone who wants to take money from corporations to pay for nationalized healthcare, or free college. It's still the assertion that government owns everything, and is just in restricting private wealth towards your preferred ends. You legitimize them.

Welfare recipients get other people's money redistributed to them; where as corporations get less of their money redistributed to other people. Your argument is built on the foundation that the government owns everything, which is an argument for socialism. The government is not entitled to Amazon's earnings, regardless of how they wish to repurpose them.

That's... That's not how accounting works... The state of New York was not going to be giving Amazon $3 billion dollars to come in. They were going to give Amazon $3 billion in tax credits, which would have been a break on their tax bill, but still a net gain in corporate taxes paid in addition to the 25 thousand jobs averaging 6 figures or more. Now New York has nothing. No tax receipts, no jobs, and still hold on to their crumbling infrastructure. They do not have 3b in assets they can allocate elsewhere. This woman is a ***** moron.
