  1. I can't tell if you guys are being funny or not. The clear reason Sammy played in the season finale was because Doug Whaley's boy EJ was playing and Doug didn't want to deprive him of any weapons when he went out there. It was EJ's time to shine and Doug was doing everything in his power to make that happen.
  2. Beat the teams on your schedule. In our last 5 meetings with the Jags, we're 3-2. Don't give me that jazz.
  3. Your defense has to be exceptionally bad to be bad with Brees at QB. Which it is. Our D is not as bad. TT needs a top 3 defense. Brees needs average at best. One of those is easy to do. Rebuilding for 2018 would be basically shedding some older guys like Kyle, and attempting to draft a QB high in 2018 like Darnold to win with a similar crew we have now in 2018, with 2 years of draft picks and salary cap maneuvers that are a little less short term than win now.
  4. That Denver team won the Super Bowl next year. What are you even talking about bro. 43-27. That's all that needs to be said. I wish we had a QB who barfed it up to that record. Who made it to the AFCCG by 26. I don't know what mantra you're referring to besides the W-L column.
  5. Yeah yeah and CJ Spiller is gonna be great, forgive me for taking your opinion with a boulder of salt.
  6. Career record 43-27. Matt Hasselback's is 85-75. He is good. As far as Luck is concerned he had one injury filled year and one down year. Still went 11-5 3 years in a row, still made the postseason 3 times and beat some good teams there. That's just the facts.
  7. It's his brain yes, but his brain in that sense that he thinks he can make throws he can't. He thinks he can gun the ball in there and can't. With more arm strength, he could lower those mistakes by actually making some of the throws. Agree on the leadership part, which is where the Favre comp comes in.
  8. The answer is clear, to me at least. This was never Rex's team. Ever. You saw it over the last 2 years, the defense never rallied around him like some of those Jets teams did. They rolled over and died a lot. They took shots at him through the media a lot. I think Rex knew he didn't have the locker room's support and ended it.
  9. I get what you're saying, no doubt. Cutty is still a whole different animal from Fitz. In fact, you put Fitz's brain in Cutty's body and you have the next Brett Favre, IMO. Cutty's biggest problem is, as you said, mental. But I don't know how comfortable he's been made in Chicago these last few years. It's been regime change and lifelessness for the last 3-4 years and that weighs on somebody like him a lot more than a natural leader rah-rah type. He's done in Chicago (and has been for 3 years honestly) and i think you see that seep out on gameday. There's not a lot of guys out there with his arm talent waiting around to sign somewhere. If I put together a mental list of QB's I could say, "Hey that guy with a change of scenery, new team, new WR's, anything could really happen," about, Cutler is #1 on my list. That's not saying a whole lot, sure. But it is something.
  10. I am assuming from here on out you do this intentionally.
  11. Your fatal mistake is claiming 1.4 billion as sunken cost that he won't make back. But he didn't lose that money, it's just not liquid. He invested it in the team and can get it back any time he wants, but he's getting 20M per as interest.
  12. Disagree. He threw 19 TD's in 11 games with them with his second highest TD% of his career, second highest passer rating of his career, second highest QBR of his career, second highest # of comebacks and game winning drives of his career and a YPA of 7.4 in 2013. That's elevation. That 2013 Bears O was second in points scored, 5th in passing yards.
  13. The last time Cutty made the Pro Bowl...was under Dennison. Throwing the ball Sammy's way 15 times again will more than make up for TT's leadership.
  14. I always heard it was a Kubiak thing, which is why I ask. He was the OC in Baltimore that year, if you recall.
  15. BMarsh hates Cutty now bro.
  16. Don't you go getting soft on me.
  17. Twitter hates every OC all the time. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
  18. I expect a deal to be done or a pursuit of Cutty as an FA if he's cut this offeseason. Why? Kromer Connection - NIXED Now why would we let go of an OL coach who performed admirably with his unit this year, if not to clear the way because he was somehow an obstacle? Kromer's resume dictated a very serious consideration of retaining him. Dennison Medicine - Look at this man's track record with Cutler. Put him in the Pro Bowl with the #2 offense in the NFL in 2008. Along with these quotes: Cutler was not shy in his praise for Dennison earlier in the week on his radio show, saying (h/t Chicago Sun-Times): One of the best coaches I’ve been around. Very dedicated, extremely hard worker. Takes it very personally. I think he’s gifted in his game-planning. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1482046-chicago-bears-is-rick-dennison-the-perfect-candidate-to-help-jay-cutler I mean, can't you just feel the Cutty fever? In reality, it makes perfect sense. Cutty ain't commanding a big long term salary anymore. Perfect vet stop gap while we draft/develop guys with none of the TT long term baggage. You're welcome.
  19. Huh? We had McDermott rumors and McCoy pursuit rumors.
  20. I LOVE this hire. Years of success with guys like Schaub and Cutler. Emphasizes a strong running game. Absolutely excstatic.
  21. Brees has a way worse defense but you know, whatever. You do realize we already decided to not run the offense TT ran last year, yes? I think we're about to see a nosedive if we keep him around.
  22. Talk about skewed. What's the Colts record with Luck in total compared to without him in 2015? Lots of good QB's do worse in the postseason. Luck carried that team to the playoffs in his first three years and had some bad games against other playoff teams. Big deal. He's not even overrated anymore. He's a top 5 QB under 30, which is what he's always been touted as. A young, good QB, who was surefire to be a good QB on draft day. Period.
  23. I take it you missed week 17?
  24. And our team only looks for luck every 5 years or so.
