  1. Nah, grades matter.
  2. Well Marrone lost his power play and Polian bailed. The alternative to the Whaley/Rex era was the Polian/Marrone era. I don't see advocating, more like supposing. Does getting hired during the Marrone era make him infinitely loyal to the many, incapable of his own opinions? Come on. You think there's a guy in the FO, who is basically a Marrone puppet, and still has a job? Stretch beyond belief. Furthermore, there are a few guys on this board who backed Marrone. Leroi can be one of them/think EJ sucks, AND have a source that tells him FO things. Just because Kirby hears things and likes Phil Rivers, doesn't mean his source loves Phil.
  3. How would someone associated with DM know about the Rex hire? And yes, it's a stretch.
  4. Yes. Glenn is a solid LT, but he isn't top 5.
  5. Heart. http://www.patriots.com/video/2014/12/28/highlight-q2-kyle-orton-fumbles-patriots-recover
  6. Personally, I believe it's very natural to get heated over someone not agreeing with my worldview on speeding charges.
  7. He's saying don't grade Whaley on 2015 acquisitions until it's after 2015. Like, what if Clay is a huge bust and the worst contract ever?
  8. Who is saying she shouldn't get a shot? You're the one who said she's gonna be better than some of them male refs, and you haven't given a reason why, other than that she's a woman. It's like reverse sexism.
  9. That depends. Caught with a little on him? Not much. Caught with a pound with an intent to distribute? I bet his career/earning potential was already at zero.
  10. I've never said they are incapable, Your only "reason" (which you split into two) is that some of the best refs in the world got some calls wrong. Unless this female ref will never get anything wrong, that sorta doesn't matter. Furthermore, you have no idea of her ability to be a ref. How many games of hers have you watched and compared to an NFL ref's? The NFL structure of hiring has nothing to do with her. Or the fact that some plays are unreviewable. That's "solved" by this woman's hiring? I never though there was a ban on women being refs in the NFL. If there was, then clearly lifting that an will increase the possible pool of talent. But I have no reason to believe, in this case, this ref is as good as the others already working. I have no reason to believe she won't be, either.
  11. You'd gamble on a ProBowler? Not much of a gamble.
  12. That's a ton of risk. It's also very rare for a team to be built into a regular tourney team.
  13. What an odd stretch.
  14. What other offers do you think he got?
  15. He could also suck and lose out on the jackpot. Also, do college coaches get one year contracts/allowed to leave after one year? Did you put hit in quotations because you don't believe it is one?
  16. The pool of NFL refs are the best refs in the world. You have no reason to believe that this woman will be better or as good as any of them, other then her existing.
  17. Says the guy who isn't taking a $1.2 million hit.
  18. He was a really good football player.
  19. Meeks has like one career tackle, Gug. Brown is good. Duke had been rotational. He did find Robey though. And get Graham. Nix deserves major props for the comerstones of this D, IMO. Mario/Dareus/Bradham/Gilmore/Searcy/AW is no joke.
  20. Counting chickens. And we're back to, "which defensive players are the best on our team," and they're all Nix guys. Whaley took over for 2013 and beyond.
  21. Yes. That comes with the paycheck and title. He can hire and fire every scout he wants, but it's happening under his watch. Bosses are responsible for their employees. GM's have final say, that's why the buck stops with them.
  22. By the players they actually pull the trigger on.
  23. The GM is the only person making the decisions. We don't know how Whaley felt about drafting Aaron Willaims. We know how he felt about drafting Woods.
