  1. Robert Kraft must be a football genius.
  2. Nix was also hired in starting in 2010 (well, technically December 31st 2009). As far as I'm concerned, we're grading Whaley's job as GM, not his old position as one of the team. There's no way to fairly grade his contribution. He may have hated a pick we made and it turned out great. Or the converse. We don't know. Best way to do it is the standing GM gets all the credit and blame unless something is said otherwise.
  3. The same Jerry Jones who has GMed his team to garbage, and had to be restrained from drafting Johnny Football? Got your back Beef.
  4. I really think that's a poor analogy but I think we agree.
  5. How? A lot of our superstars are Nix grabs. Almost all of them, actually.
  6. Always? You're telling me that fans don't cite bad W-L records of other guys, then spin the W-L records of ours with, "our defense blew it?" Or, when a vet QB on our team throws for 3000 yards and 24 TD's, we shouldn't run him out of town, but when a rookie throws for 3000 yards and 21 TD's on a different team, he's not good enough? You're the other side of the same coin. Both my points still stand. The QB's that were available to draft in 2014 are worth substantially more than the QB's on our roster. Period. That doesn't mean I'm giving Whaley an F, but to act as though there hasn't been a single available QB better than EJ/Cassel is incorrect.
  7. Would any GM trade Bridgewater/Carr for Cassell/EJ? Nah. They're upgrades. They don't need to be Hall of Famers for you to be incorrect. Remember when you used to say, "Man, I really hope the fans don't run out a QB who threw for 24 TD's and regret it later?" I do. And yet, here's a rookie QB who throws 21 TD's on the Raiders and now he's nothing compared the talent Whaley has unearthed. I cherry-picked the same cherry you used to. Like I said, off the mark because they aren't Bills.
  8. Yeah, that 18-1 Pats team he took over was awful and hurt his win total. Was that the only team he has been on? No wonder you think EJ is so much better than Cassel, you're stacking the deck. What's next, counting EJ's WR's drops as completions, then claiming EJ has a better completion percentage? I struggle to see how folks can get excited about Guys like Cassel or Orton starting. No fanbase should ever get excited by that. The same way you get excited about Manuel. By hoping that our starting QB will play decently.
  9. I'm sure you went through all 68 of Cassel's games and adjusted his record for games his defenses "blew."
  10. I guess my point is that if Calipari had complained about that egregious shot clock call, I would've understood it. Bo Ryan's comment about one and done's was a clear shot at Duke, and total sour grapes, and he recognized that within two seconds of saying it. It happens.
  11. I assumed the competition would be close to over by preseason. Please don't take this so personally. It will be so much easier.
  12. Since his last good season. Rex might want a QB who has had a good season before. But that's just making the throws. Not the vet presence/experience on gameday.
  13. I doubt someone emerges.
  14. I think Rex and co will want a vet who isn't gonna panic and has experience with pre-snap reads. If the competition is close, Cassel will get the nod.
  15. The officiating sucked all tourney. It was capricious and crap. Just because Wisconsin got a call or two the game before doesn't make it right.
  16. Yes, 21 TD's as a rookie on the Raiders is a bust season. As usual, you're off the mark because they aren't Bills.
  17. You have zero reason to believe that there are women out there that are better than the best of the best male referees.
  18. He bitched about some ref, who happened to be a girl. It wasn't sexist in the slightest.
  19. I'm just saying, your criterion for the Wall was numbered production. That's why Fred doesn't deserve it. By that same method....
  20. Yes, one of Bradham's victims IIRC. He also dropped the ball that Searcy took to the house.
  21. The Bradford trade really was unbelievably unacceptable. It's not talked about enough.
  22. The fact that a move like this is positive PR sorta demonstrates that it's unnecessary. What...
  23. Unless you've been naughty, right OJ?
