  1. TYTT responded to Baskin about the topic at hand as well, you dolt. You come screaming in ignoring the OP.
  2. I think you missed the point. We know that. Onlookers may not when they poke in a topic or two.
  3. To piggyback off TTYT, I think the treatment of gator on this board is what turns off new posters, especially lefty posters, from coming into the fray. Gator is frequently on the receiving end of the most brutal insults, and I think other posters see PPP as a place where liberals are ganged up on and attacked. Banning gator means fresher blood. I vote yes.
  4. I actually just don't like posturing comments without substance. But you actually out insulted me this round. Congrats! Feel free to come to PPP.
  5. I took the highest and lowest. Hardly a cherry pick. I'm just wondering if Vermont is "too high," why is DC so much higher? Are they even more American than the folks in Vermont? Or can we possibly think there may be other factors at play?
  6. Ha ha ha, no. Is "gun culture" as pervasive in Vermont as DC? Then why does DC have more the 5x the rate of gun murders? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_violence_in_the_United_States_by_state
  7. If you'd like to make a broad claim that "America has a gun problem," then no. I suppose you can't throw out large amounts of data. I would, however, advise you to take a look at some of those numbers and tell me if it isn't possible that's it's just not that simple.
  8. Really? Shifting the argument to "Gailey had no involvement," to beat up on and easily refute is the definition of a straw man. Stick to out arguing 12 post count guys.
  9. That's just what your real estate agent wants you to think.
  10. Marrone urged Whaley to take EJ, you know. He said he talked to him about the offense and stuff. Whaley is free from the burden. Straw man city, population you, bro.
  11. How do the shooting rates change when you throw out Chicago, DC and other hotbeds?
  12. +5. You realize this an admission you don't make serious arguments? I'm sure that's your plan and I just fell for it, !@#$.
  13. How were Geno Smith's college stats "limited?" Didn't he play 3 full years as a starter, and get better every year? How does that relate to Cardale?
  14. Manziel was hated before the domestic allegations. The real difference? Manziel's family money meant that he is held to a higher standard by many folks.
  15. Fair. The real question is, is Robey on the bubble this year?
  16. That was totally tongue in cheek, FYI. I'd agree that if we draft a CB in the first or second, I'd trade Gilly.
  17. It's the offseason...
  18. I always thought the "original" gripe was drafting DB's high, letting them walk when they were good to get overpaid, then drafting another DB high. If we use 2014 as our benchmark, Whaley has drafted a DB high 50% of the time .
  19. If you change up your parameters just a bit, (second rounders, more than 15 years, DB's), you can throw in Byrd, AW, Donte, Clements, Tillman, Winfield, in the last 16 years.
  20. Other than that, it was a great, insightful comment.
  21. Say or urging? What picks don't you think an HC has a major say in? Man, you really are a glutton for punishment. And just so you know, I don't "bludgeon" people for links when they have opinions. Everyone is entitled to believe that Whaley is a better GM than Nix. Or vice versa. But when someone makes a strong claim, "Gailey urged Nix to take Dareus/Mario," i.e. something out of the ordinary of the normal GM/HC collaboration, I'd love to hear why they think that. Your answer, so far, has been "no u." Some folks cite inside sources. I buy that. Some folks pull up links, that's fine too. Some folks just say "my brain thinks it!" and that's a bit harder to swallow. Fight on my men, Sir Andrew said.
  22. Because you're throwing around wild claims and failing to support them. The definition of making things up to argue. You have zero evidence to cite, other than a basic relationship that every GM and HC combo has, and yet you feel very strongly that Gailey urged Nix to draft Dareus and Nix. I'd love to see any evidence at all. See, when I say Rex urged Whaley to sign Incognito and Taylor, I can back it up with actual reports. Outside of the the normal working relationship. That's the difference. Go ahead. Die on whichever hill you wish. I think I'm done here.
