  1. Hard to say this is the case. Jimmy G has had 2 years to learn that playbook, and a Jimmy G with no tape for 4 games may be a better option that Hoyer. If he was guaranteed the job, it makes a lot of sense. If not, then who knows. The Pats aren't the sort of team to throw their money around for a 4 game contributor, either. He may get more on a 1 yr deal with a DEN or NY, who both may feel Bradford isn't worth the asset and/or him and Fitzy are asking for fringe starter money.
  2. Hoyer would be risking quite a bit on a 1 year at best deal with the Pats.
  3. I think this stems from them distorting the storylines to line up. Arya has done nothing for about 6 episodes now and is finally about the have her 80s training montage. Which chronologically didn't match and they already added her a new arc to compensate. Sometimes, nothing has to happen. Glad for the hard reset on Dorne. They screwed that whole thing up so bad. Just cut the rest of them out in a failed assassination attempt and move to the Ironborn.
  4. I run to the phone for this.
  5. Nice job, bandito.

Your. Own. Homework. I'd rather chase waterfalls, but I'm probably just gonna stick to the rivers and streams that I'm used to.
  7. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 43s44 seconds ago US Appeals court reinstates New England Patriots' Tom Brady's suspension over 'deflategate', per Reuters.
  8. I read an article that said, "The Cavs make basketball look too much like work." Very apt.
  9. The OP. Like I said, do your homework.
  10. Dead wrong homie. Do your homework.
  11. We should also draft for the future. Because not doing so is what caused us to "need" to draft EJ.
  12. How raw do you think he is? Comparison-wise.
  13. This is a nightmare to respond to. To your first point, I was talking about Promo, not you. Presume, indeed. And mid round means 3, 4, 5, not middle of the first. To your second point, if Rex Ryan is drafting on some sort of 1 year ultimatum, he should be fired today. Him drafting with only the short term in mind is unacceptable, period. To you third point, cool. I was just asking you to clarify.
  14. I'm more poking fun, but I do find his stances incongruous. Who worries about losing a QB but also doesn't want to have a backup plan? I'm done on that front, however. So is it too early or is it perfect? Shouldn't you draft a QB both when you need one and when you maybe don't? I know if I was an NFL GM, I'd be taking mid-round high ceiling backup QB's every 2 or so years. At worst, you have a guy with a cannon who can probably make something happen if he needs to play due to a lack of film. At best, they develop and become something. While you may miss out on a once every ten years guy like Kyle Williams, that's almost as much a shot in the dark.
  15. Have we not already answered this question? Isn't EJ firmly entrenched as a lame duck #2 QB? I doubt Roman and Lee are giving him the time of day. We should seriously considering getting a guy for Roman (if he's going to be here next year) that he actually wants to work with past '16.
  16. Why not? He's already pretty mad he's playing for peanuts. He could just demand a trade because he's so mad.
  17. But what if Tyrod gets mad and leaves us at the altar? We need a lottery ticket, IMO. Although, picking a QB may make TT even more mad and he may really want us to leave us after that. Tough pickle.
  18. I laughed out loud. Good post.
  19. Just seems like a stretch to spin the offseason. Most folks wouldn't consider exercising an option equal to signing an FA.
  20. But once you add a guy in the draft, it can change everything.
  21. Philadelphia Eagles ‏@Eagles 3m3 minutes ago #Eagles have agreed to a trade with the Cleveland Browns to acquire the second-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 46s46 seconds ago The #Eagles receive: No. 2, 2017 fourth rounder. #Browns receive: No. 8, No. 77, No. 100; 2017 1st rounder, 2018 2nd rounder.
  22. Huh? How does exercising a contract option and slapping a franchise tag on a guy count as "active" in FA? Neither player had a choice. They weren't Free Agent signings. It's like saying, "We were active in FA by not cutting Preston Brown." Lunacy.
  23. This is some of the dumbest stuff I've ever read. Jay Skurski ‏@JaySkurski 45s46 seconds ago Whaley disputes notion #Bills weren't active in free agency, points to the re-signings of Cordy Glenn, Richie Incognito and Stepon Gilmore.
