Not every player evaluation is equal. I reject this idea that there has to be a universal opinion on player evals. And that folks who disagree should be blocked.

What you'd call okay, I'd call mediocre. I think he will be a solid player, but at a high #2 pick, I'd like a guy with a little bit of a higher ceiling. Unless Rag turns out to be a HoFer, I think his role in this defense is and will always be easily replaceable. That being said, he wouldn't be the first player to defy the film and come out like an entirely new player (Darby).

I don't think our run defense was an issue needing addressing, which I think is why many folks lament Rag's coverage ability. This team was eaten up by short routes that targeted our LB's and safeties and IMO, Ragland doesn't really address that.

This entrapment has been screen shotted. AFAIK, I haven't seen anyone doing their homework on this point. Just wondering if anyone making the claim based on a 32 GM baseline of percentage "hits" and where Whaley is on that spectrum has a link or two. Or has actually crunched the numbers.

I would love to see some demonstrable math on what percent of moves Whaley has "hit on." There must be some analytics somewhere.

Whether it was elite vs not elite in 2014 dictates salary cap room and contracts? Do our capologists know that RR schemes and if fans on message boards believe a team was elite are the true variables for maintaining cap space? This is all news to me. You take the risk IMO. Not every one of these 1st round talent guys who fall are successful, but the ones that do are usually great bang for your buck. Imagine a Bills team with Honey Badger, Mettenberger and La'el Collins right now.

If he falls out of the first, you gotta get him. I don't think there's ever a no-brainer pick more than 1st round talent in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
