I care because there are folks who are acting like parting ways with Fitz made the Bills better. Which it didn't. Fitz is leagues above Kolb. Ya'll are biased because he was a Bills QB on a losing team. They aren't even close.

They have a much better chance making the playoffs with 10 wins and Fitz.

Which was considered a miracle, Doc. And Geno has only been worse. Can you tell them you're trying to win an SB with Geno and co? So what's the difference? Besides, you know, winning 10 games instead of 4.

Who could it be? Who is so important to keep that they'd be willing to lose 12 games?

I will ask for the third time. What is the opportunity cost? Fitz is probably twice the QB.

Fitz will win more than Geno and co. Probably 8-11 barring catastrophe. Possibly. I see them not making it with Geno and co. Flynn was a worse QB they overpaid for. Flynn can't carry Fitzy's jock. The concept however, is the same. I'm asking again what is the huge opportunity cost with paying Fitz?

Who will they be unable to sign for that money that would win them more games than Fitz? Why not do exactly what the Seahawks did? Overpay a known quantity, draft a guy, and if the drafted guy looks like a star, play him. If not, play the best QB on the roster.

He was is and always will be a more viable starter than EJ. Period. Play the best players you can.

We had one of the worst defenses of all time. With a crazy HC. If you can't accept that Fitz was, is and always will be better than EJ by now, there is no hope for you.

Luckily, you live in the universe where Pete Carrol is an inferior coach to Jeff Fisher. Your reality is stranger than fiction.

We were worse at QB in both 2013 and 2014 without Fitz. There was no reason we couldn't search for a solution while retaining a safe and known quantity. Besides being stupid. It's the exact reason the Jets should re-sign him.

Is Jeff Fisher a better head coach than Pete Carrol? Was Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler better than Tom Brady in 2015? They all won head to head. And none of them are. You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. Rex's two wins were the best but don't judge him on his last 4 terrible seasons. Todd Bowles had a great rookie HC season, but those two losses are the reason Rex is better. Bowles must be BB's equal because they split, right? And asking what other coaches "were available" is a loaded question. Because IIRC, some other good coaches became available the week after he was hired. Just because we jumped the gun with the hire doesn't make it good.

The goalposts? What? Would you take Bowles over Rex for 2016, yes or no? He got unlucky.

Who cares? 10-6. Second in the division. No defensive growing pains. No cutting $100M talent. No mutinies.
