  1. It used to be in the 1990's that when they lost I was depressed and took the many wins for granted. Honestly, I probably get more enjoyment out of wins now, because I pretty much expect them to find a way to lose every game, and when they don't I am surprised into being excited. I get less and less upset with losses as every loss that should have been a win (see Tennessee 9 days ago) goes by, because it has become the norm for a decade. I don't disagree with the OP on how bad this franchise as been, but I will always cheer them on, gives me something to do on sundays and is kinda like buying a scratch off lottery ticket, you really don't have much chance of winning, but every once in a great while, you get lucky.
  2. It would have been longer if not for a neck injury and his wife battling an illness.
  3. Yep. Bill Buckner had over 100 RBI for the Red Sox in 1986, think the Red Sox fans didn't blame him at all because of those impressive stats?
  4. Can't believe I am going to say this since he has been more of a F-Up since he got drafted, but this year so far-McKelvin on special teams. Did Byrd actually go or was he hurt? Thinking he didn't play but was actually voted in.
  5. I was thinking around 294.
  6. Exactly. The Packers were 15-1 last year, how did that turn out. You have to perform when all the marbles are on the table, and Fitz never does.
  7. He seems to get worse as each season goes by. His sophmore year he was awesome, his junior year he regressed. Notre Dame kicked his ass last night. They can do better then him.
  8. You can't judge a quarterback solely on stats alone, otherwise you would have an argument that Fitz is at least an average NFL QB, and he clearly isn't. Watch Luck play, he had a bad game a week or so ago, but you can see he already "gets it", which Fitz doesn't. You base a rookie QB's career off of his first 6-7 games, then Peyton Manning wouldn't have lasted two seasons in the NFL, but he is actually going into Canton as one of the top 5 QBs ever. Another useless theory, if Gailey goes, Wannstedt is going to go with him. He was the DC of those Cowboy teams for one of the Super Bowls against the Bills, in 1993 he was the Bears head coach. Wannstedy wouldn't have had much of a career at all without Jimmy Johnson. He brought him to Dallas with him from the U. of Miami, brought him to the Dolphins with him. Don't forget, Norv Turner was the OC for both of those Super Bowls against the Bills, and how he is still a head coach is beyond me. It was Johnson's team.
  9. Alot of people make posts on here and only include the info that makes them look smart? You could make a post and list just the QBs that have turned out to be successes and say it always works too. You just happened to leave Aaron Rodgers, Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford, Andy Dalton, Jake Locker, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Kevin Kolb, Jay Cutler and Alex Smith just to name some of them that were also drafted in the first 3 rounds in the same time frame, and most of these have taken their team to the playoffs at least once. Bottom line, if you don't try, you will never get the franchise QB that you need to win.
  10. We already lead the league in that category so what would it hurt to add one more? Maybe the fourth time trying to get gold from a toilet bowl will turn out to be the charm.
  11. Fitz doesn't get "all" the blame, and I am not sure where you even get that idea. He doesn't deserve all the blame, but--------he certainly deserves a large, large part of the blame. He is the one weak link that is killing the offense in crucial situations. Seems like he often does pretty good in the pace of a game, although far from always, but when the chips are on the table, like the end of the Titans game, he hardly ever comes through. The defense is another huge part of the problem and they get a massive part of the blame for the team sucking, but Fitz also deserves a large part of the blame as does Gailey for insisting that he is the "franchise QB" that the Bills need. Fitz is once again one of the lowest rated QBs in the league, he often badly misses on screen passes and just plain can't throw down field. The defense needs fixed for sure, but the QB position needs changed, and the Bils won't win until it is.
  12. I get embarrased because of fellow Bills fans making posts like this one. You are probably one of the ones that defend Fitz after a post like this with a straight face. Tebow probably won more games in a half a season starting last year, then Fitz has since he has been in Buffalo.
  13. I won't call him a bust at all, at least yet, and he has gone through some family stuff in the past month. With that said, he is nowhere close to what was expected of him this year. It was assumed that he would improve on a pretty good rookie season, especially since he wasn't alone in the middle with Kyle Williams back and the additions at defensive end, but honestly he as taken quite a sizable step backwards, as has the run defense. And don't you have other things to do in life besides criticize other individual's posts?
  14. Can it get any worse? He probably is as good as Fitz, with a better arm and much bigger. If not replacing Fitz, he without a spectrum of a doubt would be a better option to run the Wildcat then Brad Smith. Tebow isn't a great passer, but compared to Smith he is.
  15. if Flutie sucked as a QB as you say, then whatever is below sucking is what every QB we have had since him as been. It is one thing to not like someone, we are all entitled to our opinions, but to say something that unintelligent is ridiculous.
  16. Bringing him back just shows you how very low this team has sunk? First time I have heard him compared to Bruce. Different time, different dollars, and for sure different coaching staffs. Not saying Mario hasn't been useless, but I don't think he is under any "shadow" of Bruce. If Fitz' under Kelly's shadow (he sure would fit), Fred under Thurman's? Wood under Hull's? etc.
  17. News Flash-Losing Teams don't really have bandwagons? He orchestrated 5 scoring drives by handing the ball to Freddie and C.J., almost any QB or human could have done that. When he did throw, half of them stopped drives because they were about as close to the receiver as he is to being an All-Pro.
  18. Also has been coaching in the now cancelled UFL.
  19. I really appreciate your optimism, but who were the several other teams that would have given Mario that contract? He didn't have any other interviews and Houston wasn't going to give it to him. Mario should have been, and might still be a upgrade at DE, but he really has never been a consistent dominating player, which one should be for that contract. Your statement on Fitz that we all saw him play at a high level and "occasionally" at a low level? Really? He has had more low levels then he has high levels. Unless you have inside information, I wouldn't throw around "several other teams", "many other GMs" when you don't really know that, but are saying it to display your optimism, but most likely are very, very, very, very inaccurate statements. He led the league in interceptions, lost 8 of 9 games, wouldn't have been alot of teams throwing millions his way, in fact, I am pretty confident in saying that if you were foolish enough and really wanted him back, you could have gotten him for alot less then that extension was, or he would have probably been unemployed or making minimum NFL salary as a backup.
  20. You probably could get Marty if you wanted, he just filed a lawsuit against the UFL because he says they owe him 1.1 million $$.He did say last year on a radio interview here in Norfolk, where he coached in the UFL that he didn't want to coach in the NFL again, but I am sure money talks with him just like everyone else.
  21. 50 years old and he still would be a big improvement over Fitz. NFL is all about winning, and Flutie did that. He is 50 years old and I am sure his arm is still better then Fitz's is.
  22. Only one I can think of is Tarvaris Jackson. Oh crap, we already traded for him and his inability to comprehend a playbook. I would take just about any other starting QB over Fitz.
  23. You could actually put a checkmark in every single box, but until the change is made at the top and it trickles down, this franchise is doomed.
  24. I would say no to Vick, unless he comes really cheap, regardless what anyone wants to try to convince themselves on here, it would still be an upgrade. As far as Andy Reid-in a freaking milisecond. Seriously doubt he would come here to this ownership, because there will always be other jobs available for someone his caliber, but what a great move that would be.
  25. Can you totally put in on Fitz? Heck No! But totally wash his hands of any responsibility for the loss is down right moronic. He, as always, threw and badly missed several wide open receivers, and the last interception he threw, which is one of the dumbest decisions ever made by a QB, most likely costs the Bills the game.
