TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
Optometric Insight replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is too funny. -
Do you have to be from buffalo/ny to be a real fan?
Optometric Insight replied to tito1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In school I get asked the same question and my reply is always the same, I don't know; I guess that's the wrong answer to most teens. I was just born and raised watching Bills v. Dolphins/Bucs (sometimes Jaguars) games on TV and other games on video tape from a family friend up in Buffalo. First game I ever saw was the first game with the Bills' new uniforms in 2003. I've only gone hardcore Bills since the 2008 season and I've never turned back even after the 2008 collapse, firing of Jauron, hiring of Gailey and Nix, 8 or 9 straight loses their first year, and the recent collapse, losing 7 in a row. It's just weird for me to watch a football game without seeing the Bills out there since it's pretty much all Ithe NFL Football I've watched in my life. -

Regarding the first bolded statement, I had a nagging ankle injury while playing baseball and had to sit out for a few months. When I went back to the doctor and he said I was still like 85% but I could still play. When I stepped out onto the field, though, I felt 110%, and was running around making plays. Bottom line is, coming back from an injury is all about the players mentality. Regarding the second bolded statement, that keeps me up at night imagining it and whenever I read someone saying that, my heart rate goes up a little bit

I voted yes because he was a rookie and the lockout, etc. last year. I don't remember seeing him get beat all the time and letting the end get to Fitz so just based on that, I would let him start but I'm also a teen so what do I know But it would be nice to grab a 2nd/3rd round LT and have Hairston hold down the fort while the rookie gets situated and adapted to the NFL.

I don't honestly see why that many people hate on Fitz. He has a different style for QB, he's a gunslinger. He's not like "the Brady" who acts like a ballerina in the pocket, he's way tougher than that. Reminds me of Farve

More conspiracy fuel ( updated at post#28)
Optometric Insight replied to JinWPB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this gives us a chance to prove that we are the real thing and don't need extra help to reach the playoffs. If we come out with a winning record in the first half of the season, beat everyone we should (see end of schedule), and win one or two of those games that we shouldn't win, it proves that we made the playoffs because of our hard work and not because of "extra help." -
If that quote is true, this might be the year he shuts all his haters up; it might also be the year where all his haters rejoice and he never plays in the NFL again. Either way, this year will determine his future career.

Tebow Supporter Youtube FAIL
Optometric Insight replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagreed with everything that guy said. He would say something like, "the defense sucked," and then put up a video with Tebow holding onto the ball for a day and then throwing a terrible pass. Loved the 8:28 part, btw, thanks for posting -

Hey, we only got clobbered 3 times. That one Jets game had me running around the house. -
I would say the draft has to be around an 8 in importance. We relieved some pressure through free agency and now are only players away from glory. If it wasn't for us picking up Mario and Anderson, we would have to draft one or two pass rush guys and then get the CB, OLB, LT, and WR which would make coming out of the draft successfully, very difficult.

NFL and Bills Schedule
Optometric Insight replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to have to go with WEO on this. If I could go to a Bills game and they're just playing spoilers, it wouldn't be very much fun. Beside the point, with global warming, the way winter was last year, the winter games might not be as bad as some of you guys think. If you add in the fact that the Bills could be in playoff contention, I see no reason to complain. -

NFL and Bills Schedule
Optometric Insight replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also like how they are giving us three home games in a row, including Toronto, as if to make up for the three road games they gave us last year where we fell apart into oblivion. -
I voted yes because, like someone else said, you don't really need to fly back and forth. You know, save the environment. If they can find a practice to field that they could use, just stay out there.

NFL and Bills Schedule
Optometric Insight replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People say that we have such a tough schedule and that it's gonna be hard for us to make the playoffs coming down the stretch. I prefer the schedule the way it was since it's all about getting hot at the right time. -

I'm surprised that nobody is really hating on the fact that we are playing in Toronto in December against the Seahawks. I guess Lynch doesn't actually get to come home. -
I look for prime time games first every year. This year, however, I'm also gonna be looking for when we play the Jets: if we play them in the beginning of the year, Sanchise might struggle with all the pressure to play well or he might soar above expectations (I'm leaning towards the latter). If we play them in the middle, we could see a really sruggling Sanchez or Tebow who just got placed into the starting role. If we see them at the end of the year, we'll see Tebow and they might be playing spoilers at that point. But how I look at it is that we could beat them at any time of the year when you put in the fact that we creamed Tebow last year and that Sanchez doesn't perform well under pressure.
