  1. If you believe the a-big-humungous-asteroid-will-hit-us-and-kill-us-all theory, then 99.99999999% of us will. But there are also other kinds of apocalypses like a solar flare that destroys our magnetic field, a super disease that can't be stopped, a food famine, a drought, or, in the words of Kevin, a zombie apocalypse.
  2. Over-analyzing stuff is what makes OTA's fun.
  3. You got me on the OLB, I'll admit. I absolutely agree with you on the WR, its just that Burress needs the spot light. If you can find me any other 6'5" wideout then I'm all for it, its a great match up that will improve our offense, just not Burress. I also agree with you on the TE situation, great matchup situation. Its just that in both cases (WR and TE), Gailey doesn't feel comfortable running anything but a spread offense and setting up the run by passing. If he likes to adapt to what we have, then why didn't we see more split back formations, I-forms, or at least a little single-back. Instead we see Fitz in the shot-gun struggling to throw the ball. When we went down by two TDs in the 1st quarter, Gailey freaked out and went pass happy. We had an entire game to come back and he had Fitz trying to do to much and throwing INTs. McNeil in my eyes is just like Merriman, he's injured and has had a tough time coming back to his original form. If you like taking that risk, that's fine. Lets just agree to disagree.
  4. I saw this on the news. If the apocalypse happens, expect more of this out of people who have gone crazy.
  5. That was some nifty car handling. I would have just had the crew work on it while the car was turned, like Jack said. Then just do a 180 and continue on.
  6. Then who would you like at QB? Last year, I think only Gabbert and Ponder were out there. We still had better records then them. This year, no one was out there of significant importance. :wallbash:
  7. Yeah, top-5 O-line for the fist 3-4 weeks. And I'm not sure how good of a comparison this will be but think of it like the 2002 Oakland Athletics. They couldn't afford that many big named guys, like us, so they get guys that haven't proven themselves in the big leagues. They took a chance on the younger players, the one that haven't proven themselves but had potential because the A's front office knew it would work out. Now, I know all you will be thinking that it never happens, that its the most dumbest idea. But it goes to show that sometimes the FO knows more than the fans do. EDIT: sorry about the two posts in a row. Had to get my two cents out there
  8. OLB: To much competition isn't always good, in my opinion. If you bring another veteran, Morrison and Barnett might feel like they're trying to be replaced and the younger linebackers wouldn't know where to go for help. WR: Burress is the worst option for a big wide out. Plus Chan's idea for spreading the ball out by lining up 4-5 WRs and giving it to everyone (which I don't necessarily think is the best idea for this offense) would kill Burress because he isn't getting the ball. TE: Even though that's a really good idea, I can't imagine Chan bringing in another TE that would actually see snaps. Like I said above, he likes lining up in 4-5 WR sets, not twin TE formations. LT: We have Hairston who would most likely start right now while Glenn gets ready to start at LT. Don't have him play RG because that's the other side of the line and a whole other position. If you want him to play LT, you have him prepare himself at LT, not have him learn a whole other position. It will just get him confused and make us look like we need another LT.
  9. But if it doesn't work out for Fitz, do we give him another year? This is the first year he has an entire off-season to prepare for starting for the Buffalo Bills.
  10. I like NBC sports (NBC in general). They're the only station to play hockey games down in SWFL other than the NHL Center Ice Package. I think the only way ESPN will be able to keep up is if they put regular season hockey on at least once a week on a weekday. There's always that period of dead space sometime in past November when all that ESPN plays is basketball and I think that it will help ESPN get some ratings.
  11. Its hard to get into a fight with yourself, unless your a blonde.
  12. Its awful hearing something like this. Tough thing to go through. I worry about my dog death every time I lie down at night. My condolences
  13. I'll add that to my "things not to do when I grow up" list
  14. I think they're going to run a defense that best suits their players.
  15. This thread saves me from reading five pages of posts.
  16. I like it. Gives me less time to wonder what the Bills will be like since there's less time between work outs.
  17. Getting to the playoffs makes you a good team; getting to the title game makes you a great team; getting to the Super Bowl makes you the best of the best team.
  18. Like the IR rule change. I never really understood putting a player on IR when there is a chance that they could play at the end of the year. It's not like the player they replace him with is going to be a game changer.
  19. Welll actually it was the first article on the homepage for a day or two. I would probably buy a ticket if I could have. Hopefully the front office is'nt doing this just to sell tickets and that they are actually serious about winning.
  20. I'm looking forward to seeing Gilmore on Welker. Think it would be a good test, especially at the end of the season when we get to measure how much he has improved over the season.
  21. I never noticed that. I know the announcers said Brady got intercepted back-to-back for the first pair but I didn't even notice the second pair until right now.
