Jeffery kinda rubs me the wrong way, the same way James Hardy did.

The importance of TE's in the NFL
peterpan replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buddy straight up said they wouldn't draft a TE in this draft. I believe him. reference the fan chat thing from tuesday -
Chandler Jones, assuming he goes late enough to be considered a steal still.
-
At this point the Bills better have a short list of their favorite ten guys layed out on their board. One will become a Bill as one will be guaranteed to be there. Mine is as such: 1-Luck 2-RG3 3-Kalil 4-Blackmon 5-Kueckly 6-Claiborne 7-Decastro 8-Cox 9-Barron 10-Gilmore

Buddy addressed moving up, not likely
peterpan replied to HornyToad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not a suprise, Buddy has said they like to keep their picks. But I still think moving back is a real possibility. -
Which other top 10 pick will suck?
peterpan replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well suck is a relative term to where the player is drafted isn't it? Ill go with Richardson. He doesn't have the elite speed to warrent a top ten pick, and RBs are chewed up and spit out these days. Peterson and C Johnson as evidence. -
Wilson was lockdown on Gronk in both games. He allowed one TD early, but he ahd perfect coverage - it was one of those things where you just cant cover 6'6''. Wilson was an inch from tipping the ball away. Leter in the game, in the rezone, on the same seam route, Wilson mad the pick. It was a great play. Grock is the best in the business, and Wilson covered him better than anyone else in the NFL. Wilson coulda be the DMVP of the league last year if he didnt get injured. I think it was also on Pro Football Focus, they had him as the second best SS in the league - this is the good site that watches every play. these are the same guys who love KW. Plus Wilson got a late start so there aren't a lot of miles on him.

Do we really need to trade down for Kalil?
peterpan replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont doubt it, I just dont see anyone trading up for Kalil. Look at the rest of the draft after 10, teams that need a LT have no ammo to do the deal. -
Yea I thought the same thing. I am most intrigued with his prediction that Kalil makes it past Min. I think that is extremely likely to happen with Nawrocki predicting it (as he is usually very accurate, especially at the top of the draft). Someone else reported that the Bills would give up their 2nd to move up for Kalil, which is reiterated in Nawrocki's mock. Well, our 1st and 2nd equals the 4th overall selection via the trade chart. A swap with the Browns, Bucs, Rams becomes more likely..... althought Id really love to retain our high 2nd somehow.
-
This is the guy who is always the most accurate mock drafter, including the last 6 right for the Bills. Has us taking Barron(passing on Kuechly and Gilmore), but says we want to trade up for Kalil, who falls to the Rans at 6 fwiw. http://www.profootballweekly.com/2012/04/26/nawrockis-final-mock-draft

SOURCES: Bills looking to trade sideways
peterpan replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leave me out of this! I don't swing both ways! Girls have coodies - GROSS! -
I fand that hard to believe. That was the Calin Johnson year. Did anyone have Russel rated over CJ? I dont remember any....I thought Russell went 1st bc of positional importance.

SOURCES: Bills looking to trade down....
peterpan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
aAll three of our Gs will be FAs at the end of this season, and Wood is coming back from injury and has been injury prone. Decastro is the most likely pereniel all pro on the board and can play G or C. I also get Glenn in my wet dream scenario And dont forget we would have the 49th pick to spend on a CB or WR, J Jenkins or Sanu perhaps? -
SOURCES: Bills looking to trade down....
peterpan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love this trade. I would then take Decastro at 18, and use our 2nd and 3rd, and SDs 4th, to trade back up into the early 20s and draft Glenn (Per Mayocks Mock we could land both players in those spots). I would have effectively used the Bills first two picks (10 and 41) to draft Glenn and Decastro AND moved our 3rd round selection UP to #49, where we should be able to land a decent WR or CB. I just love those big Studs on the O and D lines. One can dream, PIXEYLAND!!!!!!! -
I thought that the Browns are the only team that may have had a better draft last year than the Bills. I say may because they added a few picks in this years draft and depending on how those picks pan out, they will either surpass us or not.

This is the end of the draft trade value chart debate.
peterpan replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know why you came after me like a big bad crazy tiger! I was just posting for some discussion. Whats up your butt today? (I know its not me....butt I'd like to be ) -
There's talk that Kalil could slide out of the top 10.
peterpan replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look at the 10 picks after the Bills, and find me a team with the need and firepower to jump in front of the Bills. It aint pretty. -
This is the end of the draft trade value chart debate.
peterpan replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe the chart is a constantly living changing chart, and the new rookie wage scale is making higher picks more valuable, ie the Cleveland and Rams trades the last two years. Per the chart both overpaid. Did the Player Personal on the Falcons and Skins not memorize their chart well enough? I still use the chart when thinking of potential trades, but if a team wants to move up or down, they will give up more or less depending on how much they want to move up or down. And with top talent now much much cheaper, thats more incentive to give up more in a trade up or demand more in a trade down. That chart isnt set in stone at all. -
In a year or two everyone will forget about it just like the Pats. You still hear Brady is the best ever, Belicheat the best ever, etc. I guess what does the elague expect? A team cheats its way to three superbowls and are fined some measily amount and loose one draft pick? Id give up my entire draft for a SB. You are encouraging cheating with that type of punishment. A real punishment would have been revokeing the SBs and all the wins and banning the coach for at least 1 year, if not life, and serious fines and forfeit an entire two drafts (like the college SMU death penalty)

Former Falcon who was suing NFL commits suicide
peterpan replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unless the NFL had a time machine then I think they didnt know the long term impacts of concussions either. I don't think they should be held liable for anything the players encounter afterwards, because its not like they covered anything up. They did start the pension/healthcare plan or whatever. Wich for the record is run by the players union. -
Is it true they have to watch it in real time? AKA they cant slow it down and zoom in like you can see on TV. I think thats BS and kinda takes the point out of replay. I actually hate the replay system. They stop the game, wait 5 mins, just to still get the call wrong. Like that missed PAT that was called good in that Cuse game allast year. I mean really? He blatently missed it, it was called wrong on the field, they reviewed it, and still got it wrong..... I can live with the Refs being human, I cannot stand when they take mins to make a wrong call after having all of the evidence right there in front of them. After crap like that, I cant help but think they are throwing the game.
-
I doubt it. We have GW who is a stud and Burd who is very good and have solid backups.
-
Why do some people think it will be hard for a rookie LT to come in and play right away? OL is one of the easiest transitions. Joe Thomas, Jake Long, The LT from Denver whose name I cant think of right now, They all came in and started from day 1. Same with Wood and Levitre, and as we saw with Hairston, even if they dont start they can play well for you. It will be easier to get PT out of an OLman than WR or CB thats for sure
-
I guess its all perception. Weren't nix's comments that he thought two or three guys could start for you day one, and that a few later round guys could be starters in a year or two? That Naworski guy had Glenn at the front end of his 1B slot per the teams he talked to. That would put Glenn in the front end of the 11-22 range. I get the feeling Glenn is the guy Buddy likes, because he is SEC, has proto type size, and the starts (50).

Im not so sure about the 'key contributer Johnny White' He could be off the roster this year. But that Justin Rodgers was a REAL find. I have high expectations from him.
