  1. If you look at it as attempts/sack Philly jumps up to 8th, though agreeably not top 5. Tough to measure these things using just stats...especially without the "time allowed to throw" stat that you mention that doesn't exist.....
  2. Well, those certainly stacked the odds against Philly. Just about every time I watch them play I realize what a good Passing O-Line it is...McNabb usually has time to eat a sandwich before he throws, even when he stays in the pocket. But they "never" run, so you won't see them show up in the top five of any rushing category. I decided to look at these teams, as I remember taking a look before as successful O-Lines to find a common thread, and that thread seems to pretty much follow through to this year. When you look at the six teams above, with the exception of San Diego (who completely gutted their line last year), every one of them has a line that has pretty much been together for years. Of course, there always has to be a new guy at some point, but basically each line has at most 1 player getting their first start with the team this year.
  3. 5th, same YPC at LT. LT has 45 more yards rushed than McGahee and has played one more game (San Diego's bye is this week of course, since they play the Bills in two weeks... ). McGahee will never measure up to LT as long as he allows 3 Bruschi (We're not worthy!) "hits" every time he carries the ball....
  4. It's a metric thing....
  5. If you really want to go off the deep end, there's always Screamin' Jay Hawkins. His one "hit" ("I Put a Spell On You") was probably about the only song of his they would play on the radio. He was whacked too, would enter the stage to sing his signature tune while stepping out of a coffin... If you're adventurous, check out his "Consipation Blues" sometime....don't say I didn't warn ya!
  6. So you're saying you'd rather we keep Pat than sign Holcomb, Gandy and Anderson?
  7. Well, I guess if you saw it there, then the answer is "yes..."
  8. It's obvious Andy Reid can't coach his way out of a paper bag or else he would have put a laminated list on TO's locker to shut him up just like the genius Marvin Lewis did...
  9. Why do you think people are calling for them to say it?
  10. Besides, Ralph would never pony up $3 Million/year for a head coach...
  11. Heh. A little slip trying to do things naturally....not sick, just kinda funny.
  12. Yeah, but it could use a little more bar-chick-a-bar-nare. Just picturing the lead in: [robot voice] I just finished cleaning the pool Ms. Johnson, is there anything else you need...? [/robot voice]
  13. Patriots | Retirement of number 54 brings world peace Thu, 3 Nov 2005 16:39:06 -0800 To update a previous story, all of the countries realized that if they can agree remove a number from the numerical system, then they can agree on everything, and have delcared a new era of world peace. A new tape purportedly from Osama bin Laden surfaced, saying "maybe there was unrest over the inadequecy of the number 54 before now. Maybe now that it has so much meaning that it has been retired we can all get along. I would like to take this announcement to also formally invite American President Bush over to my cave to watch the Patriots game this weekend."
  14. Patriots | Number 54 to be retired Thu, 3 Nov 2005 16:38:06 -0800 To honor Tedy Bruschi (We're not worthy!), all the nations of the world have agreed to retire the number 54. From here on out, everyone is asked to go straight from 53 to 55.
  15. You do know you could suffocate doing that right?
  16. You got hit by the new filter! Try this
  17. Do I hear four? (NSFW, if you work with pigs... )
  18. Does this mean we'll be getting the :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: smiley back?
  19. Just not on this board...
  20. So is Boriska the Pravda equivalent of Bat Boy?
  21. Bruschi (We're not worthy!) has established a set of rules for settling injury claims that has received global support from insurance companies, industrial leaders, and accident victim's rights groups. This set of rules will completely eliminate injury/death settlement related lawsuits. Ditto.
  22. It was just announced that Tedy Bruschi (We're not worthy!) will be the first person to lie in state in the Capitol building before his death. Since his obvious immortality will deny him the privilege, Congress has passed a Bill calling for the construction of a hyperbaric chamber designated for the Bruschi (We're not worthy!) to stay in 3 nights per week while devout followers, well-wishers, and non-journalists alike can pass by and offer their appreciation. Due to health and safety concerns, only patrons with valid press credentials will be allowed to make use of the chamber's "glory hole."
  23. This movie is intended to show off NASA's new "skin" for robots that is intended for it to be able to detect human presence and move out of the way to avoid accidents. They showed off this new technology by having one of the prototype robots with the skin "dance" with a ballerina. The shape of the "robot" made for an interesting display, to say the least....wonder if the demo was sponsored by Pfizer...?
  24. I've seen it myself...
