Favre tailgates with the Superfans
ExiledInIllinois replied to WhoTom's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"Yeah, 1919 was an historically atrocious year because it saw the birth of the two great evils in the 20th Century: The Packers & Prohibition." It also had Spanish Flu (1918-20) and the "Black" Sox scandal. I guess 1919 was bad! ?? -
Karma sure is a Mutha Fooger! I pray for you and all the son inlaws out there. Especially the newlywed SiL's: Like my older sister... She left Hutchinson Island in Stuart because of Dorian... Drove 20 hours up to CBus, O-H-I-O to visit newlywed daughter and fresh of the press son inlaw... My sister pissed and moaned whole time about drive, being tired, leaving, storm will be weaker, the whole 9 yards. Guess what happens last weekend in the Columbus? BOOM... Big thunderstorm hits Ohio and they lose power for two days. Hail too. Biblical proportions! Then she beatches about the aging infrastructure in Ohio and they can't restore power because of a feeble little thunderstorm... /smh What a hell of way to start a marriage. Slunk over a generator watching your Mutha Inlaw bellyache... LoL... God, make it quick... Oak tree you're in my way! LoL Guess who my sister aligns herself with politically? But that's immaterial and (I) don't want to get accused of anything here. Match made in heaven, Florida needs her! Oh... We should have just shipped her off to Alabama, she loves getting prayed for! LMAO...

Anybody comment on what the ***** is going on in the Southeastern corner of Wyoming? Oh yeah... That's Laramie, WY. Great that the Bills Base is expanding! ? -
My Sister is in Stuart on Hutchinson Island. She is still up North till Tuesday. How did the barrier islands fair in and around Stuart?

Rigid used to be VERY good. Professional contractor (like tool and dies, pipe benders, etc...), but went south when it went consumer mass market. Ryobi on other hand used to be lower quality. Amazing how brands turn around, do about faces. Much like car makers. The big corps have their hands in all over the place. Foreign and domestic.

Two takeaways: 1. Modern construction hip roofs seemed to fair visibly well. Or, ar least visibly well enough when hit with 185mph sustained winds and +200mph gusts. Of course they were hurricane strapped, etc.... 2. Check out where some of those boats ended up! /smh in disbelief Like Mutha Nature took a #2 pencil and rubbed The Bahamas out with its eraser! Even worse, she grabbed the jumbo Pink Pearl and went to town. Maybe a speck here or there that she attempted to employ her erasing shield with. Just WOW! JC! Next time hope Mutha Nature uses: With this: Might as well just send it through this and start on over! What do you do? Can you bulldoze the whole island, like make a clean pass with a Zamboni®!!!

Look at it this way... Bad teams usually have good punters... For obvious reasons. Get on the bright side... The Bills will be a good team again, we have a bad punter! See, that's the right frame of mind! You can't have your cake and eat it too. We've been so obsessed with finding a good punter, what the hell we gonna need him for now. Anyway... .Bills got a punter that has a consistent 45 yard average. Again... What will we need him for? Bills will be so damn good, even if an offensive drive stalls out of FG range... Bills will still be at mid-field! ? ^^^^^^ That my friends is the very epitome of: "TrustingTheProcess!©"

No sh*t Sherlock. Sarcasm detector broken or just not keeping up today. My bad for not citing my references properly. I figure, it got him far, why not me. That was a direct quote from our President Tweet: Oh, those poor people in Alabama. "We don't know where it's going to hit, but we have an idea. Probably a little bit different than the original course. The original course was dead into Florida. Now it seems to be going up to toward South Carolina, toward North Carolina. Georgia is going to be hit. Alabama is going to get a piece of it, it looks like. But it can change its course again and it could go back more toward Florida." ~The Weatherman In Chief

Yeah, that too. But, I am really concerned about the good people in Alabama. We don't know where it's going to hit, but we have an idea. Probably a little bit different than the original course. The original course was dead into Florida. Now it seems to be going up to toward South Carolina, toward North Carolina. Georgia is going to be hit. Alabama is going to get a piece of it, it looks like. But it can change its course again and it could go back more toward Florida.

Then there's this "heart tugging" story. God bless their little hearts: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1048941 Yeah, right: “The only people on this block who left have the money to do it — a dentist, a pilot, an anesthesiologist,” They don't have the "money" to get out? Time to sell the boat and put down the drink. Only in 2019, errant priorities get worshipped: "WILBUR-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. — Typically on Labor Day, Sherry Estrada and her family go boating or relax with a drink on the beach a quarter-mile from their home. ..." /smh you cant make this stuff up. There used to be a time: Now in 2019 when natural calamity strikes: “You've come a long way, baby”

LoL... Backing in. Pinch me I am dreaming if that was ever attempted!

Sorry... Too deep way too deep. Carry on.

Where is Election Day there. Voters love storms. It ain't a jet plane with Nose-Wheel steering. I will shoot video of my wife pulling the car into the driveway. You'll have greater appreciation for Dorian's track. LoL...
-
That's razor close. I almost wonder if it does less damage just slamming into one smaller point... Then taking the whole coast in a path of damage. Like a scratch on a car. One dent on fender vs. a narrow one on three or four panels! $$$$$$ wise this will be alot!

Honestly... Yes... It sounds harsh. But, is it? My old man would have handled it the same way... Maybe sans the scolding part, that was a bit over the top for 2019. People really should take swimming lessons. All humans have ability to swim. Also... Should have one of these in your vehicle: Get to the roof... -
Nice... That's what I thought it was at first .. Looked like a gunstock. Figure, back in those days, you had one smokey shot at the enemy before they were all over you like ugly on an ape... You miss, better have a back up plan! ?
