  1. Buffalo is a drinking town with a hockey problem, and that was Tommy B's problem too. Best career move was getting out of town.
  2. Who can blame him? It's the same way our top 10 draft choice will feel next April. We've sunk to that level yet again.
  3. Thank you. This thread continues to support my hypothesis that any thread which starts out with "Wait...hear me out...." are never to be taken seriously and destroy any and all credibility of the offending poster.
  4. Not sure where you're getting that from. This is absolutely nothing like the howling that was occuring during the DJ years.
  5. Yeah, if that's sucking, I'll take that every day and twice on Sunday.
  6. What he said. Oh, and if you think we go 5-3 in the 2nd half, pass it down.
  7. How so? He was right where he needed to be. Waited forever for the ball to get there, and was interfered with. So how is that TO's fault?
  8. Did you watch Jason Peters last night? McNabb was repeatedly rushed into making quicker throws than he'd like. It happens. Peters seemed to be getting beat repeatedly to the outside. For a guy who's supposed to be so quick and so strong, you'd think once Peters gets a hand on you and pushed you to the outside, you'd be out of the play. But no, the guy never veered off course and shrugged off Peters as he blew by him on his path to the QB.
  9. You guys do realize with a DVR it takes maybe 20 minutes to fast forward and watch just the offensive plays, right?
  10. I'm not sure if this was sarcastic or not, but watching Bell snap for snap compared to Peters snap for snap this week, I don't see a big difference in their level of play. And Bell has only 6 starts and will get much better, while Peters has proven he will quit on you at some point.
  11. To answer the OP question, he was generally 10 yards behind the QB.
  12. That's the thing though, he's not getting beat like a drum. He had 3 bad plays yesterday, one of them resulting in a sack, out of all the offensive snaps. No one ever plays a perfect game. I just think all the "he sucks" talk is a little premature, and not really fact based. Looking for some input from some of the OL gurus to either confirm or deny.
  13. Focus on what Peters does on every snap tonight, compare and contrast it to what Bell did yesterday, and I just don't see a huge difference. Certainly not a $10M difference.
  14. My guess is that Bell was actually graded out very well by the coaches from yesterday's game. I re-watched every single offensive snap again on DVR, specifically focusing only on Bell. He made 3 mistakes. The rest of the snaps he seemed to be doing his job. Not perfect, but not too bad for his 6th NFL start. Some are already running him out of town, but I say please watch and evaluate an entire game performance. He was far from the problem on the OL yesterday. Some who are infatuated with the interior may want to take a closer look there.

  16. While Bell had a few problems, do you have more specifics? I watched again on DVR up to the Evans TD in the 4th, and focused specifically on Bell for every snap. Yes, he had a bad series down by our goal line for the safety, with a penalty and then whiffing on his block on the safety. Then he didn't pick up anybody and went to the 2nd level on a sack. And he let Everette Brown school him once. Yes, those are 3 bad plays. But on every other snap I don't see anything awful, and he seems to be doing his job. It's not like Chambers when he seemed to be getting killed every snap by a CFLer. Wondering if it's perception more than anything, but to me Bell does not seem to be so bad, for his 6th NFL start.
  17. Oh, I wasn't dismissing Kyle. He's been playing well this season. I was just sayin' if Kyle is out due to injury, we REALLY can't afford to lose Stroud or it could get even uglier on the ground. Like, what's the NFL record ugly.
  18. I couldn't believe on the game day thread that some people were actually getting sucked in by Jauron again. And that worries me that Ralph might too.
  19. I'm pretty sure the answer at QB is not presently on the roster.
  20. I knew the Tackles were not playing well this season, but was generally optimistic about the interior. They took a step or two back today.
  21. Not gonna happen on the Jauron/Fool watch. They love that guy.
