  1. Haven't watched for a few years. Don't like that it starts so late. I have to work in the morning, starting at 7:00 a.m.
  2. It clearly was helmet to helmet. Should have been a penalty. Johnson out because possible concussion.
  3. I tried it on desktop. Same thing. Came back for a couple minutes at beginning of 2nd half but screwing up again.
  4. Too many turnovers (last week also). Penalties. Glad they won but need massive work.
  5. I lost my husband on Thanksgiving Day to cancer. Yes he was a smoker. When first diagnosed they gave him 12-18 months. But they hoped with experimental drugs he might get 5 years. From diagnosis to the end was 5 months. I'm still struggling with it. Every time something needs to be done that he used to do I'm now learning to deal with it. I always thought I was self-sufficent but after 29 years I am realizing how much I relied on him. I would never wish this on anyone. Any kind. Prayers are with the Kelly family during this time.
  6. All I have to say is I can't afford 4 more years. Yes, I have a job, but no raise in 5 years. Living costs continue to rise. I am literally living paycheck to paycheck. My savings have dwindled down to next to nothing.
  7. Papa John's is terrible. Tried it once, won't ever again. I even thought Dominos was better. Live in Florida and we have Casa di Pizza (2 locations with the original on Elmwood Avenue). It's a little out of my way but it is worth it.
  8. I can't remember when I haven't had to show some form of ID to vote, whether it be a voters registration (which you could not get without proving residency and showing ID) or picture id. The last few years I have only shown my drivers license, then the workers verify my name and address on the list for the district. In Florida you can get a non-drivers id. Years ago when I lived in NY before they had pictures on the drivers license they checked the signatures when you signed in to vote to the drivers license. Hospitals even ask for picture ID. My husband has had three out-patient procedures in a month and each time they asked for his insurance and id which they scan. I don't know how they handle it when you are an illegal or indigent. Maybe next time, we should just say we don't have insurance or ids and get our medical for free instead of having to pay for what the insurance didn't cover.
  9. Personally I would have put Tony Greene and Robert James higher than honorable mention. Loved those two when they played. They complimented each other in the defensive backfield. Definitely agree with Bobby Chandler. Loved the sideline grabs and the touchdown with just his toes in bounds. So sad when he passed away with cancer. Reggie McKenzie, great O-lineman, part of the Electric Company. (Some prejudice. I personally met Reggie and Tony Greene and they were both gracious to our group.) Remember seeing O.J. practice as a kid at a local park when he was a rookie. (Yes, it actually happened. They brought the team in on school buses.) Can't disregard his career on the field. I never really got crazy about Blesdoe. Hard to root for someone who played for the hated Patriots. He started well but ..... Worst #1 draft pick for Buffalo, Walt Patulski, Cousineau second. Quarterbacks not crazy about - several come to mind - Ferragamo, Marangi, Dufek, Johnson and yes, Trent Edwards. A couple hits and Trent was like a deer in headlights (wasn't sold on him even in the beginning).
  10. One player does not make a team but it is a step in the right directtion. Remember when they drafted Bruce Smith, he was the catalyst for the building of the defense that eventuaally got us to the Super Bowl. It was the start. The defense got better. Our defense needs massive improvement. Hopefully, Mario is the catalyst.
  11. My husband and I bought our season tickets when Jim Kelly was signed. Had them until 1994 when we sold our business and moved south. Still love the Bills. Thank God for the internet. Hook up the Tv to the laptop and watch the games. Won't pay the price for Direct TV just for the Bills (don't watch a lot of other games). If we want to go out, many places have the NFL package to go to, including a couple that cater to the Bills fans. (There are fans all across the country.) If I still lived there I'd want seasons because this year the management really seems to want to improve the product.
  12. Years ago there was a kid coming out of college and Buffalo drafted him #1 (but he actually was signed before draft day). Buffalo had aa losing record then. The defense was built around him. Bruce Smith is now in the Hall of Fame. Buffalo is finally making an effort to be competitive. Williams could be the catalist like Bruce Smith. And they are willing to pay.
  13. I haven't had Direct Tv in almost 7 years and I never had the NFL package. Went to a Bills bar to watch the game. This year I watch it at home by hooking my laptop up to hy HD TV. If I can find a feed there is no charge. I won't pay their price just for one game a week when most weeks I can find a free feed on the internet and with an HDMI cord I can watch it on my TV.
  14. The welfare system was set up to help people get back on their feet with temporary help. It was not intended to support you for life. I knew someone who had two kids and was on welfare long enough to get some education and support her kids. She graduated and got a good paying job. It wasn't set up to be your job and you get a raise for every kid you have. And that woman had 15 kids and only 37? Hope she had some twins or she gave birth at 12 and every year after that. The father of 10 of the kids was still only called her fiance? He's now in jail.
  15. What I have liked so far is that Buffalo has actually been scoring. They have good numbers in the red zone, where in previous years they stunk. And even when down can't count them out. I wish the defense wouldn't allow so much yardage but they have come up big at times. Already have one more interceptions thant they had all of last year. If Philly hadn't called their last time out, with Buffalo and inches, it might have been different. Good call by Gailey to go for it. Buffalo has for the most part been fun to watch this year.
  16. The only other time I could find was Jan. 9, 2011, playoff game between KC against the Baltimore Ravens.
  17. I am not an expert on football but I think if even a quarterback loses a football while still on his feet, it is a fumble. This "tuck rule" (because Brady was a wuss) is bogus. If at one point his arm was going forward and then pulls it back (pump fake) and fumbles, it is an incomplete pass based on the tuck rule, that is Bull. His knees didn't hit the ground, he was not down, the ground did not cause the fumble. He never let go of the ball until it was knocked loose. To me that is a fumble. If he brings his arm back attempting to tuck the ball in and retains the ball that is fair game for someone to knock loose. The league has gone overboard protecting the quarterback. Anybody playing in the league knows there is always the chance of injury no matter what position they play. How can you call that an incomplete pass when it was tucked up against the quarterback's body and never left his hand?
  18. We didn't play a great game, but to lose a touchdown because of the "tuck rule". Hate that. Just because a quarterback is pulling it in it doesn't count? It still came lose long before the play call dead or thr quarterback on the ground. And Steve Johnson made the catch. His arm was under it and he had control when he came down. Bad calls.
  19. His arm was under the ball. It was not an incompletion. Bad caal by the refs.
  20. I knew if I searched long enough someone would have Chris Berman. Thanks for the clip.
