Pegula gives Whaley,Ryan 1 year to fix Bills? (BN retracts!)
Peter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder if this is the same source who supposedly said that Rex and DW do not get along. I am going to reserve judgment for the time being as to whether this is accurate. I also do not want DW to feel like he needs to overpay to make trades. -

I am sure there is. It was on the Bills website last year. -

Once again. I do not care whether you believe me or not. I do not need you or anyone else to believe me on this. I feel 100% confident in the information I was given - I do not need your validation (no offense intended). I tried to give you an example that is out in the open from which anyone could draw their own conclusions. It was not a media snippet but a press conference that I watched that was unedited. Anyone who watched St. Doug live and unedited can draw their own conclusions about how he treated Scott Berchtold on camera and others off camera. I believe Scheffer has chimed in. Also, as I recall, both Shefter and Marrone are represented by Sexton. -

Go ahead and do that yourself. I have my own sources and I am "obviously" (to quote St. Doug) not going to burn them for you or anyone else. I really do not care whether you believe me or not. Big deal. In my opinion, the guy was a total douchebag. In fact you do not even have to interview anyone who worked in that building if you are afraid to find out the answer. Watch that PC where St. Doug treated Scott Berchtold as if he cleaned Marrone's toilettes. Actually, I think that there was more than one. If that is the way St. Doug treated the Senior VP of Communications on camera you can draw your own conclusions as to how he treated people who worked in that building off camera. -

I am still trying to figure out how the Browns are going to hire Marrone as their HC. Did they get permission from the Jets to interview him? It is funny how the same people who were spreading rumors about him getting the Jets and Bears jobs are now spreading rumors about him and the Browns . . . . -

Nothing like what you are suggesting by "inappropriate." I am not suggesting anything like that at all. It is interesting that you would think that though. I would invite you to speak to anyone who worked in that building and ask them how he treated people -- not just football people -- but ordinary people that are just trying to make a living. You can come up with your own opinion about him. -

They also may want to interview some people at OBD drive about him. Not just football people and PR persons, but people like the receptionist . . . . -

The nicest thing I can say about St. Doug is that he certainly knows how to hire a great agent who spreads his name as if he is the number one candidate for each job. Other than that, I stopped defending him the day he quit on my team. -

How many times was Mario supposed to actually try? -
AP Report: Bills Will Release Mario After the Season

Let's put things in perspective. Rex has coached hundreds of players in his time at the Ravens, Jets, and Bills. We always have heard how his players love Rex. Given this history, some of you guys want to pretend that this is Rex's and not Mario's fault?!? -

Nobody circles the wagons like Buffalo News sports writers when one of their own is criticized. It has happened on Twitter, and I am convinced that they post here anonymously (to push their narratives and defend themselves). It is funny how these guys who criticize practically everything have the thinnest skin. -

2.6% Dick Lebeau and Wade are probably wondering why such a low percentage. Mario should remove the mirrors in his house. I would love to hear what Kyle Williams' thoughts are on Mario's "effort"? -

Thank you. Perspective. 30 freaking snaps and the guy goes on strike while being paid MILLIONS of dollars. I defended Mario for most his time with the Bills, but Mario should be embarrassed as both a man and a football player. -

Peter replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well before the first game of the season, there were those who said Mario should/would be a cap casualty if he did not take a pay cut. The fact that Mario has gone on strike for most of the season only confirms that he deserves to be cut. I defended Mario every step of the way until I saw him mail it in. P.S. How many plays out of all his defensive snaps did Mario actually drop back into coverage?!? -

Bucky is a clown. He has had it in for the Pegulas. Take everything he says (writes) with shaker full of salt. To get some perspective on Bucky's take, read (or re-read) that article he wrote about Kim about a year or so ago. -

Chip Offed...the old block
Peter replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does this mean that Saint Doug will step down as HC of the Jets? As an aside, I hope that this does not cause Shady to try to go back to the Eagles. It was a bit odd seeing his PDA for his old team when I doubt that he will ever be as emotionally attached to the Bills. -
I have defended Mario since the media started bitching and moaning about his fridge and would not give him a break at all when he had a broken hand. Having said that: (1) Is anyone willing to bet the millions of dollars that we would have to pay him next year (without a pay cut or cutting him) that he has not or will not mail it in -- especially when we can spend that money on others like Cordy Glenn who came back to the team after losing a kidney? (2) Pretty much anyone on this board could replicate Mario's production this year.

Mario Williams: "Bills' personnel doesn't fit Scheme"
Peter replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mario took his money and stopped playing. That is on Mario. If you are saying Rex is not a great defensive mind, we disagree 100%. As for coaches and their reputations, of course it helps in football and in every other sport to have good players. Bill Belichick is an absolute genius . . . . . . in large measure because he has Tom Brady as his QB. He is still a great coach, but it certainly helps to have the most important position on the team settled for the past several years. -

Mario Williams: "Bills' personnel doesn't fit Scheme"
Peter replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have defended Mario for his entire time in Buffalo - up until this year. Scheme in no way explains or justifies Mario quitting on his team and collecting a huge paycheck to do walk throughs in games. Rex has had his back. It is a shame that Mario continues to through his coaches under the bus in Mario's desperate attempt to justify his lack of production. In football, it sort of helps to have good football players.
