  1. If Pettine leaves, I guarantee that Henderson gets the job. He's very popular with the players and they won't have to change the playbook. No doubt in my mind Henderson is our new defensive coordinator.
  2. Donnie Henderson is perched outside of Marrone's office right now, binder in hand.
  3. Uh oh. The Bills main page on BuffaloBills.com just shifted to a lead story about the Bills being "prepared" in case Pettine leaves. What's interesting is that they already posted this story yesterday...now it gets bumped to the front page. *dun dun dun*
  4. *cracks knuckles* Okay, here is my very early mock offseason. I reserve the right to change and edit this post every few minutes, dependent on team happenings. Re-Sign ---------- S Jairus Byrd (Duh), 5 year deal K Dan Carpenter, 2 year deal DE Alex Carrington, 1 year deal LB Arthur Moats, 2 year deal OL Thomas Welch, RFA WR Chris Hogan, RFA Release / Choose Not To Re-Sign ------------------------------------------- TE Scott Chandler S Jim Leonhard TE Mike Caussian OT Erik Pears (2.9 million in savings) QB Kevin Kolb (3.1 million in savings) Unrestricted Free Agents -------------------------------- WR Kenny Britt, 1 year deal TE Brandon Pettigrew, 3 year deal OT/OG Rodger Saffold, 5 year deal (our "big" free agent signing, can play at either RT or LG) LB Mike Neal, 3 year deal NFL Draft ------------- 1) Sammy Watkins, WR out of Clemson 2) Kyle Van Noy, OLB out of BYU 3) Gabe Jackson, OG out of Mississippi State 4) C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE out of Iowa 5) Storm Johnson, RB out of Central Florida 6) Connor Shaw, QB out of South Carolina 7) Kenarious Gates, OT/OG out of Georgia
  5. Man...see, I would actually take a flier on Kenny Britt. I know the guy is kind of a head case but you sign him to a one year or two year deal? That's worth it in my books.
  6. Looks like we'll know by the end of the day. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/01/22/report-pettine-to-hear-from-browns-by-days-end/
  7. I'm really torn on drafting a WR so early this year. I honestly like our crop (even if Stevie is kicked to the curb) and there are some decent free agents available as well. Not denying the talent of guys like Evans or Lee, I just feel like we could spend our picks better along the O-Line and then snag a WR and TE in free agency for some veteran stability at those very young positions (especially if we let Chandler walk which I think we will). I'm thinking an OT prospect like Cyrus Kouandijo or EJ's former teammate OT Cameron Erving for our first rounder. Both guys can play both Tackle or Guard, showing the versatility that our staff likes, and would be a starter at RT or RG from the first day of camp.
  8. I've actually seen a few fantasy football projections that have him running all over us tonight. We'll see.
  9. Everyone can now go into this game with the utmost confidence. Jake "The Snake" Roberts has predicted us to win. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/23966009/nfl-week-5-picks-jake-the-snake-roberts-likes-seahawks-pats Trust him.
  10. Seems like we are going to have quite the Bills contingent in the stands...lot of Bills fans it seems are making the trip.
  11. We're definitely not getting any love by the media going into this game. All the experts picking the Browns, we're very clearly an afterthought. Just the way I like it.
  12. My parents still live in Ballston Lake, I was born and raised there actually. I'm willing to bet we could easily put together a new Bills Backers Club in the Capital Region.
  13. Nope, finally did the mature thing and bought my first house up in Wilton, NY. Now I'm rooted here.
  14. Nice thoughts on EJ...but man, those two are some of the worst announcers in football right now. They called the game when the Bills upset the Patriots with about as much excitement as someone taking your order over the drive-thru speaker at Burger King. "Looks like the Bills scored" "Yup" "...you want a vanilla milkshake with that?"
  15. The Chiefs will snag one of the Wild Card spots. Their schedule is beyond cupcake, they will easily cruise to at least 10-6 on the year. Then they'll get promptly crushed in the playoffs...but hey, just making it there is an accomplishment.
  16. Per BB.com. Congrats Mario! Keep it up this week against the Jets!
  17. Pro Football Focus @PFF Leodis McKelvin leads the league with 26 targets, but he's allowed only 10 catches for 111 yards. 0 TDs 5 PDs That, my friends, is truly astounding. Keep up the awesome work Leo!
  18. According to ESPN, Marrone let the team know about every single prediction that the "experts" made this week about the Patriots crushing the Bills.
