It's also painful listening to some who knows nothing about dirt racing yet push there storyline based on hearing a "revving" engine. As if it can be construed as a criminal act. maybe so, but doubtful in this accident. in the end its all about burning some time for me during a long day. hopefully it is for others too. personally i could care less if Stewart jumps off a bridge tonight. he's a certified douche. But, where exactly did I say anything is "true" regarding a statement I heard? i did not! But, I can say this it was not from some media speculating, I simply cannot remember the source, and believe me have zero reason to spew BS on a message board. That is not what I do. I like very fast street cars, or hyper cars as they are sometimes referred to now. that's my interest here. Sprint racing bores me. Relax Dude.
-
Of course not. but, it is either upthread by me with a source (i know longer remember though), by his pit crew who he obviously spoke with before he was interviewed by law enforcement. Or the Sherrifs spokesman. i cannot again remember which. The Nascar channel is providing a lot if not most of this stuff. Could have seen it there. Usually do not watch that channel but a lot of racers are chiming in with there more knowledgeable opinions than say a guy like me. All of which are very interesting. BTW not a one has yet to even point a finger at him in the accident. Which of course means nothing. So you know everything that has been said why question me? You know it all sir!

I get your point, but man he has been a pro racer for quite awhile owns many championships. if he is that on the edge, he has no business being in the sport. As for honking the horn (or worse flipping off) for us especially depending on where you live. That is more of a conditioned response. In pro racing I would guess one has to be a little bit more in control. Since during a race there must be countless times a driver could/ can lose it. if I own a team he is not the driver I want. Unless they are teammates i cannot picture many of these drivers going out together for a beer or 4 after a race.

If I could change 1 thing about E J

Well, they are doing the same thing with their current starter. zero competition. But I get it he has onlyPlayed 10 games in the NFL and was hurt for the rest. So massage his ego and tell him he's the man. is there anywhere else where this has worked? Seriously do not know. Winning teams don't do this. if he goes down with a serious injury this year then what? Does anyone think the backups can win even 2 in a row. the season Will be flushed, along with a bunch of jobs on OBD. Honestly, I would have no problem with that either. The rebuild is 14+ years, what is 4-5 more going to hurt. The TJ Graham pick and they moved up for it, may be worse than signing Merriman. No it is worse, we could have had a darn good QB. The question is could they have developed him. -
Greed, which will be the collapse of the league eventually. How many corporate ticket holders will care or buy tickets In Buffalo? new ownership unless they not only save the team from leaving. cannot keep tickets at price levels that for some teams are where they were in the early ninety's. $25 or $30 endzone seats. are you kidding me. At jarrah's palace a obstructed view standing only seat is over $100. Who made this policy? brandon? he may be gone despite the wonderful 14 losing seasons he has been a part of since he was hired. Forget his awesome regionalization job. he sells a garbage product year after year. Just like if a new stadium is ever built. How many people in WNY would pay for PSL's? My guess is not many. The exonomy cannot support those things.

RIP Actor Robin Williams

Might be safe to say you have never lost a friend or a family member to suicide. Suicide at 63 is a tragedy and no less than any other age. Depression as others have talked about is brutal. Your getting hammered comments suck BTW. -

I do, I lived on 10th during my schooldays which was a long time ago. There was nothing like that in the East Village period. Good Luck! A friend is taking her daughter to NYC in October maybe I can convince them to stop in for a drink. -
I love snapper. Espcially if it's fresh!

Watching the sheriffs presser yesterday. it was at that one he said something to the effect that and these are my words. We have no experience at this sort of accident investigation on a racetrack with professionals. if anyone has experience in this area we would like to talk. Again that is my translation. So in effect he was saying we are in over our heads here, And, there is no precedent with law enforcement. So if and when a civil case is started since there will be only experts available to testify. My guess is those experts would be people With a heavy racing background Especially in cars with no tranny in a mud pit. The DA also would simply have to find someone who Could prove that this had accident was the result of intent to harm. They have no other choice unless by some chance the DA is former pro sprint car racer. To even re create the accident it will be very hard. What is kind of important to remember is these guys raced several times before on tracks there was zero history of any incidents. That I believe is confirmed. So, remembering that Stewart is now part owner of a racing team, has an estimated wealth of 70 million. is older since he used to pull his douchebag acts. With all that on the line It to me anyways makes no sense to jeopardize it all by trying to be a jerk or teach him a lesson. Stewart it has been reported didn't even know why the yellow flag came out nor did he know Ward had hit the wall until he drove that final lap. These guys are running on extreme addreline, nerves, ego and whatever else. They all have micro fast reflexes. i do not think he can be held accountable for anything even if accelerating to miss him was the wrong move. or if he even saw him with anymore than a second to react. the family will maybe go after him since as a racer he does have somewhat deep pockets. But the legal system is looking like They are strictly doing their job, and making sure they cannot ever be accused of poor investigating by the family and find themselves in a lawsuit.

RIP Actor Robin Williams

here's my little story on Robbin. Living in the bay area during the 80's the comedy club scene exploded in the city and to some extent the burbs including Marin and Sonoma county's. While Williams played at virtually all the benefits for musicians, actors, charitable causes, they were typically attended by large crowds in larger venues. Warfield, Golden Gate park, Marin civic center, on and on. They were great but more "reserved" than his impromptu nutcase unannounced performances. the real gem performances was him showing up at a small club, comedy, or music. and typically waiting until late in the evening and coming on stage, unannounced, completely unprepared without doing his stand up usual routine be because by then he was leaving stand up for greener pastures. We once even saw him totally lubricated at an italian restaurant in. occidental Ca. Called Negris for those that know the area. And though never spending any real time chatting with him. i did get to shake his hand and proclaim " you are effing nuts you know that though" He was always charming and would hug my wife. A group of friends would all keep ears open being pre internet tubes and all. And would call each other with the Williams report. meaning where he was rumored to turn up on any given evening. A lot of them were correct since the other comedians would find out, consider it an honor and word would spread quickly. Smart club owners in the marina district would also let it leak out. His drinking hangouts were in Larkspur and Mill Valley. its taken me awhile to write this since his death. I consider him one of the greatest comedians of all time. And after watching the "golf" video about twenty times last night and today on you tube decided to just at this site write a few words on a great man that fought demons for as long as we knew of him on Northern California. i am sure others here were also at some of these insane performances by him. RIP ROBIN! -
You want to know why you sometimes sound well uneducated in motor racing. First because you appear to know nothing.here's just one reason since you mention this in almost all of tour posts There is a huge difference in "revving" and " accelerating" which was Stewart doing when he came on the moron on A racetrack? Would what he did be construed as an evasive maneuver by professionals or even casual fans in dirt track racing in mud?
-
It sounds like this will take awhile to sort out. Now and it is unconfirmed rumor, the changing out hisRear right tire in the pits has resurfaced. Apparently some witnesses claim they had to put a rear left in its place? Again this all unconfirmed rumor. IT almost seems impossible really. back to the camera it would seem the pit crew would know what the story is. And, Both cars were impounded.
-
I thought I said it is up on TMZ I rechecked and it is. page Two. i cannot link. there was NO camera WEO!Both drivers typically used Go Pros ( man they are awesome BTW) but for some reason they both did not use them the other nite. Good fodder for a conspiracy theory though as towhy they did not. Also some sprint officials mentioned the two had raced several times previously without incident of any kind.

SJ13 is Awesome!! I am so glad he is gone. -
No audio, No video from either drivers car exists. There was none ever. That is the reason the Sheriff made the request if any spectators Had footage. So far a big zero. Source TMZ This will all be history within a day or two. As it should be. if some on this board had their say. Stewart would be swinging from the gallows by now. sadly, for no reason whatsoever.

Get yer eyes checked ASAP!!! Lol

Same semi annual story, just a different writer. When are these shluck politicians going to demand these super fund sights get cleaned up? besides some tax breaks, what else is there to not only attract employers but employees? as anyone with kids or were raised in Buffalo and left as a kid. We all know Buffalos greatest Export is young people. potential talent for the work force. Why stay? Well besides an awesome football team. The bleeding of young talent IMO is gaining speed not slowing down.

I am a FI fan, but do watch some nascar. But really I think the word here is passion for something you love. And there are sports people entertainers, anyone, who when there passionate for what they do they do it at many levels. An example when he was in the NFL why would brett Favre throw to the local high school receivers offseason Why does Charlie Watts worth around 300 mil, play in a band that draws a couple hundred people. When He is Not touring with the rolling Stones? I Say passion for what they love. these drivers live on adrenaline. Sprint cars for him are just maybe a buzz and to stay sharp. Again he has Done that circuit for years. I think he would rather do that than sit on his couch before a Nascar race. if sprint had spotters or radios this most likely would not have happened. he would have got word a out of control kid Was on the track. I seriously doubt Stewart thought This kid would be waiting for him on a racetrack on his next lap. is he a hot head, angry jerk. yep, racing is Not for the faint of heart. Big egos are just part of the sport. IMO these guys do not flinch easily when in a Nascar race there closing in on 200MPH a few inches off the car in front. IMO that takes balls. BTW i think Tony Stewart is worth north of 70 mil so he can afford this. Putting his Life on the line in a sprint car race I don't think ever crosses these guys mind.
-
Dumb hillbilly? Good 'ol boy network protecting him? Tony stewart has run the sprint circuit his whole life.In 2013 he almost lost his life in sprint car racing, or so I have been told. Your opinion appears to have zero knowledge Of what and why these guys race. But it does have inflammatory comments towards a sport you have no knowledge of. A two bit event? Really? Sounds like a hillbilly statement.

I don't think Clowney had an unimpressive start. When you line up next to JJ Watt well stuff happens. One of the two of them will get the sack. watt just happened to be the guy. I don't think any team is looking froward to those two this year. -
