Cowher wants the Bills job
Best Player Available replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The chin has been adamant since his wife died he is done with coaching. He has said it in print and on pre game shows for years. He now has a new girlfriend and is puttng his personal life back together. i believe but don't have a link he makes just about the same amount Rex does with broadcasting gigs. Which job sounds more appealing? -
Scheter saying that Pegula said he had complete confidence in Rex Ryan and that this is his team. The whole segment was around 5 minutes before the replay of the game which is on now. I would guess there may be a team statement regarding this soon. Since that crap fest and Romans firing demands some kind of statement officially from ownership. idiots like Whaley are too far down the food chain too spin this in an interview. This team is in upheaval. Good thing the tickets are already sold for the year.

Thats the exact opposite of what Pegula said TODAY. Source NFLN.

Even calling it a "team" is a stretch. More like a few skill players getting oversized games checks with little to zero interest in their team succeeding. shady is a great example, And then,a bunch of friggin scrubs drafted by Whaley put on a pedestal by some fans when they are basically barely functioning NFL caliber players. Funny how come Rex never knows Watkins condition? I understand coaches being vague for obvious reasons but he always defers and says " you will have to ask him". If Sammy goes out for multiple games. There is not a single player capable of taking over. That said Sammy hasn't done crap anyways. But I don't think that is on him at all. The culture of constant fail has not changed even slightly going back all the way to Philips. He was the last competent Bills HC untill he got screwed over by the owner. For the most childish of reasons.

The media had already almost stopped talking about the Bills after Sundays laugher. the only reason the Bills got press this week was because of a prime time Thursday game. But even that coverage was all negative in regards to Bills football. Now unless they go on a 6-0 run. They will be a running joke until playoffs begn. By then they will be rightfully forgotten. I thnk they should have cleaned house today and fired Rex & Rob too. this season is done. Get it over with and start a new era. Because sooner or later those clowns are gone.

Dump Wrex, Hire Coughlin?
Best Player Available replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IDK Reed has been a position coach for what 2 months? I wonder where his strengths/weakness lie as a coach or if he even has formed coaching strategies yet. Being a hard ass alone won't cut it. (see Mike singletary) -
Chad Kelly= too much baggage. nephew of the greatest QB in franchise history. man those are some big shoes to fill, because the comparisons would start before he hit the stage on draft night. That said it appears he does not have the maturity to be a QB Named Kelly in Buffalo. Last and certainly not least he is a confirmed douchebag. Although I can see Russ Brandon being on board with selling the farm to get him.

How is Pegula going to salvage this mess?
Best Player Available replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pegula is new too the NFL he also experienced somewhat similar issues when he purchased the Sabres. pegula for his current NFL woes needs simply one guy he can trust to right this flaming dung heap. who that guy may be is anyones guess. one thing is certain that guy is not currently working on OBD.And on the outside anyone named Polian should be rejected. Besides finding that person both kim's and his job should then be simply too sign the checks. Everyone likes the new owners. sadly like their current football employees they are clueless which is to be expected. Although hailed as the hero he is. And too an extent by saving not one but two franchises from leaving town. Make no mistake he is not in this whole "One Buffalo" thing for charity. which is fine. he has done amazing things in Buffalo, with more on the way. I would hope like his other business interests he will find a very competent top executive and let him do his thing. Those searches and meetings should be held without any of the Bills current executives in the room. In the end he is still one of only 32 owners of a very exclusive club. He will get to enjoy and profit from what that brings. But with the Bills horrific 21st century failures, and too even mention the word "continuity" by keeping this version top to bottom of the Bills together is futile. Because in reality this season is done already. keeping the clown show togehter past January will prove disastrous.and prolong continued failure on the field, the never ending media thrashings ( they are not being kind today in particular the Ryan bros.) and fan pain. -
Ragland, Dareus, Lawson, Lawson
Best Player Available replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think to much weight is given to the rookie High draft picks of both Lawson or Ragland (who at sometime will end up before being a 2 down player). These players as much hope and hype thrown their way have yet to take a single snap in the NFL. Not to mention both came with questions marks either health related or speed. No wonder whaley & Rex just thought they stole the crown jewels. No,one else had them ranked that high. If you are referring to these guys as marquee players? I think it is a tad premature yet possible. -
Chip Was Right About Shady
Best Player Available replied to Madd Charlie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last year the rookie RG Miller was given a pass for getting owned on various occasions because he was a rookie learning the job. What's OBD's excuse this year? A sophomore slump? At times he looks lost. As for right tackle (and moving Glenn there) well i seriously doubt anyone that brings that up too the coaches would be laughed out of the room. This team since the day Whaley took pver has had o-line (and qb) problems. The left side is very Good though. Big thanks to cogs. -

I think he just turned 28. But he is in major decline or doesn't give a crap. I'll go with both. -
I agree, but they will get taken too the woodshed on value. Because anyone worth trading comes with some kind of baggage or the insane contracts. Example is Dareus easily a first round trade talent. Except he is one bong hit away from a major suspension and has a contract no one would want with that in mind. Another is Kyle Williams his only problem is age and price. Shady? LOL! Who's left that would fetch anything but a 6 or 7th round conditional pick?

Dump Wrex, Hire Coughlin?
Best Player Available replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
coughlin is what 70. Owns 2 rings and doubtful he would at his age want to jump into a complete dumpster fire with a current coaching/managing philophsy 180 degrees different than his. meaning a complete rebuild. I cannot even picture a situation coughlin could work with Whaley. Whaley for all the love and comments on perceived talent he has assembled on this team. Well, There is nothing past a couple of players worth a dam. And they where here before him. Some reserves ( and a starter) on this roster wouldn't even be in the league if not for Whaley. Coughlin would not touch a 3-5 year rebuild at his age . But throwing big bucks at him to consult and identify staff that can draft, etc. and a staff that actually would hold the players and coaches alike responsible may have merit. Honestly zeroing in on some players last night.it seems they play in Buffalo for one reason only to collect a game check or stay in the league for one last year. Reggie Bush? Lol! Imo the BS that this team (and coaches)'is in 100%, and Rex is a "players coach" is laughable. Last night was the worst game i have seen since tampa 2014. No one is held accountable. The ryan bros, some positional coaches, the oc are clueless in understanding the 2016 NFL game. At times they looked like complete amateurs out there. Expansion team type incompetence. The guy assembling this talent is in way over his head. It starts there. He blows. He is pressing and chooses perceived talent over character. He has ZERO vision and is simply plugging holes instead of assembling a contender. How is that working out? The Bills and some of the fanbase would fall over just to make the playoffs much less win a silly wild card game. Fun fact: the last playoff win for the Bills was in 1995. Eff the playoff drought. Think about that friggin 1995. A wild card win. WTF? Brandon Marshall to Rex pre-game: "i'm going to kick your butt tonite" Rex post game: " he was right he did" -

Is Russ Brandon to Blame?
Best Player Available replied to Dorkington's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well i,guess i understand what you are saying. i go back to I am sure Pegula was well aware of the years of fail. To include Brandon's stint as GM and in the end Ralph's right hand man and voice. Based on the results Brandon Achieved (or lack thereof) One would think the new owner would be a tad skeptical on advice from Russ on anything football related. And weight Brandons opinions accordingly. But he is new too the NFL so who knows....... -
Is Russ Brandon to Blame?
Best Player Available replied to Dorkington's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So a billionaire businessman needed russ to help the GM and himself hire a key staff member? I just get the feeling Pegula has done and seen that many more times than Russ Brandon. In fact since the arguement has turned too he was just "there" but had no final say. And taught a billionaire businessman that when you get the guy you want. "Don't let him leave the room" I'll go out on a limb and say Pegula is well aware of this brilliant strategy. -
I would kick youse
