  1. Maybe your name isn't all that comes up.
  2. That sucks. I was planning to work half a day Friday, then drive up to Erie. I may have to take the whole day off now.
  3. I haven't heard of any plans to have a meeting this week. Man, that's a sure sign of how bad things have gotten.
  4. I like Jean-Gilles. I know he's had some issues in terms of conditioning and still has some trouble w/ athletic interior pass rushers, but overall, he's a great prospect. He's big, moves pretty well for a guy his size (6-4, 340) and is a mauler. His pass protection, which was a weak point for him, has gotten much better this year and he has remained healthy, which is always a plus for big OL.
  5. We're coming down another hill now: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
  6. True. We should stay away from all Outland Trohpy winners. They suck.
  7. As Mack Brown himself would say: "No he isn't; it's Vince Young who is the best player in college and he plays on the best team in college football. Hear me, voters? It's Vince Young! Vince!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!"
  8. He's going to Zales?
  9. I think VY is Yiddish for 'homerism' or something like that.
  10. That goes against our policy.
  11. There will be new posters on the Stadium Wall.
  12. Nah. It's just easier to sit back and attack suggestions.
  13. Dick Vermeil (sniff, sniff)?
  14. Considering McGahee's yards per rush average and the unending 8 or 9 man fronts the Bills see, I'm thinking they do 'try it'.
  15. I'm not sure if I think he'd be the best choice for the team, but I think anyone that can go from Wisconsin's 'cloud of dust' offense to Reid's West Coast scheme has to be somewhat adaptable, right?
  16. You could be right. The right guy, especially if he can recruit well, can change the fortunes of a team. I'm not saying they'll be the next USC or anything like that, but maybe w/ a guy who can recruit and is a good coach in terms of preparing his players and in devising schemes, they might be a team that can compete to the point that they aren't a laughingstock.
  17. So that's it! Screw getting linemen, safeties, TEs, new coaching schemes, new management/ownership philosophies, or any of that stuff; just run the ball more! That's the ticket.
  18. What an interesting struggle that was; the battle for the most coveted award in the history of awards! Seriously though, I think Bush is clearly the best player in college football, so he did deserve the award. Now, the real award will come on draft day for whoever the top pick is: the big signing bonus!! $$$ Orlando Pace may have gotten denied the Hypeman in his last year @ Ohio State, but he got the top overall pick, as he should have, and the big bucks also. I still think it was a joke that he didn't win the Hypeman that year, as he's the one who gave linemen a stat: the pancake block. He was as dominant as any player I've had the chance to see play, but because he didn't play a glamour position, he was denied. In hindsight, I'm sure he doesn't care much though. He's done quite enough in the NFL to justify himself as one of the best to play his position. Bush, barring injury, should be entertaining as an NFL back. I think the best way to describe him is "Marshall Faulk, but faster. MUCH faster!"
  19. Or maybe they're alcoholics?
  20. That's what the 2nd round of the draft is for.
  21. Someone beat you to it.
  22. Kinda goes back to that whole "evaluating talent" thing, doesn't it?
