  1. San Jose Sharks have said no fans until after March.
  2. Absolutely! This was the smart thing to do. Pro leagues will be following suit soon. Stringent actions are required to get ahead of this. Especially because we were slow to move on this initially.
  3. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2020/03/11/coronavirus-covid-19-response-hurt-by-shortage-testing-components/5013586002/
  4. This is shameful. Also read an article that test kits received are missing components needed for comprehensive testing which is skewing results. Time for me to check my own cynicism.
  5. I could have sworn it had something to do with handling dates and unleavened bread.
  6. Didn’t Jesus say something about the hand washers in his sermon on the mount?
  7. Our health care system has the potential to be just as overwhelmed if we don’t start adhering to stringent policies as well. We’ve been playing catch up since this thing started it seems; reactive vs. proactive. Say a prayer for the care givers.
  8. So far, so good with regards to Kahun. But Johansson has no business playing center. None. At. All.
  9. So, today the WHO officially declared the CoVID-19 spread as “pandemic.” Is that an “overblown” reaction? Is the media creating fear by reporting that? Is that their goal? Really? Nonsense. Our biggest vulnerability to this outbreak is the shear amount of cynicism towards those in charge of mitigating its damage and the media responsible for informing us of those efforts.
  10. The word “yet” is the qualifier; the legit question detector? I’ve actually asked that question of you previoisly and you didn’t want to answer me then, either. Thus the word, ”yet.” If you really understood the difference between a QB and a passer, you’d stop citing passing stats like they’re the be all, end all in all of your posts on the subject. The rest of your response is just more hypocritical, sanctimonious crap. Talk about arrogance.
  11. Spare us the self righteous indignation. I asked a legitimate question about your understanding of the difference between being a passer and being a quarterback and you chose to reply with snark. Your hypocrisy is noted.
  12. Right. So I’ll take that to mean you haven’t. You will enhance your understanding of the game when you do.
  13. So, have you figured out the difference between a passer and a quarterback yet?
  14. Because pandemics require the actions and interactions of governments and the various agencies under their administrations, they are inherently political. That’s always been the case and always will be. The key is to be adults about it.
  15. I thinks it’s much ado about nothing. Eichel very rarely posted anything on either platform and when he did it was usually about hockey or the Pats***. I can see disgruntled fans posting unsolicited crap to his account though. I’d close my accounts, too, for that reason alone if I used either social media sites.
  16. Oh, no doubt. It’s just that they do this year after year after year. Ever since Bylsma in fact.
  17. Ouch. That says a lot more about mentally weak players than it does their talent level. Every year, post all star break when the games get tighter as teams gear up for the stretch and get into playoff mode, this team crumbles. That’s gonna be a lot harder to fix than just by adding new players.
  18. My belief is that our understanding of things is always pretty narrow compared to what we don’t know and is yet to be discovered.
  19. Be that as it may, JBotts was in a hurry to get the deal done before ROR’s $7m bonus came due in that July. ROR’s cap hit was gonna come off the books, regardless, after he was dealt, so I don’t see that as a factor at all. For whatever reason, the Sabres didn’t want to pay out $7m for a player that was out the door and that limited the number of potential trade partners. It makes more sense to me that TPegs wondered why he should give a guy $7m for nothing than it does for JBotts to deliberately limit his options. Just because TPegs is made of money and has had to spend a ton on fired coaches, which is strictly a function of a coach’s contract btw, doesn’t mean he isn’t willing to save $7m when he can.
  20. I might suspect that if it were another player, but Eichel is the last one in that team to come down with that.
  21. Eichel is skating just fine. But whatever it was that prevented him from taking face offs for a couple games has definitely effected his shot. He’s lost his fast ball from the looks of things; no pace on his wrister at all.
