  1. Just win So was the Bills DLine…. if Baltimore is making decisions based on other teams making the playoffs….well, they aren’t. Promise
  2. Leading the league in defense. Leading the league in sacks. Leading the league in turnovers. Leading the league in rushing. 21st in passing yardage. of course passing is important- it’s just not the only thing that matters. You can win in the nfl several different ways nowadays…..but I’ll tell you one thing. If you can’t pressure the QB, you won’t win.
  3. You were the one who used the term “recent”- I guess this is what you do Is it though? The 2 best teams in the league are built on sacking the QB and running the football. pass rush is equally as important. If you don’t have a great pass rusher, you won’t be winning the Super Bowl imo. The chiefs won the SB with JuJu as WR1
  4. Winning super bowls is the only thing that matters. Those that disagree are clueless. Yes, I’m closed minded in this situation
  5. According to whom? I think it’s the only way to evaluate a trade imo. The only thing that matters is winning super bowls. If a trade helps one team get over the top and win a Super Bowl, while the other doesn’t, there’s always a clear winner in my eyes. Having great players means nothing if you don’t win. In this case- Jefferson’s has 4 years in the league with zero playoff wins.
  6. I think this has yet to be determined. I’d be shocked if the number were 7-8 but it is a valuable position. I agree that there is a clear gap between the top 3 and everyone else. Top 3 could all be top 10 picks. I’d be shocked if there were another WR taken ahead of harrison, Nabers and Odunze. But it’s early in the process, you never know Edit: but then again, the raiders could shock the world and take Leggette over one of those 3
  7. And I disagree- Winning super bowls is the ONLY thing that matters. If one team wins one and the other doesn’t- it’s clear who the winner is. we see this in a different light. That’s cool. Agree to disagree.
  8. There are several precedents at work with regards to Beane and the draft. personally, I don’t think there’s zero chance of going WR in rd 1 and 2. I’d guesstimate around 5%. looking at our roster for next season (based on current contracts) DL is a massive weakness. Much weaker than WR. We have Ed, Rousseau, von and Jonathan to fill a 8-9 man rotation. 2 are currently good players. Thanks for not answering the question.
  9. It is- the trade isn’t the topic at hand until the goal post was moved into a different country. But since the goal post was moved and people are now trying to make “who won the trade” into the topic- I’ll play. Do you think the Vikings win the trade if they don’t win a SB with Jefferson while the Bills win one with Diggs?
  10. Which has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand-
  11. Exactly- I figured it would be Higgins or Aiyuk. Reagor wasn’t even a thought- yet he was taken before Jefferson. Just nuts
  12. WTH are you even talking about? Talk about moving the goalposts…..good lord bro. I’ve said nothing of the sorts- I never touched on who got the best of the trade. You’re pulling this out of you butt because your original post is 💩. if you’d like my take on who got the better of the trade here it is. It’s multi layered: -If the Vikings win the SB with Jefferson, they got the best of the trade, regardless of if the bills win a SB with Diggs (unless the bills win multiple SBs). - the Bills win the SB with Diggs and the Vikings don’t win one with Jefferson, the Bills got the best of the trade. - if neither team wins a SB with their WR, the Vikings got the best of the trade because they got the best WR in the league and had him on a rookie contract for 5 years. going into that draft, I thought there was, maybe, a 20% chance that Jefferson would’ve fallen to us at 22. Trading for Diggs guaranteed that we would land an bonafide WR1. There would be no hoping or luck. Beane took the bull by the horns and made a trade that transformed us from a wild card caliber team to a Super Bowl contender. Meanwhile, Minnesota has missed the playoffs in 3 of Jefferson’s 4 seasons and has zero playoff wins.
  13. You’re arguing that the Vikings knew JJ would be the best WR in the league. That’s the post that you quoted and rebutted……. So, at this moment, do the Bills know that Kincaid will be the best TE in the league? when teams draft players in the 20’s most don’t think that they are drafting the leagues best at their position. Sure, they think that they’ll be good…..but that’s different. You seem to be arguing that the Vikings knew they were drafting the best WR in the league when they drafted him. You can stand on that hill because there will never be proof to prove one side or the other. It’s just a strange hill to stand on
  14. Agreed. I think he’s a great offensive mind. Might be best served as a career OC. Time will tell, but I can see why some Miami fans can’t stand him. Please don’t allow this to come to life. Our collective hearts would not be able to endure this scenario
  15. My guess is Cleveland (to reunite with stefanski) or the ravens (who have Melvin gordon on their team)
  16. Because if they KNEW he was going to be the best WR in football, they wouldn’t have sat there and hoped that the eagles (who everyone knew needed a WR) would draft Jaelon Reagor. No one had Reagor rated ahead of Jefferson (except Roseman apparently). He fell into their laps. They were very lucky. Don’t get me wrong, I thought he was going to be a very good WR at worst with upside for greatness. But what @BillsFanForever19 said “no one knew Justin Jefferson was going to be Justin Jefferson”…..Aka the best WR in the league. It can never be proven either way, but if minny thought he was the best WR in the entire league, I think they would’ve traded up. ceedee lamb was taken at 18- then 2 major reaches in Austin Jackson and Damon Arnette. Minny could have traded up. They didn’t. The “you can’t prove me wrong” argument.
  17. Easy- if teams knew he was going to be the best WR in the league, he wouldn’t have slipped to 22. 4 teams drafted other WRs over him. I think it’s safe to say exactly what @BillsFanForever19 said. No one knew Justin Jefferson would become the best WR in the league.
  18. And yet, somehow, the great Howie Roseman took Jaelon Reagor over Jefferson.
  19. If I’m them, I’d make sure to get my hands on one of the top 8 QBs in this draft. Let Tua play out the 5th year. Use the franchise tag 1-2 times if he stays healthy and plays well. By that time. They’ll know what they have and if he’s worth it. They’ll also know if their 2024 draft pick is worthy of a shot
  20. Just because you don’t recall it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Rewatch the KC game. He had 2 pressures on 3rd down that led to incompletions mid game and then he took Mahomes down the play after Toney’s Offside. Mahomes got rid of the ball just as he was about to hit the ground. Josh Allen probably would’ve been called for grounding in the play. other than those plays, he hasn’t done much of anything- I agree. He’s been bad. It’s most likely my lack of belief in Jonathan coupled with my belief that Von Miller will be a capable player at some point. I don’t know when that will be, but the playoffs would be ideal. again, I get why everyone would rather have him on the bench. When he’s bad, he’s bad.
