And all you have to realize is…… that doesn’t mean a dam thing. It only means that they played well for 8 plays. Sure they could keep it up. Or our D could also step up and make plays. The crappy Cinci OL showed you 8 plays. They were going to get bested on, at least, a handful of plays. Those plays can lead to turnovers and end drives. 8 plays is 8 plays. You can’t draw any conclusions based on 8 plays. Any sane human being would tell you the same. but yeah, Cinci played well on O for 8 plays. Our O did exactly what they needed to for 10 plays and then S Brown missed a blitzer and Josh/Cole misfired. Cinci would inevitably have drives that end in similar fashion. And our offense would inevitably score more than a couple TDs.

It was a terrible comparison imo. For SOME NFL caliber football players, football is not a job. For many, it is just that. It’s a means to an end. And end of working for a living and providing for their family. Several NFL players have already achieved that could retire right now and not have to worry about money again.

Very strange and stupid comparison. Cars aren’t what would be scary- people driving is what is scary. if you plan on leaving your house, ever…..to anywhere, 90%+ of the population will be doing so in some sort of a vehicle on a road…..with other drivers. So unless you want to be confined to your house for life…..you have to get over that fear. Football is a job. A way to make money. There are millions of other ways to make money. If you were to give up football, you can still leave your house and go places. You’d just get another job. If you gave up being on a road, we’ll that requires a drastic change of life that most wouldn’t be able to endure.

But you must’ve missed those 8 plays. Those 8 plays were different

They executed well for 8 plays- We executed well for 10 plays- then brown didn’t pick up a blitz for an incompletion and Allen threw a high pass that Beasley could’ve come down with, but didn’t. let’s not act like the bengals would’ve executed everything to perfection the entire game because they did on their first 8 plays. this thread is 💩 3- no contest- both teams finish the season with 16 games 4- rule it a tie- really doubt that happens.

I was ignorant you said “what has changed?” Well, the players watched as their brother potentially died from taking a forceful hit while at work. yes, they know that there’s a chance…..but EVERYTHING changes when you see that. 8 plays bruh. 8. We blitzed on their 2 biggest plays….. and that likely wouldn’t have continued if continued to get beat. We blitz less than anyone….. just stop with this absolute NONSENSE Things would have changed with regards to our D. Our offense looked great.

Agreed. And barely that. Charvarious Ward does that to every WR he covers on just about every play. I watched him in detail Vs the raiders. What Tre did was a penalty…… but it’s also a play that guys get away with on almost every play. The officials discretion is the only thing that really matters with regards to the rule book most of the time

Have you ever seen someone potentially die in front of you while they are doing the same job as you? Life experience isn’t in a vacuum. Many of these guys are already set for life. For many NFL players, football is a means to support their families. Once you’re set for life, why risk your life? Some love the game so much that this won’t have an effect of their careers. Some may not. everyone has their own view of life and how they want to live the rest of it. If I saw my brother potentially lose his life in front of me while doing our jobs, I may consider another job. The thought of something can be much different than witnessing something first hand. if I had multimillions in the bank, I would owe it to my family to, at the very least, give it some thought

I was thinking the same as this was going on. Specifically about Tre. I could see him retiring after this. He almost sat out during covid and is an extreme family man that has generational wealth. Poyer is out there on a torn mcl and battered elbow with no guaranteed money for next year. Risking his livelihood for the team. Hyde had neck surgery…..and was contemplating returning to play this season. Demars childhood best friend, Dane, had a neck injury and was motionless and taken off in an ambulance Taron was consisted just minutes before. Our team is a close and loving family. Our secondary room is even closer knit than our team is. Lots of ❤️ between them. I can only imagine what this men are thinking right now. I’ve tested up a couple times this morning thinking about the pain so many are going through, let alone Demars family and friends. 🙏🏻

The bengals had 8 plays on offense….. an nfl game has multiple twists and turns. Game plans change. Coaches adjust. We can’t tell much of anything based on what we saw.
