I agree- I think it’s up there with pass rusher and S next in line. This could be the last year for Poyer and hyde- their only replacement may not play again- I don’t count Zane Anderson as a potential replacement. AJ and basham suck- we have Von off acl surgery and Rousseau- it’s a need.

I hear ya. I like robinsons agility for a dude that big. Great explosion and maximizes yards. I think Gibbs could be a top 3-5 back in the league depending on where he ends up. He’s really impressive to me. Haven’t really dig in and watched many this year. Now that we have Harris, I don’t think we’d go RB before rd 6.

He looked great. I don’t remember anyone saying he wasn’t a very good/great back. Just that he wasn’t worth taking in rd 1. Especially when there were 2 backs very close in ability (Walker- and he was a a stud too). The jets didn’t think he was worth a frost rd pick either. They passed on him 3 times before pulling the trigger on the trade. as you know. I don’t think he proved that he was worthy of our first rd pick. Elam made the biggest play of the game to help up win in KC and James cook average 5.7 ypc.

I would hate it but I’d love it at the same time. I don’t think he’s remotely good enough as a TE but he just brings a different dynamic that no one else in the draft (maybe in the league) brings to the table (blocking). I think he’d be the ultimate red zone weapon. Blocking or receiving- he’d be a problem at the goal line. Might not be the best value and would have a LOT invested in TE, but he could change the offense I’d much rather draft Dalton Kincaid but I don’t think he’ll be there.

Yeah, I’d be happy with that but I’d really consider Anton Harrison rd 1. I think he’s actually my #1 target at this point. But that could change tomorrow 😉 I just think he’s the best pass blocker available be a decent margin. Having an elite pass blocker on Josh’s right side would be such a treat. trade for Hopkins- draft harrison (or wright) and trade up into rd 2 to secure Campbell, Simpson or Sanders. i’d be very excited if we could pull that off.

I think RT should be considered our 3rd biggest need behind Mike and WR2. Beane may not think so….but I think he has too much false hope in Brown. RT was Allens biggest enemy last year

If the chiefs have an elite OT than so do we. 20M a year doesn’t equal elite.

I’m talking about losing them because we had high level play from their positions. When they leave, odds are, their replacements won’t be as good. Getting less from our defense. looking 2 years down the road, who are the cornerstone defensive players we’ll be counting on? will Milano still be all pro? Will Rousseau reach an elite status? Will Elam, Bernard, Hamlin, Benford become very good starters? All that we’ve put into the DL and we have 1 building block on the DL. in order to keep the defense solid, we’ll need to invest a lot of resources into it again soon. Stack the O while the D still has very good talent and 4 all pro players. The opportunity to make a huge move has presented itself and the price doesn’t seem to be very high. If the price was steep, walking away might be best, but it seems like it’s mainly future cap space. Or play the waiting game and hope for some luck along the way.

Yeah…. The WR draft class is pretty meh for those looking for a 1b/star WR2. This is the best opportunity to get a massive upgrade. Is he the answer? I think he’s an answer. We can win it without a 1b. Of the potential upgrade scenarios I can envision, this move would give us the best opportunity to win a Lombardi over the next two years. I’m in favor of that

It could. but not making the trade will come back to bite us in 2 years if we don’t have a Super Bowl title, Miller, Hyde, Poyer,Tre, Dawkins. The price tag seems to be reasonable, only sacrificing future cap. I think he owes it to Josh to go for it. The kid needs and deserves a Lombardi more than anyone (even us). Getting that monkey off of his back sooner rather than later - he’s not getting any faster or more durable. I do think we could really regret not making this move.

I agree that it’s the best way to upgrade our offense. I really hope it happens. It would get me the most pumped of all possible moves I’m sure I’ll be very excited about the season no matter what happens. You can rob yourself of the excitement of you want. Makes no sense to be bummed before the season plays out. My chiefs fan buddy was bummed when we beat them in KC again this year. He thought we dominated the offseason and were now 1A in the afc. Then the rest of the season happened.
