Yeah, even the non athletic kids are impressive. My buddies son is 13 and has had a qb coach since he was 8. He makes some outstanding throws. Not super athletic but he puts in work. Parents are spending more money than ever on top notch coaching year round. It’s unlikely the qb position ever gets worse. Like you said, the most athletic kids are now putting their time and effort into playing QB. Add that to the additional coaching and technology available now. The QBs will only be getting better with time.

The advantage is having a very happy QB. They’d still play under the 5th year option. The contract will start the following year- no matter what. The longer you wait, the more you will pay for Burrow and Herbert. For QBs that have more question marks regarding their qb ability, it MAY make sense to wait (we’ll see about Lamar), but likely will only cost you more. Yes, Hurts is on a 4 year deal. No 5th year for him, but if they aren’t sure about him and don’t want to commit, they can franchise him. Herbert and Burrow can be franchised too….but there are no doubts about them. They will be the #1 and #2 highest paid very soon imo. Franchising then would just be stupid.

If you were Roseman, you’d have one more year to figure that out.

The kids in college will improve and there will be more. If you think QBs are going to start getting worse over time, I disagree. They’re only getting better and better. See Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence.

Yeah it’s tough. I think our offense has been good but not great. Some expect greatness with 17, but don’t take into considering a bad OL and average WR unit. I don’t dislike him, but he had me worried mid season. Depending on how the O fares in the playoffs, I think his future could be up in the air, but McD will keep him 💯

I think that will be determined following the season. The playoffs is the only season that matters.

The opening day roster. Sure. Once Bosa missed 3/4 of the season and slater missed the entire season that roster wasn’t nearly the same.

Pardon the question if you’ve answered this already, I haven’t read the entire thread. How would you have rectified the situation? Add another afc playoff team this season? That’s the only way to do it, and I agree, that is a simple solution. But then the nfc wildcard eligible teams would cry about not having an extra playoff spot. People mad no matter what. The ONLY FAIR scenario, imo, would’ve been playing week 18 as planned, push the playoffs back a week, bills @ bengals played instead. Eliminate the extra week. But then the NFL loses $….. and that wasn’t going to happen. It’s a done deal. Move on.

Looks like 2 wastes of 2nd rd picks On a positive note, this years 2nd rd pick looks like he could be a difference maker in the playoffs. He might never be a top 5 back due to him being better suited as a committee RB, but he can bust the game open. I hope to see him more involved kn the pass game starting this week
