Allen is the guy I  like. In 2022 and 2023 Allen was considered the centerpiece of Wisconsin's offense. He was heralded as the next Wisconsin stud running back. Bigger more powerful runner but plenty of athleticism. When the Badgers switched to the spread this year it took them awhile to get the offense going. So a little more underrated than what we likely would have seen if they didn't go thru such a huge offensive transition.

Schrader is also hard not to like. Strikes me a process guy thru his bones. He was durable for Mizzo. Great pass catcher as well. I watched his entire performance vs the Volunteers and he stole the show. Impressive what he was able to do against the SEC.

I don’t see Allen as a 5-7 rd guy but I’d be very happy if he fell to us in rd 4

  2. Seem to be a handful of guys that fit the mold we are likely looking for.

My favorite is Dillon Johnson, RB, Washington.  I watched several of his games the last few years and he’s always stood out to me as a guy that maximizes his yards on every touch.  He reminds me of our guy, Fred Jackson.  Can do it all except run away from the pack. Has the ability to wear down a defense

landing him in rd 6 would be great, but if he fine with him in rd 5

  3. The 49er select Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky.

We can’t keep both Deebo and Aiyuk long term and we’ve decided that signing Brandon Aiyuk long term is our play and will move on from Deebo Samuel after this season.  We’ll save 10m in cap and will have his younger and not as injury prone replacement on the roster.  Corley is the perfect replacement

I will be so happy when the draft is over so everyone can stop the 3 month speculation on who we will pick and the board can move on to the important business of  everyone speculating on how those draft picks will do in 5 months 🤣

Why would you eat away all your cap for a receiver that was not even a #1.  Trade up and draft a stud and stop paying big money

lol….what constitutes being the niners #1 WR?  Being the highest paid?  He was absolutely their WR1 last season and their best playmaker other than CMC.  He played outside on the majority of the snaps while the guy you think is their #1 plays the majority of his snaps from the slot.

most targets, most yards, tied for most  TDs all while having the highest y/r.

please explain how he wasn’t even a #1

We'd have one on the big contract and one on cost controlled. Totally doable and most of the other picks could be used towards defense.

    what l

And then we have picks + 25M aav  Aiyuk, 8-10M to Knox, an invested 1st rd pick on Kincaid, 2nd rd pick on Cook, 8m on samuel.  All so we can make shakir our WR4/ target #5/6?.  I don’t buy it.

if we trade for Aiyuk, my money is on us not taking a WR with our 1st rd pick.  We still have to stop people occasionally.

I'd even trade a 2025 second and a couple later pics to ensure the deal gets done, then you could still draft another receiver in the first or second round this year and the whole group would be extremely formidable. I'd even prefer to go best player available in the first round and then move up a good ways in the second round and get the receiver then. Landing Aiyuk would actually give us multiple options and not be forced into anything.

You think we’re going to trade for Aiyuk AND draft a WR with our first or second pick?  I want to add playmakers a much as my one, but I think that would be a poor locations of resources.  Going from not enough emphasis on playmakers over the years too the opposite in one offseason.

if we’re going to be trading our higher future picks for a WR while also paying him huge bucks, we best use some picks on DL, S or even OL.

If kpthe plan is to make sure we outscore every team with no resistance on D, I don’t think we’ll have any chance of winning a SB

They have cap space next year and will get more after June 1st for this year, I would imagine they could make something work with a back loaded deal in terms of salary and void years and then restructure next year so it's not so back loaded... maybe, I'm not sure how it works

They COULD make something work for sure, but it’ll put us right back into cap hell for the next 5 years.  I don’t think that’s the MO.  Extending Diggs to sign Von was the splurge to win a SB the last 2 seasons.  Vons injury ended that version of “all in”.  It’s the next chapter.  Not a rebuild, just the next chapter.

That’s BS.  I wasn’t hostile nor insulting to anyone until people started calling me out.  Is the rule here that Bills fans get to insult fans from other teams without response?

New Era asked for my response to the events.  My response was that he’s not going to serve jail time, and it didn’t impact the Super Bowl odds.  In no way was I being an instigator.

This is hilarious.  You just deleted your first post in this thread….. which was 💯 insulting, referencing Oj and Von Miller.  Which was before anyone called you out.  You just got all butt hurt that your felon team continues its felonious ways.

Once you realized you’re spewing more lies and nonsense, you deleted your post 🤣

What’s changed?  They’ll book him, and that will be that.  This was always going to happen.  I’m curious what you think this means for him.  Go on record.  Do you think he serves time?  Will he play in the NFL this year?

lol.  You claimed it was a 10k fine and a misdemeanor.  Turns out to be 8 felonies.  That changed.  No?

I find it funny that you’re always so prompt in your replies and in your defense of anything KC…. Yet in this instance, @FireChans quoted you several times as the 8 felonies were announced and…….

DALLAS — An arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection to his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 75 in Dallas in late March, sources tell WFAA.

Rice, 23, now faces eight charges in the case -- six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault, according to the arrest warrant. All of the charges are felonies

I am leaning more and more that the Bills should try to trade back into the early 2nd and get back a 3rd rounder. Draft a boundary guy like Legette or roll the dice on a guy like Worthy and grab Tez Walker later.

Same here.  If we could add a 3rd and still land Mcconkey, Legette, Mitchell, Franklin or worthy I’d be happy.

Um, yes. It is indeed "right." You think you're making a point, but it's mine.

Yes, Lotulelei's market value was what he got. More, it was a decent value for the Bills for the first two years until he first took the year off to avoid Covid and then caught Covid and saw it destroy his ability to play football. That's how the market works. You get market value. That's how you know what your market value is, it's what you are predicted to get and if that's confirmed by the actual contract, then yeah, dude, that's the guy's market value.

And you think Trevor Lawrence is going to give the Jags "inferior QB play?" Um, yeah, OK. Right!

And no, no particular reason to think Gabe won't live up to his contract. It could happen. Or not. He could just as easily overperform as underperform. Yes, there are examples of guys underperforming. Thinking that an example of a guy underperforming his contract somehow reflects particularly on Gabe Davis is just purely ridiculous.

Yeah, Gabe's had foot problems. Yet he was solidly productive in spite of that. Same with his career catch rate, he's been quite productive regardless, making a ton of impact plays on relatively limited targets. He gets mostly downfield targets and those always have lower completion percentages, they're harder throws.

Ridley spurning the Jags could and should mean more targets for Gabe.

Yes, I think Trevor Lawrence’s QB play will be inferior to the QB play that got Gabe his bag of money.

lots of people have reason to believe he won’t live up to his contract.  So yes, there are plenty of reasons to believe he won’t to just that.  My very positive and overly confidant jags fan buddy was furious about the signing.

gabe was a huge disappointment in Buffalo the second he became WR2.  We/they/he had expectations for him and none of those expectations were met on the field other than his blocking.  Gabe misses the KC playoff game, no one talks about.  No one cares.  Half of the fans were happy he was out.  95% of the fans that watched every game of his career couldn’t wait for him to play his last game in Buffalo.  We breathed a sigh of relief when his jax signing was announced.

He can thank Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs for his contract and I’ll be here to watch him not live up to it and be a free agent again in 2026 when the jags cut him after 2 seasons because of all the reasons I stated in my last post.

I’m a fan of Gabe the man.  I’m a fan of Gabe the WR4/5.  I’m glad he got overpaid by and AFC contender and I’ll enjoy watching him not live up to his contract in Jax.

Nah. That just doesn't make sense, it just doesn't.

It's his market value. It's what they think he's worth. It's just in the area predicted for him.

Like it or not, he's been a productive WR. He has appeared to be a somewhat below average #2, who gives value beyond his production with excellent blocking and leadership and locker room presence.

This is what his market value is. It's what he was expected to get and he got it because that's his worth.

Could it turn out to be a bad deal? Sure. Or a good one. My guess is he'll continue to be a productive guy, at roughly his current level, making 700 - 900 yards, maybe even up to a thousand in a good year. And that will mean he'll live up to his contract. It won't be a bad contract unless he's only a #3. Which could happen, but there's no particular reason to think it will.

Right, just like star Lotulelei had a market value of 5 years 50M and Jonnu Smith had a market value of 4 years 50M we could go on for hours about players

not living up to their contracts.

there’s plenty of reason to think he won’t live up to his contract.  He’ll have inferior QB play; he has chronically injured feet; he has a career catch rate of 54%; we won’t be playing opposite an all pro WR;  he wasn’t signed to be their WR2, he was signed to be their WR3 …..and then Ridley spurned the jags to sign with the titans.

Fair enough, but he was really productive for his time here. It's not a mistake that some team is paying him $13M a year.

    A fourth rounder.

Yes, this. Limiting expectations, especially for the first year, often means improving production as there isn't major pressure for immediate production.

It’s not only a major mistake, but it’s a major mistake.  He’s not worth even close to that amount of money.

I love me some Propofol.  I get some next Thursday to put me out before my 4 hour lumbar fusion.

I am really thinking they take 2. I bet it's Franklin and Tez Walker.  As much research as they have done on them, I wouldn't be shocked if we took both.

If we draft 2, I’m thinking it’s Ladd Mcconkey and Tez Walker.  Franklin has the visits, so I see why you’d correlate him, but mcconkey is the best at getting open imo.

i know you’re a big fan of him too.  Just have a feeling it’s Franklin based on visits?  I’d be fine with him, but if we took Tez in rd 2, I’d much rather have Ladd in rd 1

The overall theme is that SOME of these guys do NOT know how to properly evaluate talent, even though they ALL think they do.

The overwhelming superstar of the WR class might go early second round.  Who knows.

Look at all the highly paid NFL executives/scouts who completely BOTCHED the QB position in the 2018 draft as just one recent example we are all probably familiar with.

    Fixed.  Spot on though
