  1. The 'Biden Bump' That Didn't Last Long Townhall, by Byron York "The election is clearly changing now, moving towards Biden," the influential Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg declared on March 26. "The Biden bump is real." For Republicans, Rosenberg is someone worth listening to; he was right about the nonexistent "red wave" that many in the GOP expected back in 2022. When he said the election was moving, it was worth noting. Now, though, the situation is a little more complicated. Ever since President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on March 7 -- the one in which he appeared to shout much of the time to prove his vigor -- Democrats have been hoping for a Biden surge. A lot of that was just wish-casting; it simply did not make sense to many Democrats that former President Donald Trump could be under four indictments, and starting trial in one case, and still be leading Biden. It just seemed too crazy to accept. But it was true. Then, in late March and early April, Biden did rise a bit in the polls. According to the RealClearPolitics average of national polls, Trump has led Biden in head-to-head matchups since September 2023. (They were tied for one brief moment in October.) During his March-April "bump," Biden's deficit shrank, coming within two-tenths of a point of catching Trump. Democratic hopes rose. Alas, it didn't last long. On Sunday came a poll from CNN that was simply devastating for the president's reelection hopes. Remember, a poll is just a freeze frame of the race at this moment. It doesn't mean things won't change in the future. But it gives us an idea of where things stand right now. And the CNN poll showed Biden's standing deteriorating before our eyes. https://townhall.com/columnists/byronyork/2024/05/01/the-biden-bump-that-didnt-last-long-n2638482
  2. President Trump Delivers a Painfully Honest Statement About Israeli Hostages and Hamas What President Trump said this morning about the Israeli hostages held by Hamas is brutally honest and true. It is always difficult to tell the hard thing to those who need to pretend not to know the truth. However, one of the great benefits of President Trump’s leadership both domestically and on the global stage is his willingness to say the honest thing consistently. The way this statement is truthfully worded is a pattern of linguistic assembly exclusive to President Donald Trump. Powerful, remarkable and brutally honest https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/04/29/president-trump-delivers-a-painfully-honest-statement-about-israeli-hostages-and-hamas/ .
  3. OMG, a ballot has to be legal to be counted ? Democrats Lose Big Time After Appeals Court Denies Request to Reconsider Whether Date Requirement for Mail-In Ballots is Enforceable in Pennsylvania by Christina Laila Last month the Third US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that mail-in ballots with no dates cannot be counted by Pennsylvania election officials. Democrats use this tactic frequently to add more ballots to their candidate’s totals following election day. “Mailed ballots that arrive on time but in envelopes without dates handwritten by Pennsylvania voters or with incorrect dates should not be counted, a three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday. Their 2-1 decision strikes down a lower court ruling.” NPR reported last month. “The main legal issue surrounding what are often called “undated ballots” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/04/democrats-lose-big-time-after-appeals-court-denies/ .
  4. From the person throwing themselves down the steps to the women shrieking (at least, I hope they are women) as if they are being abused, all of this is manufactured. These are actors playing a role. They chose to illegally storm and occupy a building, breaking windows to gain entry. No one should feel an ounce of sympathy for them as they pretend to be brutalized by police. Let the tears fall. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/04/30/watch-tears-fall-like-rain-as-police-retake-hamilton-hall-n2173578
  5. Workers Unite! It's International Socialism Day! International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day in some countries and often referred to as May Day, is a celebration of labourers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labour movement and occurs every year on 1 May, or the first Monday in May. Traditionally, 1 May is the date of the European spring festival of May Day. In 1889, the Marxist International Socialist Congress met in Paris and established the Second International as a successor to the earlier International Workingmen's Association. They adopted a resolution for a "great international demonstration" in support of working-class demands for the eight-hour day. The 1 May date was chosen by the American Federation of Labor to commemorate a general strike in the United States, which had begun on 1 May 1886 and culminated in the Haymarket affair four days later. The demonstration subsequently became a yearly event. The 1904 Sixth Conference of the Second International, called on "all Social Democratic Party organisations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on the First of May for the legal establishment of the eight-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for universal peace". https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4234852/posts
  6. To quickly recap, demonstrators who were upset over early morning arrests at an attempted encampment took down the American flag at the main campus and replaced it with a Palestinian flag. Though the agitators were amused, the university's interim chancellor, Lee Roberts, was not. Roberts proceeded to walk to the flag pole himself, remove the Palestinian flag, and re-fly the U.S. flag, to the appreciation of the Jewish students nearby. In another defining moment, Roberts later told reporters that the American flag would continue to fly over the campus as long as he was in charge. What hasn't been widely reported is what happened once Roberts walked away from the flag pole. The pro-Hamas radicals proceeded to try and take the U.S. flag down again. But a student-led group, as it turns out, did not make it easy for them. Guillermo Estrada, a student at the university, wrote about his experiences in an incredibly powerful thread. Here's his recounting of what happened: ..but it upset me that my country's flag was disrespected in order to advocate for another. Shortly after, Chancellor Roberts came with police officers to hang the flag once again. They were met with profanity, middle fingers, thrown bottles, rocks, and water. When the flag was raised once again, the greek community began singing the National anthem. As the Chancellor left, the quad erupted into chaos as protestors began removing the flag once again, preparing to destroy it. My fraternity brother and others ran over to hold it up, in order for it not to touch the ground. People began throwing water bottles at us, rocks, sticks, calling us profane names. We stood for an hour defending the flag so many fight to protect. My parents started a new life in the United States, a country that has helped them flourish and raise two kids. I grew up in a Military community and saw first hand the sacrifices they make. I will not stand for the disrespect these "protestors" cause for the sake of another country. My LDOC will be memorable in knowing that my fraternity brothers and others fought to keep the flag up. But it was also be memorable in knowing that so many yearn to disrespect it. For anyone wondering where the patriotic Americans were as the pro-Hamas protesters were trying to rip the American flag down again, here's your answer. They were there, making us proud, and giving us a glimmer of hope that not all is lost in this increasingly crazy world. https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2024/04/30/courage-defined-watch-student-led-group-stand-against-unc-chapel-hill-pro-hamas-mob-protect-us-flag-n2173574

  8. Biden Has Been 'Officially' Corrected in White House Transcripts 148 Times in 2024 Alone If it weren't for the fact that they are running interference for the worst president in the history of the republic, and one of the most deeply and fundamentally corrupt political figures since Huey Long - maybe Caligula - I'd almost feel sorry for White House staffers. These poor saps are trying to cover up President Joe Biden's mental and physical decline, and it's getting harder by the day. Every time the president speaks, it's another Gaffe-A-Palooza, and the problem is this: Every time he speaks, the White House has to issue an official transcript. Now we learn that, just since January 1, 2024, the President's remarks have had to be "corrected" in those transcripts no fewer than 148 times. And it's not just the fact that he had to be corrected - it's the why. https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/04/30/biden-has-been-officially-corrected-in-official-transcripts-148-times-in-2024-alone-n2173551
