  1. what would get me glued to the computer? if we pass on a QB at 8... and the rest of the league passes on one in the first round... it would be the most anticipated 2nd round EVER
  2. he has us taking Barkley at 8 and Woods at 41... I had the same thing... sooooooooo
  3. it's Barkley at 8... or Nassib at 41 and it's been that way all along IMO
  4. office pool going around... doesn't matter who picks them, just matters what pick they go... one point for each... I got most of it filled out but could use some help this is due by the end of the day here is what I got so far... LUKE JOECKEL ERIC FISHER SHARIFF FLOYD DION JORDAN DEE MILLINER GENO SMITH EZEKIEL ANSAH MATT BARKLEY BARKEVIOUS MINGO CHANCE WARMACK JOHNATHAN COOPER XAVIER RHODES KENNY VACCARO TAVON AUSTIN STAR LOUTELI ALEC OGLETREE TYLER EIFERT SYLVESTER WILLIAMS BJOERN WERNER JARVIS JONES LANE JOHNSON CORDARELLE PATTERSON VIKS COLTS VIKS PACK DEANDRE HOPKINS BRONC MANTI TEO FALC NINERS RAVENS
  5. people who say "and then let's draft Johny Football next year" are the same people who said "and then let's draft Matt Barkley" a year ago...
  6. people who say "and then let's draft Johny Football next year" are the same people who said "and then let's draft Matt Barkley" a year ago...
  7. Go Barkley at 8, Woods at 41... Run the ball tons with Spiller/Freddy, get some pressure off him, and the kid will do great.
  8. TWO MONTHS FROM MY ORIGINAL POST... seems like Barkley/Woods is going to be the aim for this draft... some may not like it, but I think it is a great move by our franchise. Our defense is ready to emerge, and with a young QB and WR, we have a real chance to develop this year.
  9. would I trade Byrd to the Jets for the 13th pick? I would if we get Milliner at 8, Jones at 13, and Barkley/Nassib at 41... make that happen and you have yourself a deal
  10. if you have a top 10 pick, you use it, and hope you guess right
  11. The Tavon Austin smoke screen is directed right towards St Louis and Minnesota, both teams who have the cards to deal
  12. THIS... here are the two scenarios I see for the draft... 1) Geno falls - we pick him 2) Nassib falls to the second round - we pick him 3) We go Patterson at one, Bray in round two if Nassib is gone either way, we will have Geno/Nassib/Bray as QB next year... my 2 cents
  13. if this happens, Bills would have the GREATEST DRAFT OF ALL TIME... Your score is: 2499 (Drafting Ability: D, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 16 (STL): Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan (A) Round 1 Pick 23 (MINN): Ezekiel Ansah, DE, Brigham Young (A) Round 1 Pick 25 (MINN): Matt Barkley, QB, Southern California (A) Round 2 Pick 9: Robert Woods, WR, Southern California (B) Round 2 Pick 20 (MINN): Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse (B+) Round 3 Pick 9: DeVonte Holloman, OLB, South Carolina © Round 3 Pick 16 (STL): Tyrann Mathieu, CB, LSU (A-) Round 4 Pick 8: Brandan Bishop, FS, North Carolina State (D) Round 4 Pick 9 (NYJ): Richard Samuel, FB, Georgia (F) Round 5 Pick 10: Vince Williams, ILB, Florida State (D-) Round 6 Pick 9: Drew Alleman, K, LSU (F)
  14. which QB's will emerge to success at the NFL level is a crap shoot in itself... the system, supporting cast, play calls, and even simple luck/timing all play a key factor. in my opinion, wether we draft one in the first, second or third round it will all be a crapshoot if he pans out or not. the only way we can tank a season is to start with Tavaris, keep our rookie QB on the bench... then plan on going Clowney #1 next draft, and our QB start next season.
  15. great post... however if we do trade back, the thought of Geno needs to be long gone...
  16. I will keep it simple.... one of two things will happen 1) We draft a good QB first round, and a defensive player second round or 2) We draft a GREAT defensive player first round, and a qb second round
  17. if you have the #1 pick, a QB is there and you are willing to trade it away......... then that QB is not worth taking at #1 IMO Colts would NEVER have traded that pick away for Luck Panthers would NEVER have traded that pick away for Cam etc...
  18. the best duel running back threat in the league? a potentially devastating defensive line? - RB's - Spiller will be a top 5 fantasy RB. Which means numbers. The dude is bound to have his official breakout season, and with Freddy probably taking the 3rd down/extra snap role, I think it only helps keep his legs fresher and more efficient for the long haul. These two, at full steam, are MVP worthy type running backs. - D-Line - Last year we had high hopes, and for a reason. Mario got hurt, Marcell had a terrible tragedy in his family. Those two alone, when healthy and with a year under their belts together have potential to raise pure havoc for QB's. if, and I know that is a big if, these two elements play out to their full potential we will be the 07/11 NY Giants of the AFC. A ridiculous two headed monster at RB, and a D-line that causes mayhem. (I am not comparing Tavaris or whoever is our QB next year to Eli, I get that was a huge component to their success but many teams have made it far without a top caliber QB - Dilfer, Hasselback, Collins, etc)
  19. the only way you do a trade like that, is if the QB's name is Andrew or Robert the third... not Geno
