now that we sat him, you guys think he will ever get back to 100% Spiller Thriller mode? -
What IF we do the unthinkable on Sunday?...

if our special teams can keep Sproles in check, we have a chance... if not, we will once again pull our hair out for a game we could have/should have won -
The Bills may sit CJ this week vs the Saints

FINALLY they are considering giving him a week off... I think to truly "rest" him, he needs to get treatment all week, and next, and even stay off the practice field... actually REST -
I hope EJ is fully healthy right at the same time Spiller, Gilmore, Byrd, etc. Watching our squad at full health would be great to see and assess

that had potential to crash the servers on this board -
I thought this also for a little bit, but can't help but worry that it will be too late by then and getting worse by the week

Spiller is not himself out there... I get that majority of all of our main guys are banged up, and are toughing it out, but in my opinion CJ is not that type of player. Captain Fred gets rolled on, and goes back out and barrels for every yard that he earns. He is the type of back that absorbs hits, and keeps moving forward. Spiller on the other hand is a cut/speed/gap type runner and is almost completely ineffective when he cant make those cuts. My vote, shut him down this week and let him rest, heal, and mentally prepare for the Chiefs/Steelers/Jets month we have ahead of us. What say you?

ESPN:NFL NATION...Bills Practice notes

so back to the initial problemo... Thad or Freeman? I would take Thad if I knew he would have some dump passes to Freddy/Spiller but it doesn't seem to be the case. Freeman however is gonna be doing that to AP, then taking deep shots to Patterson all night (and it's agains the Giants... on a Monday night... where no lead is safe lol) -

I understand the the numbers are decent, but we all know what kind of talent is loaded in our backfield, dare I even say best tandem in the league, and we should be getting tons of receiving yards from them as well (dump passes). I think we can use this EJ injury to our benefit and plug in Thad and just have him keep the offense simple, and chip away at teams. With our defense playing like they are, we can win 17-10 type games in the trenches. -
No matter how you cut it, Spiller is under performing this year. Many factors play in here, in fact too many to list, some his fault, some not. What are your feeling regarding his on field performance this year... A) physical set backs? or B) is the schemes and play calling holding him back? C) other For me, personally it is B. We are running him like he is a "Freddy" or "Lynch" type back who can hit the hole, gain the extra yards, and potentially hit the homerun should a safety be out of place. What we need to do is create space for him to get outside, and utilize his speed, like he did last year. I don't think his ankle is a huge issue, especially if he is still splitting carries with Freddy. I strongly feel that if we can fix the play calls when CJ is in, we can overcome the hurdle of a 3rd string QB, by pounding the rock with CJ/Freddy, and hitting short passes with Stevie/Woods/and most importantly Chandler. What say you?

not sure how I feel about this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIWu45CRszM -
this is a win/win for the Bills camp and the Freeman camp IMO 1) Bills need a QB to fill in while EJ heals up. We are putting a 6 week mark out there, but realistically nobody knows how long this process will take. 2) Freeman wants a multi year contract, and now will be given a chance to prove that he is capable of earning big $$. The Bills are not a push over, and yet are not favored to win every week. With the supporting cast around him, he has a chance to manage games, get W's and potentially "Matt Flynn" his way into next season. I am not a fan of Freeman, but I am a fan of having a QB start for us that is capable of winning games... which I don't think Tuel can do

Spiller is ready to erupt for a huge game... when it happens, LOOK OUT... because everything else will open up for our offense same with our defense... when our secondary comes back, LOOK OUT... Bills... Playoff wild card... DROY and OROY... 2013

Bills Daily Prediction of 13-9 is absurd

First quarter of the season in the books. Let's review.
rayray808 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
rookie QB, injuries everywhere, and we escaped 2-2 and the 2 losses came in close games... OFFENSE: going to go nowhere but up... EJ getting more snaps, Spiller/Jackson finding their groove DEFENSE: going to go nowhere but up... secondary comes back soon and will capitalize even more from our d-line pressure BIGGEST WORRY: dolphins and chiefs getting all these non conference wins. makes the wild card tough for us. @Browns W Bengals W @FinsL @Saints L KC W @Pitt W Jets W Falcons L @Tampa W @JVille W Miami W @NE W 10 - 6 ... wild card all depends on the dolphins in conference record, and the chiefs non conference records... something tells me all of us are going to be watching those teams and cheering against them in a very major way... my guess is that we are going to head into week 17 with a must win vs the Pats, and need the Chiefs (vs chargers) or Dolphins (vs jets) to lose... crazy thing is that the Chiefs/Chargers game is after us so it will be potentially a GO CHARGERS type of night -
