Now he is a shell of the "superman" he was. And Newton is built like someone from an Avengers movie. Still, the hits add up. Stuff breaks and tears. That's why Brady, a scrawny 43 year old yoga guy who stretches instead of doing weights and eats nothing but avacado and beets, can play forever and never drop off at all: he almost never gets hit unless his coaches want to get cute and send him out for passes. That NEARLY ended his season last year when he injured his MCL tripping over his own 2 feet trying to catch a freaking pass. This year he will just take the snap and throw the ball before any DL is even out of his stance. The games are just warm up for his hot yoga routines and rustic vegetable medley dinners.

Then they send poor Flores packing after year 2 and bring in some big name HC and GM combo to play with all the picks and cap space he suffered to collect. That's the trouble with following this path.

an ACTUAL genius move for NE would be to trade AB to Miami for Fitzpatrick, straight up.

Shurmur is a decent OC who has proven to be a terrible HC I would say he is the Mike Pettine of offensive coaches.

NE has damaged the game. It feels like nothing that happens matters because they always win anyway. None of the young up and coming stars are able to build a resume. Mahomes the phenom MVP with a guru coach! Maybe they can come watch NE win the Super Bowl with me this February. That is hurting the game, IMO. Nobody is up to it when it comes to NE.

NFL wants exclusive partners. Look at the video game deal. There used to be multiple NFL video games. Sunday Ticket is even more exclusive, because at least anyone who wants to buy Madden can do so. Not true with Sunday Ticket. But the NFL wants Sunday Ticket to be hard to get for all the reasons stated before in this thread by many posters. They want it expensive and difficult to obtain in order to protect local markets and big businesses. Plus, Direct TV would be bankrupt if it lost the ticket, so it will bid insane amounts of money to keep it. If they let cable in on it and made it non-exclusive then the $$ Direct TV would pay (if they bothered at all) would be way, way less. More options= lower prices.

maybe someday people won't have to apply online and hope they are among the chosen few who are allowed the honor of purchasing Sunday Ticket. Just do what every other freaking league does: offer the package on multiple platforms and stop screwing around with the dish. NFL does that purposely to limit the number of people who can get it. They DO NOT want it on cable, where anyone can get it without an application and kissing the ring of a garbage company offering a garbage product.
