Special Teams Upgrades
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Bleeding Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schmidt just doesn't have the big leg that all the better punters have. I would at the very least bring in someone to compete. I'm not saying like spend tons of money to get someone better. But i look at justin tucker and Hekkers numbers and wonder if they might have actually stolen a game or two this year... Our kicking and punting cost us a couple on the opposite side of the coin. -
Special Teams Upgrades

19-25 on the year. 4-9 from 40+, and 1-2 from 50+. He sucks at kickoffs (41.7% TB, and 21.6 yard return average - This ones tricky because it doesn't state average drive start off a kickoff but i think we can all agree it's not his strength)... He also missed 5 XPs this year (40-45). Colton Schmidt had the lowest average punt distance in the NFL at 42.4 He also had the 2nd lowest net at 38.1. How can you not say upgrading these guys should be somewhat of a priority? They are the worst in the league. -
Anyone know who we can sign to upgrade our Kicker and Punter? I don't even want to bring in young competition... I want to full on replace both with people who have consistently done their job better.

And he's still in the hall of fame, his #4 is still retired, and he's still on the building... It would be more like him sending it to a lady friend, and said lady friend sending it to a female jets reporter actually. Since he's not the one who sent it to goodell. -

I feel like it was probably a funny NSFW video. Like the kind of thing my buddies and i would attach on a group text to get a laugh. -
Deshaun Watson is the answer

I believe his theory is - using a single game as evidence that a player is amazing is not an accurate judge of their future abilities in the NFL. -

Long time until the draft... QBs value typically just goes up. Cle, SF, Jax, NYJ, and CHI all need QBs... there's a pretty decent chance that 3 come off the board before 10. If that happens you almost have to go BPA. -
Hire Matt Patricia!!!
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to ROONDOGG55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just feel like his team's success right now is entirely attributed to what Romeo has going on that side of the ball. They're missing their MVP and still fielding a great defense. They spent a ton on a QB, and he made their offense worse. -

Bill O'brien isn't like Romeo... But Romeo is the DC in Houston... -
Go one further and you have a draft where no one should have gone in the first 50 picks... so 2 out of the last 4...

Rob Quinn on Trubisky replacing Tyrod
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep - if we trade for #1 overall... there's a decent chance were trading the 10th pick, a top 10 pick next year... and quite possibly a 3rd one in 2019... -

yes. -
My guess - the communication was poor. The owner shouldn't be having a day to day communication with the QB, but at the same time Doug or Lynn needed to bring TT into a meeting and have a face to face discussion on the reasons behind it. Instead, nothing was said to him. Assuming they're still saying nothing to him, he's probably having his agent say "The bills won't bring me back" so they can fracture the relationship and hit free agency.

The Wingo stole my brain

I only watch sports on ESPN, and that basically means 1 football game per week and some baseball games here and there. Not a big basketball guy. I used to watch pre-game shows, but they don't entertain me like they used to. Same with the NFL draft, everything's such a spectacle now. I just watch highlights online now. Given up on highlight shows. -
2017 will be a disaster.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Negative point diff, mediocre to bad defense that will be losing players, drafting 22nd, tougher schedule, and they don't have a good QB. They'll be under .500 next year unless Gase works some kind of magic. -
Brian Hoyer anybody?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had good numbers for a few weeks this year.... Then he got hurt. Over a 3 game period in 2014 he threw 0 TD's and 7 INT's. They were 7-8, and he was a UFA after the year. They played their rookie after they got eliminated from the playoffs... That's the worst decision they've made? Not drafting Manziel? Or gilbert? Or mingo? If we walk from Tyrod, and bring in Hoyer I'll understand why we did it. But in no way would i be even slightly excited. It doesn't preach continuity, i don't know if it really preaches anything other than spinning the wheels. -
AFC PLAYOFF Steelers Dolphins
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Miami sucks. We're one of the best teams they beat this year, and we're not good. They were negative in point diff. Oh, and tannehill is not good. 3500 net passing yards as a team, good for 26th in the league.thats with spending picks and trades to get Parker, stills, Landry, cemron, etc. Anyway, they don't sniff the playoffs next year. But they'll win the offseason with free agent splashes cuz they always do. -

I don't see him making wow throws. They're just sideline bombs and stuff. He's fast and electrifying, but i don't think he's going to be a great QB in the NFL -

How many of his own teammates legit have to say "this guy sucks" for a guy to stop getting jobs? -

From the wording in the way they said it - the elected part was not indicating that he CHOSE to have the surgery... it was that he chose to have the surgery THURSDAY.... -

Yeah - This job is not very enticing to any of the solid candidates. We'll be the niners in 2 years. Whaley hires Lynn... Lynn will be terrible. He'll fire Lynn, bring in someone else... The roster is still terrible. Then we'll finally clean house. -

All with 46 million in cap...? Cousins will take up at least 20 probably closer to 25 unless you're guaranteeing 60 million. Those 2 WRs are at least 6 per. Thats low end 32. And a LT coming off his rookie deal. We wouldn't have enough cap to fill otu a roster, let alone pay our rookies... PIPE DREAM And it doesn't address the side of the ball where we ranked 26th in DVOA - our defense. That has more holes anyway. -

Yeah - Just don't know how we improve with all of these Free agents... QBs - TT and EJ gone RBs - Bush, Felton WRs - Woods, Hunter, Goodwin, Harvin, Tate... so all of them except watkins TEs - Gragg - just a guy Oline - Mills is gone D-line - Bryant and Douzable, possibly kyle LBs - z brown, lorax, Mccray, humber Secondary - White, Gilmore, and all the safeties assuming we cut graham and awilliams retires. By my count we need at least 1 QB, 4 wr's, probably a TE, a RT, probably 2 or 3 d-linemen, 2 lb's, at least 1 starting corner, and 4 safeties. How do you draft and sign people to fill all that.. and improve.
