  1. The wify had an adult party yesterday afternoon, so I was with my two year old. I scared the crap out of him when we scored the winning TD.. He started crying so I picked him up and danced around the room.. He got over it fast enough. Tim-
  2. fair enough, I'll take 11 wins all day long, just so we can shut Bob Matthews up on WHAM in Rochester.. LOL Naw, I like Bob, but he is really hard on the Bills, and NOT convinced we might have a good team on our hands this year.. Tim-
  3. Hehe, great story. I have no nails left after yesterday. I usually try to reserve a little bit, but man, the finger nails took a beating yesterday.. LOL Tim-
  4. Well, that was tame. Come on, I'm a big boy, I can take it. Where might I be wrong about the picks based on what you've seen out of these teams so far this year? Tim-
  5. If anyone cares, I picked the BIlls to go 11 - 5 this year.. (Snickers) Yes I was laughed at, and some were just outright rude, but the thing I had going for me was that I had seen them 4 times at St. John Fisher, and I was keeping a level head about me. I was also watching preseason like no other this year. That said, here's my season prediction. Bills v KC - Win Bills v Oakland - win Bills v NE - Loss (unless our D beats up on Brady we lose this game, but we score a few TD's) Bills v Cincy - Win (Can't see Cincy staying with our Offense and if Cncy can't run they're no good) Bills v Eagles - Win (This one is a bit tricky, ut I saw some things in last nights game that Gailey can exploit) Bills v Giants - Win (Might change this after tonights game) Bills v Skins - Win (Grossman is streaky, and positon-wise I like our guys better, we can exploit weaknesses here) Bills v Jets - Win (This could very easily be a loss, but frankly at this point in the season the Jets look beatable) Bills v Boys - Win (Romo showed some true grit yesterday and to tell you the truth he won me over, but I think their secondary has holes in it) Bills v Fins - Win (I see us beating them twice this year) Bills v Jets - Loss (Ryan figures out how to get to us) Bills v Titans - Win (We finally have the team to get some revenge on them, this will be personal) Bills v Chargers - Loss (Not sure if we can out-score with them, too many weapons) Bills v Fins - Win (See earlier comment) Bills v Broncos - Win (Who knows, maybe Tebow plays this game, but either way we beat them in a balanced attack) Bills v Patriots - Loss (Patriots play first teamers we lose, if not, we win and in the playoffs) So, now I have them 12 - 4 instead of 11 - 5. Insane? No, I don't think so. Tim-
  6. True Dat! Maybe have Marv come back in and gives the guys a good "up against all odds" type speech from WWII.. Tim-
  7. I don't care about rankings unless they keep us ranked a lot higher than what we should be. This team seems to thrive off being the underdogs in every game. Tim-
  8. Who here was hoping the sack on Brady, and the low hit at the knee's was going to take him out? I was.. I respect Brady a lot, great QB (Maybe the best ever) but damn, I love the Bills more, and with him in the back field next Sunday, we are gonig to struggle to win the game.. Tim-
  9. Unless our guys are really in shape, the no huddle is going to sting us big time, I fear. Tim-
  10. The bills, like every other team will have to cover 90% of the cap next year. He'll get paid. Tim-
  11. Bills disrupt their young, undiciplined team early, and the Raiders will not recover from it. Raiders run past 100 yards, so will we, and we still win walking away 27 - 14. Tim-
  12. How about "The Professor"?? Ok, ok, too early for that one, but hey, if he keeps it up, he might earn that nic. Go Bills!! Tim-
  13. Dan Dierdorf is my favorite of the announcers. He's a fair guy, IMO, and he seems to always have a soft spot for the Bills.. Go Bills! tim-
  14. Well if Simms is picking us, that must mean something? He has been a big debbie downer on the Bills for what seems like, ever.. Tim-
  15. I don't disagree with anything you've said. My post was not to lament on McGee's skillz. He is a good player, BUT, he "was" a better player. It means that although he is not the player he once was, he is indeed trade bait for a team in need, and good enough for a 3rd rounder, IMO, maybe even 2nd round if the need is urgent. Look, I like him a lot, I really do, but I'm trying to think about the future. Our CB core is pretty good, a notch or two above average, IMO, and well coached. We could stand to lose McGee, and it wouldn't hurt us necessarily. Just sayin. Tim-
  16. To be honest (Flame away) I think once McGee is healthy we should shop him around. When it was Greer and McGee abck then, I thought we let the wrong guy go.. McGee is injury prone, IMO, and he's still got gas enough that some teams will be interested in him big time. I say timing is everything when it comes to making good deals. The time to trade McGee is now, or when he's back healthy. Depending on the need, we should easily get a 3rd rounder for him? I'm confident in the guys we have at CB now, they're all above average, IMO, or at least with as much potential to be.. Corner is one of them. I know don't like Corner but he's gritty, and Buffalo likes gritty.. Tim-
  17. I didn't mention the Raiders D-line for a reason. I didn't get the impression that Orten was overly pressured last night. Yes he took a couple of sacks, and laid one on the ground, but overall Denvers young guys held up ok. Seymore is a beast no doubt, but the strength of your team is not in defense, IMO, it's in your running game. (Speaking to RaiderJoe) You are a classic run to pass team, similar to KC, and if you take away that aspect, you're not very good at transitioning to a pass to run team. McFadden does run inside, I said he did, but I said that he has his best success on the outside, IMO. That's should be good news for you since this is where the Bills are weaker. You're not going to run inside on us on Sunday, I'll bet dollars to donuts that Gailey is scheming for this. If you're going to have success, it'll be on the outside with an overzealous LB core.. You're high on your CB's, and that's fine, but Routt seemed like he couldn't cover my grandmother without putting his hands all over her.. Tim-
  18. Ok, so I braved the late night game and watched the Raiders closely, and I have a few thoughts on what we need to do to beat them. IN no particular order. 1. Pressure Campbell - We should be able to do this effectively = win 2. Plug up the holes inside with Our DT's and win the edge - McFadden runs more for the edge than inside and this is where we need to stop him = win/loss 3. Dicipline - Raiders looked young and undiciplined last night, and this is a big plus for us, if we stay as diciplined as in the KC game. = win 4. TE's will be big in this game as they were in KC. Move the ball around and we will be fine = win 5. One on one our CB's match up well with the Raiders, WR's. This will give us a lot more options with strong nickle packages. = win 6. Solid tackling will win the day. = win 7. Turnovers. Keep them down, and we = win I didn't see anything last night from Oakland that particularily scared me, other than the Reece/McFadden combo, but I think we have the personell that can take them on. We just need to execute. My predicition is a Bills win. 27 - 14 Bills 2 - 0 Vs. New England! Don't ask me how we beat NE, I have no frigging idea.. LOL Tim-
  19. I agree, and the only thing I would add is that I was impressed with their dicipline. Penalties were not costly, and I think they had only 4 or 5 all game. Penalties, and turnovers have killed us in past years, and if they can just keep this to a minimum that alone would be a big improvement. Tim-
  20. Linky: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31751_162-20103254-10391697.html Well, there you have it.. Sorry if this was posted already, I lokked and didn't see it. Tim-
