Sad to see that I am the first vote for Butch Byrd. Excerpt:

If I could not at least START the football season feeling optimistic, I would walk away from the game.

A long time ago, we went to the Half Dollar in Rochester and the girls were stretch marked pigs, used up and disgusting. I ended up playing Pac Man after a couple pole dances. Another time there was a private (probably illegal) club on Lake Ave we went to for a bachelor party. There were raffles (50/50) with half of the money going to the groom. I bought tickets but gave them to my single brother-in-law. I wanted no part of these "ladies". Funniest line was from my father-in-law to the three of us brothers-in-law: "Whatever happens here tonight, stays here tonight." He later won a raffle!

Got it right away. I even have the DVD - GREAT for a Halloween party. RiffRaff: It's astounding; Time is fleeting; Madness takes its toll. But listen closely... Magenta: Not for very much longer. RiffRaff: I've got to keep control. I remember doing the time-warp Drinking those moments when The Blackness would hit me RiffRaff: And the void would be calling... Transylvanians: Let's do the time-warp again. Let's do the time-warp again. Narrator: It's just a jump to the left. All: And then a step to the right. Narrator: With your hands on your hips. All: You bring your knees in tight. But it's the pelvic thrust That really drives you insane. Let's do the time-warp again. Let's do the time-warp again. Magenta: It's so dreamy, oh fantasy free me. So you can't see me, no, not at all. In another dimension, with voyeuristic intention, Well secluded, I see all. RiffRaff: With a bit of a mind flip Magenta: You're into the time slip. RiffRaff: And nothing can ever be the same. Magenta: You're spaced out on sensation. RiffRaff: Like you're under sedation. All: Let's do the time-warp again. Let's do the time-warp again. Columbia: Well I was walking down the street just a-having a think When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink. He shook-a me up, he took me by surprise. He had a pickup truck, and the devil's eyes. He stared at me and I felt a change. Time meant nothing, never would again. All: Let's do the time-warp again. Let's do the time-warp again. Narrator: It's just a jump to the left. All: And then a step to the right. Narrator: With your hands on your hips. All: You bring your knees in tight. But it's the pelvic thrust That really drives you insane. Let's do the time-warp again. Let's do the time-warp again.

One of the very best beer gifts I ever got! woo woo woo I kept the bottles, caps, and cardboard six pack too. Good beer and a great collector's item. I love to try new beers wherever I go. Time to go have a cool one in the sun!

(LAMP) Please send prayers and good thoughts
rockpile replied to Campy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Somehow I missed this thread. This was like cold water in the face. Prayers and love to you and your wife, Chris. Next time (should there be a next time) ask for secanol before the procedure. They could cut your eyelids OFF and you would not care. I had a foot operation once, and they asked if I wanted something to help me stay calm - yes SECANOL! While they made an incision and drilled bone, I read a magazine and watched. Take care, my friend. -
I like most Sam Adams, but today I cracked open a Sam Adams Raspberry Lambic beer. I was a more than a little skeptical, but wanted a beer. One sip and the rest went down the drain. I cannot remember the last time I did that. I needed a Guiness to wash the taste out of my mouth!

Yes, young man, we had beer. It came in wooden cans! ...you will be standing next to the potato salad, right?
-
For the April meeting we did before and after (at least Lori and me did), which worked quite well.
-
A spray bottle of Killz is great for leaving messages on a green lawn, less subtle. At least that is what I heard.
-
I will try to make it. Food and drinks at Danny's before the meeting?
-
You mean Jim Kelly won't be in the Kelly Suite? Yes, I was concerned about Van Miller at the last meeting too. Getting old sucks. He tried to tell a joke but needed help from Murph with the punch line.

I am older than you, but in our college days we used to buy a beer called "Phoenix" for $3 a case. You had to HIDE the good beer for special friends, and keep Phoenix in plain sight for the dorm trolls.

Cans are easier to hold with your teeth while at the urinal, though. Um, at least that is what I was told.
-
I like Corona - lime and all! I prefer Pacifico, Dos Equis (XX) or Negra Modelo if I am drinking Mexican Beer though. Corona is Mexico's top selling exported beer. Sol is a generic Corona knockoff often offered in Mexico at inclusive resorts, and bar crawls; the locals think Sol is piss.

Congratulations. You are at the start of some of the best years of your life.

Almost any beer in a can.

No one mentioned 14609, my Irondequoit zip code. This post really cracks me up! Does panache mean, "my nose points to the moon"? I love it. The press does not help. One year the D&C made big news when a gun was discharged into a ceiling at an East Irondequoit school dance. They failed to follow up that the person with the gun was from Webster, "Where Life is Worth Living". My daughter was at a cheerleading competition in Brighton, and when she went in the ladies room, the Brighton girls were doing lines of coke. Fairport (how could you forget them, sob?) parents wear "real fans wear red" shirts and jeer at other schools during sports competitions. My point, every place has bad spots. Don't go there! Does Irondeqouit have good and bad aspects? Of course. What town does not? Your post reminds me of the Kinks "Well Respected Man".

MAJOR Announcement from TD

How often do you get an after hours call? I used to carry a pager, but it did not go off frequently. When I was in night school, and the Bills played Sunday night, I would have the wife page me to get out of class, but credit for attendance. I was on salary but I got an extra day per week pay whether or not I was paged. I did not mind. When I was on REAL family time: Christmas morning, Thanksgiving dinner, Easter Sunday Church, kid's birthday party, a baptism, etc I would turn the pager off for an hour or two - whatever I needed. Then I would call the service and ask if I had any calls, and would they please test my pager. Now with cell phones, there is voice mail and text messaging so it is easier, but I rarely carry a cell phone unless I am covering someone else. Twenty six years in the same job (same business anyway) this April. Some days are a drag, some are great - isn't that called life? I have had more good bosses than bad ones, and survived the a-holes. We downsized from over a hundred in my department to nine. For a while it was a lot like Survivor - who will be voted off the island this week? Hey, I lose this job - there is another one out here with my name on it. It just probably won't pay as much. As far as net surfing while I work, as I said I am on salary. Generally available from 7:30 to 5PM M-F. Since there are smoking restrictions in NY, people are outside having a smoke several times a day, often for 15-20 minutes (just an observation, not judging them - I used to smoke too), PLUS lunch. I can surf the web and if the phone rings, still take a customer's call. If someone stops by, I casually log off and see what they need. Who is more productive?

We went from low 80's on Tuesday, to 38 degrees this morning. Typical May. That is why I have not been impatient about getting my veggie garden planted; I need two or three more weeks for "sets". Hey, the sun is out and the sky is blue, I cannot complain!

Father Arrested in Slaying of Two Girls
rockpile replied to Frez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of the reason why both parents work is for "more stuff". Two or three cars Cable, or satellite or whatever Multiple PCs in every room I could go on but won't since you get my drift. MOST families do not HAVE to have two parents work to merely survive; it's all the perks we think we need. I am as guilty as the next person - this is not to point fingers at anyone else. Just a thought. -

He said stay at home parents, not just Moms. -
Maybe not the greatest, but a classic was "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer. Weezer on the set of Happy Days was very cool, too!
