    Such a weird game. Way more so than the Bills Giants SB, which is a game people compare it too. Wait a minute...wait a minute...the Giants defensive coordinator in that game was none other than Bill Belichick!

    Still interesting how many offensive players from the 2001 Rams team still insist that New England seemingly knew the majority of their plays in Super Bowl 36.

    You're splitting a lot of hairs here in regard to a 27-point Super Bowl victory, though I will concede that it was in a completely different era.

    And the team they played in that Super Bowl was his roster in Oakland. Tony Dungy never got that team over the hump, and he did. Winning a SB is not easy - no coach in our history ever has, as we all know.

    His Titans teams definitely get to a SB if you swap Tannehill for Allen. Belichick loathes the NYJ organization. Hopefully he gets in Vrabel's ear about that and dissuades him from going there.

    This is my exact preference for the reasons you mentioned, but I could totally see KC winning that game against Denver with Wentz at the helm.

    Looking forward to seeing how Trubisky plays. If your backup is playing the worst team in the league, he should be able to get the W. If he looks lost out there, it's time to get a new backup.

    Remember in 2021, when Allen had 40+ TDs and didn't make it because Lamar Jackson went instead during a year where he had 16 TDs and 13 INTs? Entire thing is a complete joke now. Guys under 25 won't believe this, but it used to be a legitimate and fun game.

    Agreed. It was a nice moment at the time, but this is a franchise that won four consecutive AFC Championships. Seeing everyone celebrate like we won the Super Bowl after finally lucking into a playoff berth at 9-7 felt a tad pathetic, if I'm being honest. I can understand, though, that it had to have been a seismic moment for Bills fans who were born after 1995.

    No, the fact that Wycheck threw it from the 29 and Dyson caught it past the 30 yard line made it look like a forward pass.

    Yeah, guaranteeing a playoff berth for division winners I'd good, but I'm not sure they deserve a home game. I always think back to the famous "Beastquake" game where a New Orleans team that was like 11-5 had to go to Seattle, who was 7-9. The Seahawks had a big advantage with the crowd and weather, and they won -- didn't seem right.

    They know us inside and out, and will be absolutely desperate to beat us in a big game for once. I want no part of them.

    Jeez, I totally forgot that there are now MNF playoff games, which is profoundly stupid. Typical Goodell move - no fans want it, it disrupts the competitive balance by making the winner play the next week with less rest, but at least it's good for ratings!

    Sweeping the division would be great, as would beating the Pats with our backups. They're years away from competing with us anyway, so I don't personally care too much about their potential draft capital. Let's go into the postseason with the momentum of a division win.

    McDermott ALWAYS calls a timeout in similar situations to make sure the defense is just right, which of course also takes all the pressure and need to rush away from the offense, allows them to regroup, and gives them time to plan out their own strategy. It rarely works in his favor, yet he continues to do it.
