As the roster stands, this statement is true, and has been for years. But why is that acceptable, particularly when you have a team that is supposedly in contention for the Super Bowl? I'll bet the 1990 Giants, 2001 Patriots, and 2017 Eagles were all glad to have capable backups when their starter went down, but we punt on this position every year it seems. Kansas City sure didn't.

Allen turns 30 that offseason, so a change is absolutely necessary if he hasn't gotten over the hump by then.

This is 100% going to be a case of two idiots arguing over who "disrespected" the other one, then firing indiscriminately in each other's direction. He held KC to fewer than 20 points in regulation, and that was after one of his best players suffered possibly the most inopportune freak injury in NFL history. Seems harsh. It's so lame.
