  1. Why do people like to misrepresent what really happened in the draft, by saying the "Buffalo gave up 2 1st round picks"? The Bills traded the 2015 1st round pick to swap the 9th pick for the 4th pick in 2014...That's what really happened. They didn't "give up" anything. The cost of the move was 1 pick, to improve the current years draft position. Just say what really happened. Also, I'm not sure where you are getting the "move up 2 spots" math
  2. The fall will be far when the Pats win the superbowl and none of this ultimately matters.
  3. Preseason all star. But there was a reason why he wasn't retained, as well as why no other team picked him up for almost the entire season. Cohen had a nice preseason, but he made his mark by jumping snap counts in the preseason, mostly against 2nd, 3rd, 4th units running a simple offense. Those kind of plays would never work consistently in the regular season. When he went one on one against blockers he was nothing special. He was a nice story, but he is what he is and the Bills had better depth (Charles/Bryant). #darickrogers
  4. The preseason allstar with the Bills may play in the SB for Seattle. Good for him. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-landon-cohen-went-from-parking-cars-to-making-super-bowl-roster-in-less-than-a-month-185919232.html
  5. I highly doubt Schwartz has any particular loyalty to Marrone, they had never worked together before last year when Whaley brought him in. They are hardly a pair, Schwartz will go to the best place for him...of course CHI is certainly an option given their 4-3 personnel. I doubt Marrone gets a HC gig in the NFL this year though, too many other good candidates still out there.
  6. I'd welcome Stevie back regardless, what is there to hold against him? Having said that I doubt that is really being considered, he'd be a 3rd option at best for the Bills.
  7. Who will it be, what will it look like, and why?
  8. All I hear is...Jordan Palmer - http://forums.twobil...-ball-on-bbcom/
  9. He wouldn't be an NFL player, he would be receiving a gift not compensation, and wouldn't have a contract. So no, it would not affect the cap.
  10. I certainly don't think the Bills should feel obligated to match the funds. In fact doing so would create a dangerous precedent that struggling retired players could come back to their team for more money. I DO think the Bills could still perform a good gesture in other ways, such as possibly finding a role with the organization or promoting the fundraiser.
  11. It's part of his game. I'm mostly ok with it, so long as he continues to hit big plays. There are plenty of good QBs who take a lot of sacks (Rothlisberger, WIlson, ect.). I just don't want to see fumbles, which could end up being a problem.
  12. The line wasn't built for anything. Woods and Glenn are solid, other than that it's a patchwork. Also, Orton likes to hold onto the ball for a long time, so expect more sacks regardless.
  13. Really? So the Bills have had poor G play, and all of the sudden I'm seeing these posts saying that Woods and Glenn suck. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm shocked people can't tell the positions apart. Lets not worry about Richardson and Pears, let's move Glenn and and Woods! If the G's are consistently getting blown up, the guys next to them will have harder jobs and look worse by proximity. Woods and Glenn have been the only consistent guys on the line. Also, Urbik was near flawless in the Jets game. Woods got blown up on one running play, by one of the best dlineman in the league. CUT HIM!!!!
  14. I've been saying for a while that Bradford is a likely option next offseason. And I may be in the minority but he's a good one. When healthy, he really has been a good QB. In fact I think the Bills would be lucky to have him, as surely other teams will also be interested (Jets?). I am highly skeptical that the BIlls will try to draft another QB in the first 2 days next year, I doubt they want to. Their plan will likely be Orton, and possibly a FA like Bradford. Bradford is almost guaranteed to be cut, due to his ridiculous rookie contract.
  15. I'm assuming you didn't "LMAO"? I'm seriously trying to figure out what you thought you saw?
  16. Actually, the Bills rarely used play action...which was confounding considering how much they ran the ball. They also rarely ran screens to their fastest players, in Spiller, Graham, and Goodwin. Instead they ran them to FJ, Chandler, and SJ on the few times they dare attempt it. My top complaint was the simple play book though. Predicting what the Bills were going to do on offense was ridiculously easy. It's really hard to be good if the other team knows exactly what you are going to do. And I don't buy that crap about simplifying things for young QBs. It was beyond simple, most other rookies and backups can run a much more complicated playbook than the Bills had. If the Bills QBs couldn't learn it, once again that's on Hackett.
  17. This is probably true. I think Palmer has about a .5% chance to make this team. Unlikely IMO. Thad will clearly be the first to go....That is if the Bills can actually find someone else worthy of making the roster ahead of him. Dixon and Palmer aren't those guys.
  18. I've asked that question since the moment that decision was made...Initially it was because we traded for him, and Kolb was a guaranteed injury waiting to happen (prediction true!). Now it's because he's a serviceable backup, when we have none.
  19. Yuck. Jordan Palmer is no better than Thad or Tuel. Might as well wait until someone interesting is cut. For the record I think Mallet sucks, but there's a very good chance he will be cut by the Pats. There will be other cuts as well that are more promising than a bum like Palmer.
