  1. Personally I think it's a terrible forum for protest, and detracts from whatever you are protesting...but people have the right to do it, and employers have the right to fire and not hire those that do it. People are so used to being entitled to things these days, that they believe they can say and do anything they want with no consequences what so ever... Sure, free speech allows you to legally do and say things...but that doesn't mean you are immune from any consequences, YES THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES.
  2. In that case execution is in order, I believe the NFLPA has a clause allowing for sideline executions.
  3. The Bills can cut him for any reason they chose so long as they do not violate labor laws (race, gender, age, etc...). In fact, they certainly should cut him for no other reason than he's a TERRIBLE excuse for an NFL OT on the field.
  4. Stop discriminating against the juice! All love for Kelly aside, OJ is one of the best football players in Bills history...Bruce being the only guy I'd put on top from a pure football standpoint.
  5. My talk on potential is purely based on their NFL experience. Tyrod has less, and was stuck under one system. Any potential is theoretical, but there is still room for him to show it...I'm just skeptical that a guy who has been as consistently mediocre as Kaep, over the years he's had, in different systems, can show much more than he already has. It's more about saying we've seen Kaep's best, than necessarily expecting Tyrod to get better...to be honest, I don't really expect either to get better. But to me it wouldn't really make sense to replace one with the other. If I had to pick a FA to replace Tyrod, my choice would be Foles. I think he could do well in a Dennison/Kubiak system. I don't think there's any real "good" choice in FA though, except maybe Romo...and he's not coming to Buffalo. The QB of the future will have to come from the draft IMO. Any FA this year is a bridge, wing and a prayer.
  6. This is a much more sensible statement...which is exactly my point. They aren't going to dump Tyrod for Kaepernick, when they are very similar players. It just doesn't make any sense. If they dump Tyrod, I'd expect a different type of QB, not a clone. Kaep is a very unlikely option IMO. I'd also argue, that since Taylor has only had 2 seasons under one system...that he has more "potential" than Kaep, who has struggled for several seasons now, in several different systems. He looks to have topped out.
  7. Apparently no one learned anything about overreacting to meaningless tweets after the McCoy/Buffalo incident. He had a suberbowl appearance with one of the best defenses and running games in football. He was VERY mediocre as a passer that year, completing 58% of his passes...He went an impress 1-10 last year, again completing less than 60% of his passes and averaging 6.8 yards per attempt, which is putrid. He's been better than no one, what's worse, is he's seemingly regressed every year as a starter. Mark Sanchez made two straight AFC championship games, and your boy Dilfer won the SB. We all know that means nothing. He also now has 5 years of mediocrity, a trend. However slim it may be, there's still more likely hood that Tyrod could improve than Colin at this point.
  8. I don't think Colin is in the category of possible starters. His ceiling is no better than Tyrod.
  9. Why? This is just more "what the heck" speculation because Dennison was his coach. If anything, I hope that means Dennison knows he's nothing more than backup quality.
  10. You are throwing out 7.875M of money already paid to McCoy. You'd be saving his 6.25M salary+bonus this year...but you'd be dumping that ~8M in the garbage...Not to mention losing one of the best offensive players in the league..."Savings"
  11. Edited Yeah, that's a misrepresentation. His dead cap is 7.8M no matter what... This comes from his ~13M signing bonus, of which there is 3 years at ~2.6M left in amortized cap hits...The only way the Bills could get out of that cap hit was if they could nullify some of his signing bonus (basically he has to kill someone). Cutting the best player on the team, when you've already paid for a good portion of his contract, makes little sense. You are throwing out 7.875M of money already paid to McCoy. You'd be saving his 6.25M salary+bonus this year...but you'd be dumping that ~8M in the garbage...Not to mention losing one of the best offensive players in the league..."Savings".
  12. This is about the time we start getting asinine off-season posts like this. Some guy claiming "sources" that he obviously doesn't have. Boyst pointed it out the best, he saw the McCoy "Tweetgate" and offer his imagination to the rest of the board. Pre or post june 1....There would still be a 7.8M dead cap hit, when his salary is only 1M more. The only thing that could be managed is how much dead cap is accounted for this year, and next. NOT happening. No one cuts their best player, for no reason whatsoever, with no benefit, and no compensation (in fact, they'd be stuck with his cap hit anyway). I do appreciate this for the entertainment factor though. Maybe next we'll hear about Jordan Palmer and his amazing footwork.
  13. I rarely jump on QB bandwagons, but I'm a big fan of Mahomes as a potential NFL QB.
  14. This is a pipe dream... First off, the Bills will not be able to outbid Washington Secondly, I doubt he would choose Buffalo, especially with the state of the WR group. Is he better than Tyrod? Certainly looks that way, but I don't see a possibility of him becoming a Bill next season. Personally, I think they should keep Tyrod he's actually reasonably priced for a starter. Then bring in Glennon or McCarron or someone along those lines to compete with him.
  15. What I saw in the PS last year was a slow WR that was completely lost on the field. I think most people would expect some improvement year over year, but until I actually see him play again I'm skeptical. #3 WR seems like a huge long shot, and would either mean an unbelievable improvement, or extreme desperation by the Bills. The media loves to publish click bait this time of year.
  16. I don't think it would change much at all. Regardless of whether he's here or not he was ineffective. The front 7 was ineffective. Their needs are still the same. Besides, this is just talk. I don't think there's much of a chance of this happening.
  17. That's exactly what I was trying to say. People seem to see one big play/game and form their opinion of the player based on that, and not the overall quality and body of work. Whether it be Rambo's 3 TO day and ignoring all of his missed tackles...or Graham's missed tackle on White, forgetting about all of the great tackles he made consistently all season long. I think it's much easier to do this on a position like safety, when they have good coverage you don't them because the camera is not focused on them. Many fans only notice them when they are involved in a big play, good or bad.
  18. Right, I'm the one that said he had a handful of bad plays. The point is people ignore all of the good plays made, and focused on the tiny minority of plays that weren't. This is a perfect example. He played well overall throughout the course of the season. Even Revis and Sherman allow big plays, it hardly means they need to be replaced. Inst You also just contradicted yourself, in your previous post you indicated his plays lost the games, in this post you said it's not all on him.
  19. Point out the games that Graham lost on his own. No one has a 100% success rate in stopping the opponents offense. Lets blame Dareus too, because he didn't have more game wining QB pressures. Or any one else we want to scapegoat for a bad 2015 Bills season.
  20. Agree 100%. Somehow Graham became the new scapegoat on this team. He was the only consistent safety and tackler in general on this team all year. He was beaten on a handful of big plays, but was otherwise very good.
  21. This was a joke right? Rambo had one nice game, and was an absolute disaster down the stretch for the Bills. He was completely incapable of making tackles, to the extent I consider him one of the worst tacklers I have ever seen in the NFL. AW may not be pro bowl caliber, but he was pretty solid at the safety position, and certainly was a strong tackler. His weakness in my eyes was not knowing what to do in redzone situations, something he could hopefully be coached on. As far as McKelvin goes, I'd prefer to see him used as the 3rd corner...but maybe they are thinking his contract is too much for that role.
  22. I do feel a bit for those who played football that were truly unaware of the possible consequences, and didn't realize these outcomes were a possibility. However those who are playing now, will have no one to blame but themselves. The risks are now common knowledge, and it's up to each player to assess the risk/reward of playing these sports. It's hardly just football either, combat sports such as Boxing and MMA have similar or worse consequences, as does hockey...Even soccer has a high concussion rate. It's a tough sport, and I can understand those who choose not to play. Those who do play at the professional level are generally well compensated though.
  23. I'm glad some other people are finally calling this out. Woods has been a huge disappointment in my eyes since year 2. The way he uses his feet and positions his body before attempting to make a catch, he sabotages himself every time. Combine that with below average speed, size, and hands, and you have a guy who is not good enough to be a top 2 WR in the NFL. I think the Bills realized this when they picked up Harvin, and then slotted Hogan above him in many situations when Harvin got hurt. Unfortunately combined with the bad misses on Graham and Goodwin, they are still in the market for a #2 WR. Hogan on the other hand has overachieved. He has done well, considering he isn't particularly gifted in any one area. However he also shouldn't be a #2.
  24. This exactly...Brady and Manning throw almost exclusively short passes...Finding the short read, and delivering the pass accurately takes a great amount of skill...Particularly the reading part, reading the defense at the line, reading defenders after the snap. If short passes were that easy, why can't most QBs run them that effectively? It's nonsense, effective QB play is effective QB play.
