BRH, is it a mere coincidence that both of us posted at the same time...
-
think kudos should be given to the coaching staff to find what works
and to stick with that....If we can set the run with the pass, then so be it...I don't think there is any one single way to win in this league, as long as you belive in what you do and what you do is working.
I think the team played really well without their starting RT, and starting
TEs and did a good job of proviidng protection to DB.
Of course if the D plays like this then our offense has shown in the last
5 games that they can score with a shortened field too.
-
I think TV had a great day. To start in a new position especially
after coming back from a nagging injury and then to have a INT
and Fumble, it must have felt great for TV to be back...
Another Team player...The guy did not whine about losing his
job to a younger player but came in and took another spot and
excelled at it. LM and TV should be forming a great Safety tandem
for the next few years.
-
If the coaching staff can get him away from throwing to EM all the time and
distribute the ball more to the 3rd WR and the TEs, I think he can play a
more solid game....With Campell and Euhus gone this week, I think DB
went back to his old habit of looking for EM and EM did not do a good job
by dropping quite a few...

After seeing that team play, they are not that good. Im not taking anything away from them but that division says it all.... They are one of the lowest ranked passing teams in the leagues but Ben is Great? Their D is great, that O is not... Running game is good but its not scary... They played their tuff games (philly, ne) at home. If they meet Philly in the SB or NE in the championship game, they will get crushed!
Im going to take the Bills after a tuff win next week over Cincy.....
Buffalo 34 Pittsburgh 18
The steelers have stopped every single teams running game and then taken
out their passing games....We cannot expect DB to win the game for us...
What we need from that game is McGahee to run and our ST/Defense to come
throguh....However that is still 3 weeks away...First on to Cinci and come back
with a win.

Good comments but I disagree with your importance meters.
The Jags & Ravens need to lose the most because of their respective schedules. The Jags aren't losing after next week and like you said Balt isn't losing to Miami. Those are both 10/10 IMO.
Next is Denver, because the Colts will probably lay down in week 17. That's maybe a 9/10.
If I had to live with one of our competitors winning it'd be the Jets, just because they would still have a reasonable chance of losing their last 2 games.
The colts and the bolts are both 10-3 and fighting for the 3rd seed...I don't
see how they will rest their starters in week 17 if that issue is not decided
by then...
-
If our D holds Rudi Johnson like we have done all the other RBs in the league
we have a shot at it....The game plan should be again to keep our D fresh
and take time off the clock and wina close 20-14 game.
-
Plus the guy has had 8 sellouts last year and 6 of 7 this year and i can't think
the Pit game won't be a sellout...He is definitely filling in RWs bank account.
-
not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, so sorry if it has been brought up.
but maybe Palmer sits next week and we play against Kitna.
"I am really not sure what happened," Palmer said. "I just felt like I got rolled up on and I felt a little pop."
M&M in the morning were reproting that Palmer will be back for the game against the bills

I live in Atlanta and the media here feel peerless is a complete bust. While I don't feel he is a number one receiver, he is being blamed for michael vicks inability to read defenses and throw to his receivers. Overall the falcons grossly overpaid for peerless and Donahoe made a brilliant move to secure a first round pick.
and draft McGahee with that pick and used that money to sign Takeo Spikes
-
I was wastching the comeback game yesterday (aired yesterday on ESPN).
and that is exactly what we did that year...went to pit, won, went to maimi
and won the AFC championship...
As they say, if you are in the playoffs, anything can happen.

If you are at home you can watch it....from 2.30 to 4 p.m EST

Think I read the other day the new cap will be over $100m, that is when the new TV contracts kick in. The story was related to how washington, even with the money given to bruneel, portis, springs etc, wont put them in cap hell because the cap will be about 30% higher when these guys need to be cut.
Hope TD is thinking about this when looking at Phat Pat and JJ
The difference between Wash and Buffalo, is the ability to pay the Upfront
signing bonus... I don't think RW has the kind of cash like evil snyder to
pay huge bonuses for JJ and PW and our draft picks (especially if we can
recoup a 1st rounder).
-
-
Some of the sacks have decreased also due to the ability of WM to pick
up the blitz..TH was very poor at that and never improved in his 4 seasons
as a bill.
-
and don't forget the D....Even though our D has played well their inability
to get off the field on 3rd and longs cost us a bunch of games early on....
1. Clements going for the INT on the 4th down against JAX
2. Fletchers stupid penalty on 3rd and long against the Pats at home that
game a automatic 1st down when the game was tied.
3. The two holding calls that wiped out huge returns on STs
4. Couldn't stop Pennington on the winning FG drive...Of coruse Lindell
gifted by kicking out of bounds after the TD.
5. Allowed some no name Curry guy to score 2 TDs vs Oakland.
But those units have pulled together and with the help from the OL have been
oustanding the past few weeks (except for the 1st qtr in miami)

When and from where did Reed emerge :-) In fact he has been inactive
for the last few games due to a knee injury....
May be u meant Evans...
-
I think the Jets had 4 1st rounders after making the playoffs and they
used it on Abrahams, Pennington and the other DE

If the bengals lose this week to NE, their chances become quite slim, as 9-7
might be difficult to squeeze it in.
-
Mike Williams has become the anchor of our line, and without him I think we could really struggle to put up points against the Browns, and especially the Bengals. If we don't get big Mike back for the Bengals game, I think it could be a long day for us Bills fans. The Bengals are coming on just like the Bills have been now. They're thinking the same thing we are, about winning out and going to the playoffs too. I'm hoping there is nothing seriously wrong with Williams.
The bengals have to first beat NE....If they don't win that game, their season
is probably over....It is going to be very tough for a 9-7 team to squeeze into
that last playoff spot.
-
Any news on the contract negotiations with McGee...Weren't the bills trying
to sign him to a long term contract and use some of the available cap money
from this year ?
-
This will be the last big payday for big Pat....So he would be expecting a
big bonus and some decent salaries.....Remember he and his agent
rejected the preliminary offer from TD and the bills...
I think he is probably expecting a 5year 22M contract with a 5M signing
bonus.
Re-sigining JJ will be even more tougher...HIs contract requirements
might be more in the 35-40M range with a 7-8M signing bonus.
And now it's time for everyone's favorite game....

Considering that some of the trick plays backfired on them in the last
few weeks...i hope they just grind out and get out of Cinci with a Win.
