I am open to the idea. Dorian's issue at linebacker is his play recognition, lane discipline and positioning. Get him lined up on or close to the line of scrimmage on passing downs and just use his physical gifts going forward. That is kind of how we used Lorax under Sean in 2017 and 2018.
They will probably use a TE all day to block him.

I follow a guy named Ken Massey who crunches all the results [from many sports].
He has us favored in all the rest of our games, He sees the toughest [lowest probability of winning] as at Houston 57% and home vs. Philly 59%. He has @NE as 61%, & @Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay both at 64%.
The Tampa game is shaping up as HUGE for a non-conference game as the Bucs are in a food fight with Rams, Seahawks, and Eagles for the bye in the NFC.
The Tampa game is a home game for us. We should leverage our home field advantage to negate any advantage with that team.

I think Beane is going to draft a pass catching RB high next year. At least i am hoping. We need to keep getting this offense more multidimensional. Imagine a Sproles or McCaffrey. Ty Johnson hasn’t been the player i thought he would be going into the season.
In Allen's own words - "Ty Johnson is the best 3rd down back in the NFL". If we don't know how to use our weapons then adding yet another player is not going to help you.

Definitely, hence why he’s the man. The other side to argue is Cook and his production opens up the play action full force.
It’s truly a team game and if you add a true #1 WR then as a defense it is impossible to stop them.

Of all the injuries we have this year, this one leaves the biggest void IMO. I felt like he was the potential difference maker.
And Ed Oliver. He was playing phenomenal this year

Josh is still THE man on this team but so far, from an offensive standpoint, Cook is the guy in MVP form for this team.
and with Kincaid developing a good chemistry with Allen, this team could be deadly come playoffs...assuming the defense holds up its end of the bargain

Valid point but the Colts are with decent pass catchers. Pittman and Warren are a problem. How do they even catch the ball if Daniel Jones is not good.

Sunday McD strikes again. A strategy coach would have strongly advised against kicking that last field goal. A punt, a punt angled out of bounds ( to prevent any possible return) was the correct strategic decision. It’s virtually impossible for a team drive the ball down the field, 80 + yards, in 22 seconds with zero timeouts. It’s even unlikely a team could even get in position to throw a Hail Mary under those circumstances. Recall the 13 seconds game KC had all three timeouts and only needed a FG. Instead McD blunders again, and Mahomes second last pass was way too close to tying that game. These games are won on the margins, especially playoff games, and his strategic blunders have cost the Bills playoff losses in the past, and I don’t see any improvement in this area.Hire a strategy coach, not to make the final decision but to present best options away from the chaos that is an NFL sideline
Ideally, they should have gone for the 4th down instead of kicking the field goal. Even if they don't make it (as long as they don't take a sack) the Bills would have gained another 8 yards than the missed FG. And if they make the 1st down, then they simply can run out the clock. It was possibly the right decision among the three choices.

The offense is elite. It’s the reason we are a perennial super bowl contender. It’s the literal only reason we went from a joke to amazing. It’s absolutely mind blowing that BILLS FANS don’t get or appreciate this. We spend years fighting about JP Losman and Trent Edwards. Twenty years from now we will be sick thinking of how long we were great for and how we took it for granted. The defense IS THE PROBLEM. It’s been for 7 full years. All we ever have to do is make stops and we will win a Super Bowl. Nobody ever should be concerned or worried about the offense. Not only are they not a problem. They are an all time great. Fix the defense and we win a Super Bowl
The offense did have a chance to close out the game the last two years in the playoffs at the end of the game and came up empty. Some blame does go to this elite offense.

not at all. Burrow is elite...his quick release is a killer.

could have should have would have !!!
Team definitely would have been awesome..We also could have stayed put in the 2018 draft and drafted Lamar Jackson and kept our bounty of 2nd round picks.. So many iffs

Cook is on pace to have 325 carries for the season. He is not a large guy. I know his smooth running style and body control prevents him from taking a lot of big hits, but he is getting too much work imo. The problem is the Bills entire offense is so extremely reliant on him. If it feels difficult to remove him from the field because there is such a drop off, then it calls into question another area of roster building and depth where Beane deserves scrutiny.
Beane deserves scrutiny in lots of places

The biggest issue for most of the fans are the two losses. We were supposed to blowout those two upcoming teams; instead we allowed their young guns to be better than the reigning MVP.
The offense played poorly in those two games. The play calling was poor. We still had a chance to win both the games. If we scored the TD on that last drive against the patriots instead of the FG then we would have forced them to needing a TD and we didn’t.
bottom line, those losses hurt us so much that (and the way we lost) fans are not willing to acknowledge this accomplishment of the offense

Agree. This year our depth at WR/TE and RB is miserable.
7 hours ago, Kirby Jackson said:Good question. Um, he’s the best of the bunch. He absolutely makes them better than they are today. I’d also probably try giving Moore more routes (no pun intended). Maybe you can cobble together just enough to keep defenses honest. That way you can still run the ball and work the underneath stuff.
It has taken time for Moore and Palmer to get in sync with Allen. May be that will be a game changer in the 2nd half of the season

And for curisoity, I checked the yardage in the playoffs
Josh Allen is ranked 18th with 3359 yards.
He will overtake Jim Kelly for 12th position at 3864 yards. and can be in top 10, if he can cross 4511 total yards (about 1200 yards away to overtake Marino).
Amazing...

Dalton Kincaid is our Big Time future star passcatcher
He's already becoming a star before our eyes
That would be Keith McKellar...the K-gun was named after him. Another K-gun offense in the making. Still Missing Andre Reed replacement

Who is the new Andre Reed ? 🙂

We showed it in the game against the Chiefs....something that we should have done in the 4th quarter in the AFCC and that result would have been different.

He got a signing bonus of $285.356 and that's all that was guaranteed. Like many late round draft picks and UDFA, he probably has a "split contract" clause in his contract that lets the team pay him less while he's on IR, typically something like a 45% pay cut. So instead of $568k he'll get $312k. Total for year, $597.
There are still a lot of young people who would like $600k for a year's work, plus medical and life insurance. The problem, as you say, is that these kids had to be pretty single-minded about pursuing their dreams to get here. So it's very difficult to pivot.
I am sure he probably also spent $100K of that for a Injury Insurance that could be significant (meaning much more than the 600K)

Is there a changing of the guard in AFC power dynamics or is this an illusion? How good are the Colts, Broncos Patriots and for honorable mention the Chargers? Do the Bills need to be worried about any of these teams from a playoffs perspective? I know threads take on their own flavor but I am asking the questions in all seriousness to see what the read is from others.
I also get it that injuries will say a lot about what happens over the balance of the season. This aspect of the situation is anybody’s guess.
They are all playing easy schedules except for Broncos as they have to face the chiefs and the chargers twice.
The Bills need to take care of their business and win the games they are supposed to win and they would be 8-0 today.

Wasn't the guy a 5th round pick? How much of a bonus did he get? And I doubt his contract is guaranteed. That's not a large amount of money in the grand scheme of how much it costs to live in this era.
The money isn't nearly as big as having your dream cut short almost before it started. That sucks.
But they take big insurance against such injuries. His injury settlement with Bills also will probably give him his entire salary.
spoetrac shows his salary cap hit is 645K. Probably made a million with bonus.

No question the Bills are a top team. All the teams, including the contenders, have holes to fill. The question is could/should they have made a move to better their chances. Obviously they thought not. We will be in a better position to evaluate their decision at year end.
Maybe they tried and couldn’t work it out. Remember, it takes two hands to clap.
the Bills are tight under the Salary cap. They have aging players such as Jones, Johnson, Milano with large salaries and cap hits.
they have young guns such as Hoecht, Oliver on IR and cannot contribute and yet their salaries count against the capthem they have players who they paid big bucks but not delivered like Samuel, Knox, Bernard, White, Shakir, Palmer
and finally, their cost control players such as Davis, Williams, Coleman , Bishop (KC game could turn his career) have not stepped and contributed significantly.
The Bills can partake their draft picks but without offloading salary they cannot really make big decisions

Since the TE did't block him, he kinda got surprised...may be he thought Mahomes was going to drop one over him to the releasing TE. Baffled.
