Vrabel will most likely end up in New England, and he'll be the best coach in the division.

They will only really be missing that QB before being a force to be reckoned with

You can never be the best coach without a Franchise QB.  And Franchise QBs don't fall off the sky.  Go Bills !!!

Imo, Vrabel will go to a team which already has a high potential QB or in position to draft one high. He will not make the same mistake of rotating cast away QBs.

+1.  The Chargers...He will make a good defense out of the star players there and he will have a franchise QB.

BTW, one question - Why do all the media call it that "Coach XYZ got FIRED".   Why couldn't they just say that the team have parted ways after mutual discussion.

Right about how the coverage worked.  Hyde's may have been the best INT I've ever seen.

That INT by Hyde is one of the "moment" plays in Bills history as it changed the tone of that game completely.  If the Patriots score that TD they would have tied the game.  It is somewhat similar to the Taron Johnson pick six against the Ravens.

My dream scenario would be Dolphins get embarrassed so badly, they fire Mike McDaniel after another late season collapse.

Then to spite the franchise that let him go, he joins the enemy Buffalo Bills as the new offensive coordinator.

It'll never happen, and many Bills fans would probably hate the idea, but I think he'd do wonders for Allen.

Oh, and while I'm in fantasy land, Jim Schwartz gets bored with Cleveland & wants to accept a lateral move to take over the Bills DC position once again 😉

That short passing timing game requires speed on the skill players for the YAC.  We currently don't have players with that speed except may be Cook, but he simply cannot hold on to the football.

This one seems crazier than most. Which is odd, this isn't the first time we have hosted a wild card game. In fact, it is the 4th year in a row.

Maybe because Pittsburgh is a short drive and about as easy as visiting travel gets?

There won't be a situation like Buffalo in Miami, but anymore than 10% of the fans being black/gold and I will be pissed.

I thought the NFL always distributes a certain % of tickets to visiting team for Playoffs.

Don’t see him doing that. He’s a HC and either Chargers or Pats if BB is out.

Pats don't have a QB and he will not make the same mistake of not having a franchise QB.  He could be hell of a coach for the Chargers with Herbert and a great defense.

I didn't read the body language because I didn't see it. that trade didn't sink his or his team's fortunes.  it was the inability to have a quality QB.  AJ Brown is wasted on Tannehill/Levis.

Could we trade for AJ Brown?

While I agree that McDermott's treasured "resiliency" is admirable, the Brady/Belichick and Mahomes/Reid on-field products were/are (for the most part) much more disciplined and better-executed. No way were they overcoming so many self-inflicted setbacks.

I love the way McDermott's teams, highlighted this season (and 2021 specifically), have performed under adversity and caught their strides when it matters most. However, I HATE the way McDermott's teams, highlighted this season, have performed as favorites and faltered when it seemingly doesn't matter much early and midseason.

The admirable character this team has shown is in part a direct response to the regrettable yips they've also shown.

This year, five of the Bills’ six losses were to teams that did not qualify for the postseason, but they were 5-1 against playoff teams (with the loss in overtime to the Eagles where they were one 60 yard kick in the rain away from making it 6-0). When their best was mandated, they played their best.’

I seriously doubt Rivera comes to Buffalo. The only reason for my (somewhat tongue in cheek)comment was because of the unending Carolina connection that seems to find it's way to Buffalo.

would Wink Martindale work as our DC next year.  He resigned as a DC in NY today citing differences with Brian, his HC

I'm looking at this asking "when did Baylon Spector jump solidly ahead of Dorian Williams on the LB depth chart?"  My jaw dropped.  I got to admit he seemed to play pretty well.  Also, am I wrong but were they playing Spector in the middle?  Did I hallucinate that?

I am assuming Spector plays ST and Williams does not and hence Spector is on the game day roster

While the offense is a little vanilla I thought the game plan yesterday was perfect. Zero reason to run the ball at all. Allen was carving them up and moving up and down the field at will. A couple bonehead mistakes and a miss to Diggs were the only reason we didn't put up 40+.

Don’t forget the easy TD drop by Cook

As of noon today (Jan. 8), for a single night (Saturday):

    Marriott Millersport:  over $1000.

    Hampton downtown:  over $1000.

Marriott downtown, Westin downtown, Embassy Suites downtown:  No rooms available.

    Millennium:  Reservation system not working.

This is real money coming in to Erie County.  At least three of those hotels are owned by locals, and one is owned by the Pegulas.  The people spending this much on hotels will spend a lot on dinner and drinks, Uber and such.  This is good.

The value of hosting one or possibly two playoff games.  I am sure last years Miami WC game and divisional round against Bengals netted the same money to Eerie county

I actually think Dak should win it. He has the volume and efficiency, and his team is #2 seed. I don’t really understand the infatuation with Jackson.

Seems like whoever drives the narratives for these things in the media has decided though (Disney?)

    Jackson beat Purdy and Prescott

    Allen beat Prescott and Tua

    Tua beat Prescott

Against the three of the Top QB in the NFL, Prescott and his team came small.

Allen's crime is he lost to Mac Jones and Zach Wilson

Yeah, but we missed it anyway. At least trying the field goal is a shot at a 2 score game

Getting the 4th and 1 was more achievable than the long shot FG.  Also, if they missed the FG then they would give up another 8 yards in Field Position.  Right call wrong execution

The issue wasn't the tush push...the issue was they didn't actually do the tush push.  On the previous one, they outsmarted Miami and Josh LEAPED over the pile on a would be tush push and caught them by surprise.  The mistake was going back to the same well on the next attempt on the same drive.  The moment Allen jumps, thats it, no more momentum or much of a push.  The real push is NOT coming from the guy pushing on Allens butt, its the power in Allens legs to drive forward where then the push adds more to it.

When Allen is in the air on top of a pile against monster DL and LBs, their stength is MUCH greater than just some RB pushing on Josh's butt.  So the first leap was brilliant, the second one in a row when they were now expecting it and prepared for it was stupid.  They should have just done their normal tush push on the 2nd one so Allen and his legs had the potential to keep driving to get the first.

Brady shouldn't have called that again and should have went back to the normal real tush push because now Miami is having to defend both the leap and the actual low push.

Well said.  They should have been more creative here.

I'm not a dolphins hater the way most bills fans are. I actually think the dolphins are pretty Damm good at full strength and honestly, I don't wanna play them again this season. Having said that, the bills are the better team and have the better qb

In the playoffs, every team is good.  They are the best 7 teams in each conference and that is saying for something

looks like Douglas will be just fine, says he could have gutted it out if they needed him to but decided to let Dane ball.

Gabe knee looks to have been a contusion from falling in the end zone directly onto his knee. Likely a contusion with swelling.

Neither injury looks long term so thats great.

What about Dodson's shoulder injury. I don't see any updates online

Despite all the gaffs when we repeatedly shot ourselves in the foot, the play that pissed me off the most was not getting that last first down on 4th down with a half yard to go. We would have salted the game then and there and nobody would have sweated the final moments.

I think we lost a little bit of creativity there....We told the Dolphins what we were going to do and they were ready for it.  Instead, we could have fooled all of them and have cook play pitch and catch or Josh does an end around.

I don’t think that Shanahan offensive scheme is fooling the better teams and it requires a lot of absurdly fast guys on offense.  They’re headed for a rebuild in a couple years imo unless they can come up with elite defensive play.

Man,,,,But that speed was amazing....I wish we could have a few players with that speed...the only one that was any close to it was McKenzie.  I think Cook has that speed but ends up dancing too much

Fire Danny Crossman is always the right answer in fairness. I didn't realise he was their ST coach, although Harty's touchdown makes more sense now that I know he is.

HIs players collided with each other.  I don't think the coach has anything to do with that punt return

Diggs is barely a #1 anymore.  Ideally we draft someone to take over #1 from diggs. Diggs becomes the #2 later in the season and Shakir is the #3/slot guy.

He played like a #1 today.  He could have had an easy TD if Josh had thrown that deep ball with a little more accuracy

IMO, McD would have to record two consecutive losing seasons before the Bills would even consider firing him.....Pegula likes him, and he's turned this dead-end franchise into a perennial playoff participant....I think he's earned a longer leash with management than he has with the fans.

It all depends on how he does in the Playoffs.  If they have an early exit, there will be mumblings in One Bills Drive
