Agreed 100%.....Bledsoe was having 3.3 seconds on the avg while
Brady had about 3.8 seconds for his plays...
The problem was that whenever the pressure came from the inside,
DB couldn't handle it....And when he had the time, his throws were
underthrown or way off target or drops by the receivers (Evans
dropped a sure 1st down catch, and so did Moulds with that Jump
and out-of-bounds).
Yesterday's loss was more due to Bledsoe not executing the plan and
Clements not adjusting his play-calling based on what the pats were
throwing at us.

Parcells "genius" days are long gone. The Cowboys look more pathetic than the Bills.
The whole #1 Draft Pick argument has been repeated ad nauseum. We needed a QB to replace DB and he is already here. Bills need to target some PROVEN NFL PLAYERS in March Free Agency. Trade Henry and get another pick on draft day ( maybe a third rounder ) and concentrate on improving the roster.
What I would like to see is more a "team concept", the epitome of the
patriots than people who are interested in personal glory.
Spikes and Fletcher would have been well served to make tackles yesterday
night rather than wiffing in the air...
Our QB needs to play within the system.
Our OL has to protect for the kind of RB/QBs we have....(BTW McGahee
handles all the blitzes so effectively, giving Bledsoe the time to throw)

If we don't make the playoffs, the only slot we can fit in is 1 through 20.

Moulds puts up very good numbers against top CBs in the league. He's up against a practice squad player and a WR pretending to play CB. I'm sure there will be plenty of smash mouth running, but look for Moulds to dominate this secondary.
-and BTW, if the Pats overcommit to stopping Moulds, then look for plenty of huge gains with Evans, TEs, and the running game. The only person that can help with Moulds will be Harrison and if he is kept out of the box - look out - the Bills running game will be huge!
The pats have a dominatnt front four and good linebackers...
If they can stop the run, then they can apply huge pressure from the
middle on Drew...and as the previous game showed, the pats need their
opponents to make just one mistake that ehy will capitalize on their way to
victory....Hope Drew can play the perfect game.

Have Mularkey make the team look up the tapes of the
31-0 and 0-31 games from last year to see what we did goo to
win and what we did bad to loose.

I think that Gray did do a decent job against Weis earlier this year. Come on guys we were in the game at the beginning of the forth quarter and it's not like they were totally dominating us. I'm looking really forward to this game and it's going to come down to turnovers and time of posession imo. Not to mention field position. (advantage us.... Brian Morman)
Actually at one point we were up 17-7 in that game and then tied at 17-17
before that defensive penalty on 4th down that became an automatic FD
that resulted in a TD and then the costly fumble by DB.
-
I like the way MM will adapt, too, but all of the defensive coaches excluding the DB coach were here last year and calling the signals. Perhaps, or even likely, Gray is having a bigger say in making some changes, which daddy-looking-over-his-shoulder Gregg Williams may not have been in favor of. I'm not sure. Gray did say some things to the effect that it is his defense now and he will make some changes that he wasn't able to do before. If this is it, he is doing one hell of a job. This is something we will likely never know, though.
And don't forget Grandpa LeBeau :-)

The Great Gazoo
has Steve Foley & Joey Porter as OLBs on his All-AFC Mid-season Team... no TKO.
And has the Oakland guy as the punter.....Does he even realize in what
conditions the guy in Oakland and the guy in Buffalo are punting?

When a unproven RB from St. Louis was exchanged for a 3rd round pick
by the dolphins, I don't see any reason why the bills can't get a 2nd or
higher...It all depends on the FA market next year.....Which RB's are
going to be avialble (plus the draft).....If there is a bidding war for
Travis Henry, then the bills do hvae the advantage to dictate the terms.
-
And Peter King had the two NY teams as the #4th and #5th best teams in
the league just a week ago....He completely ignored the fact that the Giants
team was completely over-achieving and like to fall on the face of earth soon.
-
I don't. I also hope that we play them full strength. Screw that eas win crap.
I have faith in our defense to stop ANYONE in the league. Pitt's defense would tear our Offense apart, and they would win the game, but I don't think we would do any worse than NE, and Philly did. I bet we could hold them to less points too.
BRING IT ON!!!
It also depends on where the game is played....If it is at the RWS the outcome
could be different....Plus the only meaningful road game the stillers have
played was at Baltimore and they lost to them (of course before the Ben
era).

Well...I'm no Panthers Fan, but I'm a big John Fox Fan...The Panthers have been crushed by injuries this year, simply devastated...Injuries are a part of the NFL, but what has happened to the Panthers this year is almost inconcievable...
Mark my words Fox is one of the Top 5 Coaches in the NFL...And if they get Smith, Davis and Foster back, they'll start winning again before the Season is done... B)
MY point was not to put down Fox, but to show how balanced the NFL is...
The Patriots had something like 20+ players dinged up last year including
their OL and DL guys...It did not stop them from winning the super-bowl.

Things have changed since that game 5 weeks ago...
1. The bills have won 3 of the last 4 and winning builds confidence.
2. Emergence of McGahee and better O-line play
3. Return of Milloy to the defensive backfield has allowed the pass rushers
more freedom to rush the passer than play coverage.
4. McGee continuing to rip of big returns since that KR for TD against the pats.
5. Punting of Moorman
1. Pats are hurting on both sides of the ball.
2. The beating they took at Pittsburgh exposed some chinks in the armor.
3. Their run-defense has been average the whole season.
The game definitely will not be a blowout especially if bledsoe stays away
from mistakes. Hope the game is good and entertaining and as a bills fan
wish that the bills win this one.
-
Also, all the people who were ripping TD for not hiring John Fox the genius should see that the panthers score is 1-7.....It just goes to show how fickle the NFL is.
One day you go to the super bowl and the other day you remain in the
dog house....
Fox, Williams, Mularkey all were good coordinators who excelled in
gameplanning for the offense or defense. Their HC ability shows their lack of
experience in the job. Given the correct roster and the right breaks all of
them should be equally be able to win....
The same goes with the Jax coach too...He is winning this year, but there is
no guarantee that he is going to be winning next year...
-
Also, our pass rush has improved significantly in the last 2 games, with Schoebel getting involved....May be they will be put on more pressure on Chad unlike the
last game...especially that last drive.
-
Steve,
Never say never ever.......
I never thought i could ever even run beyond 2 miles.....however I
have successfully completed two marathons under a year and in
decent time too....never ever dreamt that I could do this....
Same goes to the bills...that is what keeps us watching them on
every sunday...

Thank you. Your response was the point I was trying to make.
JP is a rookie who has not yey played a down in a regular game, and poster after poster is expecting him to come in and save the day. One even cited his selection as a credit to Donahoe, again, before he has thrown a pass in a real football game.
It could be done and it could happen...Look at Pittsburgh...The same team
was struggling in their first 2 games with Tommy Maddox at the helm and
then Big Ben comes in relief and with his pocket presence and ability to
escape the heat, he has the steelers moving along at 5-1 and is yet to loose
a game....The same Burress who was invinisible when Maddox was throwing
(because Maddox was locked on to his primary target, Hines Ward) became
the guy who started punishing opposiing defenses for neglecting him
-
-
Yes never wanted us to get this guy from Jacksonville...He stunk up the joint
in Pgh and Jax...now he can add the bills to his list....
May be the crucial drop he had in the final drive to get the first down made
him the scapegoat.

Actually, we really do have the talent to be in the top 5....it's just the O-line is underperforming....oh, and our QB is a statue and can't get out of his own way....um, and we have the worst safties in the league....er, our FG kicker is sort of weak...oh, and our D-line doesn't get enough pressure, and we give up too many 3rd-down conversions...and we are out-coached every week.....but seriously, other than that we do have some of the best individual talent in the League!!
And you forgot,
the RBs cannot convert 3rd and 1s......Our WRs can't hold on to the
ball...the RBs cannot block....
Every team has its flaws in this era of free-agency....The teams that convert
the chances that come their way win and make the playoffs...Sadly we have
not been able to do that..
-
I really can't discount "Angry Man's" argument, he makes all good points. I guess everyone really should stop complaining about TH and if you have to complain, B word and moan about the poor blocking up front. Put TH on most any other team in the league and he might actually put some great numbers up, not that he hasn't done that already with a very average at best, line in Buffalo!!
I think the real complaint about TH is his inability to finish a play this year....either making the block or completing that 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2.....
I sent TD a really nice Question on BB.com

Actually that was not true....They mentioned that Dillon had 100+ yards of
rushing yesterday after his 1st contact....Our D was very poor in tackling
yesterday...Just horrendous.
